  1. As someone mentioned, he might have been "overdrafted" but he is in no way a bust. He is a solid contributor to the defense. He is not in any way part of the problem with the team.
  2. We need a big DL up the middle who can run block and pull double teams, be a pro bowler like oh …. We need a speedy WR with good hands who can make great catches and go deep and on the outside, run good routes like oh …. We need a good RB for a change up to McCoy like that guy in NE We need another quality corner for special formations and for depth. If we can’t resign our rental CB, EJ, we will also need another starter at corner. Would have been nice to have a quality CB sewed up for another year or two at a low price We need a right OL and a right OG, just like last year We probably will need a Kyle replacement if he retires We might be able to wait a year, but Richie is getting up there in age and need to think about grooming a replacement We still need a Franchise QB like we have since oh, when we had that Kelly guy We need pretty much quality depth at all positions …. But hey we have all that “character” on our team and all that trust in the mysterious all mighty “process” We are really going to need this draft to be very successful since we have 19 million in dead cap money that we can’t use to get talent in free agency Lucky we have such an experienced veteran HC and GM to guide us through all this
  3. Fact: Whaley was with the Bills since 2010 as assistant manager. He became GM within days of the trade for Hughes in 2013. He was already defacto GM, since Nix was already on his way out long before he officially left. I challenge you to highlight exactly where in my post I stated Sean did not have anything to do with Hyde, I stated it could have been Whaley or Sean. I never mentioned Brandon, but Brandon was not with the team till May 9th.. The draft was held in April. He could not have been involved in the selections in the 2017 draft. I may be incorrect on this fact, but I believe Brandon was still a Carolina employee at the time of the draft. To be employed by a team while making a decision for a competitor would be a serious ethical violation. You are seriously uniformed, unable to deal in facts, and have an inability to either read or comprehend even simple statements. Please consider quitting before you further embarrass yourself. You may have your opinions, but they are definitely not backed up by any legitimate facts whatsoever. It is great that Hyde was signed by whoever actually did it. He deserves all the credit he gets for his play.
  4. I don't know the inner workings of the team. But McD had just been with the team a little over a month when Hyde was signed in FA. He had not worked with Hyde before. How can you assume that this FA signing was all McD? Maybe it was Whaley. This McD worship, and hate of Whaley is really tiring. Everyone that is good is because of McD, everything bad is because of Whaley. This is crap, give up the crusade. I guess Lorax is bad and so is Hughes. They are all Whaley "funk".
  5. I agree it definitely is a Billsy move. But I am happy for Jay Jay. He is now on a winning team and has a chance to get a ring or two, something I think he would not have had a very good chance at with the Fins. Boy, I can't believe how non little top quality non QBs are valued by their teams, and how foolish they are about how realistic their chances are of getting a player of equal quality in rounds after the 2nd. Lucky for the Bills, the Bills are not the only bad gamblers in the NFL. I would have given the 4th in a heartbeat for Jay Jay.
  6. It the Bills way. It is "The Process"
  7. Check out the video of this touchdown by Martavis Bryant while holding it on the back of his leg. How can the Jets touchdown, as ruled on the field, be conclusively overruled and turned into a turnover? This NFL ruling should be subject to criminal investigation due to legalized sports gambling. http://www.slate.com/articles/sports/sports_nut/2016/01/the_10_most_horrifying_moments_in_the_steelers_bengals_game.html
  8. This is good enough for me. He does his job and fills a role. It is about more than just the number of sacks. It is about making the team as a whole better, which he does.
  9. After I posted the figures some put astericks on the figures. As of the same time last year we are at the same point as we were last year. The point is we are no better than we were last year. It is about the Wins, not hopes and dreams. And false comparisons like in Reddogs sig line/ Bills Coaches since Wade: Sean McDermott .600 Mike Mularkey .438 Gregg Williams .354 Rex Ryan .484 Perry Fewell .428 Chan Gailey .333 Doug Marrone .469 Dick Jauron .421 Anthony Lynn .000 Comparing full year or multiple year winning stats with McD's after 5 games and showing him somehow better is dishonest. It won't be relevant till at least a full season at the least. Maybe a comparison of the first 5 games as coach might be a more valid comparison.
  10. Comparing “The Process” McD to Evil Rex the first 5 games of the season last year Record 2016 - 3-2 Record 2017 - 3-2 Win streak 2016 Last 3 games - Wins against Cardinals 1-1, Patriots 3-0 & Rams 3-1 Win steak 2017 Last 3 games - Wins against Atlanta 3-0, Denver 2-0 & loss to 1-3 Bengals And no, I was never a fan of Rex. McD, Coach of the Year candidate?
  11. Check is in the mail The Doctor is in the office And I won't .......
  12. Does anyone have the stats on Miller, how is he rated at RG this year compared to the other NFL starters? Is he really that bad that we would start a horrible Vlad?
  13. Hey, I always have thought there should be special sub BBs for special types of people : Kool Aide Drinkers & Rose Colored Glasses Only- for those that think being a fan means never questioning the players, coaches or management . Only positive statements and discussions supporting them, no matter what. Grammar Nazis Only - It not important what you say, it is how grammatically correct you say it. It would make TBD more pleasant for non Kool Aide drinkers and Grammar Nazis and they would be less irritated by those that don't think and write the way they do. Seriously, at least 20 - 30% of every longer thread ends up being someone personally insulting other posters rather than discussing issues and facts.
  14. If you truly want a sleeker and speedier BB, how about also stopping putting posts about similar subjects into unmanageable mega threads. 50 pages is too long a thread to easily follow. Smaller threads are faster on the system end and a whole lot easy for the user to navigate, especially with devices like smartphones. And unless it has an automatic and intuitive search engine, finding older posts beyond a couple of pages is a real pain. What was said preseason or more than a month old is old news anyway. If the topic hasn't been discussed in the last couple of pages, it is old news and probably already irrelevant to the current situations. Keep it simple and fresh!
  15. Interesting so many think Dareus is so bad. The ratings don't show him as anything less than a quality starter. He may not be playing up to his contract, but he is definitely a quality starter. http://www.newyorkupstate.com/buffalo-bills/index.ssf/2017/09/buffalo_bills_marcell_dareus_holds_long_streak_in_run_game_says_pro_football_foc.html
  16. All this Dareus Hate. Yes, he does not play up to his incredible talent and potential. Yes, he may be playing hurt. He still is capable of being an asset and a beast on the field. The offenses still are game planning around him. Yes, his contract was a huge mistake by the Bills. But this nonsense about taking a huge cap hit is idiotic. When his contract will allow a trade without a massive cap hit, go ahead and give him another chance to "prove it" with another team. not at a loss though. And this elevation of McD as some saintly genius. This worship of some nebulous "process" as a miracle cure. I see McD as a egotistical crusader who has been able to correct the damage done to the defense by another egotistical personality named REX. The Bills D was great before Rex, it has just returned to where it was pre-Rex. Yes, somebody did great on bringing in Poyer , Hyde. They hit the jackpot on Tre in the draft. They brought in Hauschka in FA. It amazes me that everyone gives McD 100% of the credit for them, but puts down Whaley for other selections. If it turned out good, it was McD, if it turned out bad it was Whaley. Everything that happens that turns out good is because of the "process", while everything that happens bad is Whaley's fault. The Offense under McD is much worse than when McD was brought in. McD has not proven anything other than he does not suck as bad as Rex did on the Defensive side of the ball.
  17. We presently have a group of WRs that is marginally talented at best. Zay has been what could be called "marginal at best". But he is a rookie, so he gets a pass for a year before he can be labeled "a bust". We hope the light does come on for him. The Bills coaching staff feels these WRs are the most talented players they can put on the field. They beat out the players on our PS, so the coaching staff feels they are even inferior to even the marginally talented players we already have at starters. And the coaching staff feels those inferior players are better than the players available on the 30+ other team's PS in the NFL, or they would have poached them already. Getting a player from your own, or another team's PS means you are getting a player you feel is even more marginally talented than the players on our active roster, one of the worst WR rosters in the NFL today. That does not make the team better, or replace the only proven talented player we had on our WR roster. Signing a FA or a trade is the only way you can improve on one of the worst WR rosters in the league. And the FA pickings are pretty slim. If I were the Bills, I would be figuring out exactly what it would take to convince one of our own, Boldin, to unretire. At 3-1, it might be more attractive to him than he expected. And if he plays 3 or 4 games and decides to again retire, he will be a competent replacement while Matthews recuperates.
  18. Oh Yeah! After calling a timeout he sends out only 10 players. And all those McD cultists on this BB are nominating him for coach of the year
  19. Buffalo Wins because of : The Buffalo Defense. The Buffalo Defensive Backs! Hauschka! Clay. McCoy not having a horrible game. TT not making mistakes and being a decent game manager. Buffalo’s only reliable WR makes a TD catch before suffering a serious injury. The Buffalo offense not getting in the way of the Buffalo Defense’s win.
  20. Our expectations are so low we judge that a finally acceptable, average performance by a QB as A+? TT greatest strength has been his excellence at avoiding costly turnovers. Our WRs are still overall, a poor group. Jones has been worthless so far. Holmes just barely acceptable. Matthews has been the competent bright spot as WR . Clay and the TEs are playing well. McCoy could file for non-support. Our new kicker had a great game. The O-line without Glenn is barely passable. The right side has continued to be a major liability, which is management's fault for the lack of talent. The D has been stellar. The D gave us great field position on stops and on turnovers multiple times. The offense squandered a majority of those "gimmes". The D made stop after stop and has changed the tide of the game repeatedly. The D turned an expected "L" into a "W". Denver's QB was merely pedestrian and made costly mistakes, the Denver coaches made stupid decisions, Denver players took stupid penalties that hurt themselves repeatedly. Coaching was still suspect beyond the D, time management continued as suspect. Yes, when compared to the dumpster fire of Rex, it looked better, but the HC, O-line coach and OC still have a lot to prove. And management decisions on who to keep or release still look bad. Really, Tolbert is a short yardage specialist, not a #2 running back. And we HAD good backup RB talent at a reasonable cost that we let go. Management and ownership still have a whole lot to prove. The takeaway I got from the game was that the D continues to be stellar. Management, coaching, the offense and ST managed to keep out of the way this game and to at least be passable and not make too many mistakes to ruin the D's efforts. This win is another feather in the D's cap.
  21. I think the last QB our coaches had faith in to read the field and call audibles regularly was Orton. He was smart and skilled, and knew how to do it all. Unfortunately, he was at the point in his career where he was unwilling to take that extra hit or extra punishment to win at all costs. He had lost that competitive fire to risk the pain and risk getting severely hurt just to win the game. He knew exactly what to do, and had the skill to do it, but was just unwilling to do it anymore.
  22. I think 2012 was at least comparable to this year. I think that 2 games into the season even TJ Graham had 3-10 and 39 yards like Jones has. And both the first two rounders were already legitimate proven starters. Zay and Dawkins have yet to really prove very much in the real season that they belong.
