When has he whined and sulked? Have you heard him do that? Sounds like speculation. I have never heard him whine or sulk. If anything he has put blame on himself.
I said average line. It's just a difference of philosophy. I think it's easier to get quality linemen later in the draft than it is to get quality playmakers or pass rushers so I would always take the playmaker or pass rusher over the lineman.
In the movie trailer, they had Costner deliver his line saying "every year someone comes out of this thing looking like a donkey" then they immediately showed your aforementioned shot of Buffalo and the Ralph. I had to LOL even though it was an obvious quick shot at Buffalo for blowing their chance to get this movie.
My personal philosophy is to take elite playmakers or pass rushers in the top ten over linemen.
In today's NFL, i would rather build my team with elite skill players and average linemen rather than having elite linemen and average playmakers.
Drafting a right tackle in the top ten is a dumb strategy in my mind. Trading up for a right tackle is even dumber. But hey I am just a guy behind a computer screen.
There is some twitter buzz this afternoon. Apparently schefter was on the mike lupica show and said the bills would "love to" move up to 1 for clowney. I did not hear this myself.
@Merk256: Adam Schefter on the Mike Lupica show #ESPNRadio: The #Buffalo #Bills would Love to go to #1 for J.Clowney
@SalSports: After hearing Whaley talk Friday + reports from Pompei & now Schefter re: Bills wanting to go to #1, I believe (don't know) it to be true…..
I don't wanna turn this into a Manuel thread. But I don't think it's thinking negatively. When you're unsure if you have a QB, you shouldn't be trading away your main resource to get one.
The problem is, and schopp and BD touched on this, is when/if Manuel fails this year, you're now without that #1 and more and likely can't get a top QB prospect.
I just couldn't believe how much Murph's opinion of the player changed. He was very anti TE just a few weeks ago. He either had a dramatic shift in philosophy or someone in the organization swayed him.
I had this thought last night listening to murph. Two weeks ago he was talking up Chandler and poo pooing Eric Ebron. His tune has shifted dramatically on that. I wondered if he may have a hint that the Bills love Ebron.
