Sorry, I forgot that the success of the team is almost solely contingent on whether or not Allen can play a flawless game without having a single bad play.

People can see the writing on the wall. Year 8 with the best QB in football - probably the most physically-gifted QB ever - and they can't get to the promised land because the same fatal flaws keep cropping up over and over and over again. They looked brutal for long stretches during most of their wins, by the way.

It's not the Pats game in and of itself. It is the OBVIOUS reality that the stubborn coaching staff refuses to do anything different, and that the same flaws that bounced us from the playoffs in years past are going to clearly keep them from the Super Bowl yet again.

Return of the Throwbacks (First time since 2021) and records
T.E. replied to Mr Wild's topic in The Stadium Wall
Would like to see the blue throwbacks. Haven't worn those in years. -
Beans and Sean - Should we miss the SB again

Won road playoff games against Peyton Manning and Tom Brady too. McDermott couldn't even do that against Deshaun Watson and Blake Bortles.- 217 replies

I think we have to keep in mind that the Bills' GM/HC relationship is not a traditional one. McDermott essentially hired Beane.

I would rather keep a good defensive coach who took two Mark Sanchez-led teams to the AFCCG out of the division. He'll build a physical roster that will give us problems on offense.

Trading the Worthy pick to KC was a great example of this hubris.

Sir, have you considered just being grateful that we were able to snap up a Process®️ player who is also familiar with The System®️ we run on defense?

Great uniform matchup with both teams wearing the throwbacks

When you see a Cold Front jersey, what is the first thing on your mind?
T.E. replied to HOUSE's topic in The Stadium Wall
Agree 100%. This is going to ruffle some feathers, but when the whole "Bills Mafia" stuff became a thing, everything got lamer. It appealed to people who like the pageantry of football more than they actually like the game itself, and with that came all this extraneous nonsense. -

I see an attempt to turn the Bills into something they're not. Gaudy alternate uniforms, whiteouts, "Mr. Brightside" during the 4th quarter - none of this fits the culture of the franchise or the city. Being a Bills fan is cool because we're unique; stop trying to copy things other teams do. -
What did you do to cause the Bills to lose?
T.E. replied to Miyagi-Do Karate's topic in The Stadium Wall
I had a weird tradition for awhile where I wore a T-shirt that was the opposing team's color, and it worked for several weeks one year. Retired the superstition after a black T-shirt did not prevent a sound beating of our Bills by the Oakland Raiders. -
Yeah, McDermott can blame whomever he wants, but the fact of the matter is that the same flaws we're seeing this season were issues in past years with completely different rosters and coordinators. He's the common denominator.

Ridiculous stat that sums up the secondary play

You have to be closer to the receivers to actually break up the pass.- 58 replies

For all you McDermott haters, who would you want? (Now a poll)
T.E. replied to Draconator's topic in The Stadium Wall
This is my position. It's not about finding someone who we know is definitively better; it's more about trying something new. I could coach this team to 10-7 with Allen - they're not going to start missing the playoffs if we shake things up a bit. -
I'd love to see them stop the completely ineffective DL rotation, just play the best four down lineman for most of the game, and see where the chips fall.

Everyone forgets that Rex Ryan took the Jets to two AFC Championship games (winning on the road against both Manning and Brady along the way) with Mark Sanchez at QB. Everyone forgets that Doug Marrone was a bad officiating call away from taking a Blake Bortles-led Jaguars team to the Super Bowl. -

I would also like to add that I really dislike the identity this team has, and that's all on the coach. We take what the defense gives us on offense; we react to what the offense does on defense...it's all really passive and designed with an objective of not losing rather than playing to win. It's created this environment where the players are flat for most of the game and then borderline-panicky during big moments. They're soft, and that fact rears it's ugly head every time we play a physical team that is well-coached. -

T.E. replied to Draconator's topic in The Stadium Wall
No. The identity he has constructed for this team requires the offense to essentially be close to perfect for long stretches both in games and over the course of a season to consistently win. Tough to do over a playoff run, though they were halfway there in 2021 before you-know-what happened. -
My god, do you hear that? It’s Gabe Davis’ music!
T.E. replied to FireChans's topic in The Stadium Wall
I think the only hope for something comparable to that with our cap situation is to hit on a draft picks, but that requires some draft capital to be spent on that position. -
Yes, the fan whiteout is something a WNBA franchise would do, and we were rightfully punished for it.

A Few Thoughts about the Pats Game - Post yours as well
T.E. replied to Virgil's topic in The Stadium Wall
There were three big defensive series where we needed a stop, and they gave up two long TD drives and the game-winning FG on said series. They always, always, fail to step up in big moments.
