  1. He should be. He's gotten everything he's wanted and more regarding the defensive line, and he and Beane continue to unearth one undersized stiff after another. He's gotten everything he's wanted regarding the secondary, and it's filled with mediocre and below-average vets and young guys who are always hurt. If the defensive s**ts the bed again this year after they refused to allocate any resources to help Allen, it will be all on him, and he knows it.
  2. A game they were dying to blow, by the way, until a Mark Andrews drop bailed them out.
  3. What is the argument here? That because he was the victim of an unfortunate freak accident (that ended up turning out okay), he just automatically gets a roster spot in perpetuity?
  4. Looked like he came up lame there
  5. Some real pinpoint passing by Buechele on that drive.
  6. Yeah, a lot of guys seem fairly unconcerned that a last place team from 2024 clearly has a deeper backup roster than us.
  7. Davidson having one of the worst preseason in recent memory. Feel bad for the guy at this point.
  8. I think the worst I saw was that game in 2014 against Tampa where they left Manuel in the game well into the second half just so he could score a single point for his confidence, and then Marrone pretty much demanded they bring in Orton because EJ was so incompetent.
  9. I don't mind a butt-kicking in preseason as long as you see some guys make a few plays. What has been the standout play? Is there one? Tough to be positive about no positives.
  10. Maybe good news for Shavers?
  11. Oh, I was talking about the play in the AFCCG lol
  12. My ass is still chapped about them ruling that a catch after the ball clearly hit the ground. What a joke.
  13. The main prerequisite for the backup QB position is being friends with Allen. I get you have to make your franchise player happy, but they haven't made a real attempt to find a competent guy that can step in for a month a keep the season afloat since signing Keenum.
  14. This will never be said publicly because it's insensitive, but he seems to care more about developing this brand as the guy who almost died during a game than he does about improving as a player.
  15. Bears having a domed stadium is wrong on so many levels, but who cares about tradition when you can host a Super Bowl!
  16. Yeah, I can understand being outmatched, but that's no excuse for being completely flat.
  17. You know, these teams practiced together all week. The coaches may even have an agreement where the Bears want to get Caleb some stress-free reps and the Bills agreed to go vanilla as possible on the defensive side. Conversely, the Bills may want to get a good idea who to pick between White and Trubiskey and want the Bears to bring a little heat to simulate a real game situation.
  18. The entire secondary as a whole, and it's 100% due to selecting players who will "work well in the system" rather than getting the best players you can and adjusting the defense to their strengths.
  19. I'm assuming Hamlin or Bishop will start Week 1, right? They're both in there and it seems like they are AWOL on every passing play over the middle longer than 15 yards.
  20. All the pregame hype during regular season and even playoff games is annoying, I sure as hell don't need it for a preseason game.
  21. I've got an unorthodox choice who I think would bring a lot of value to this team - what about a guy like Derwin James?
  22. It's so lame, and they way they tried to inorganically make it some type of Bills tradition just reeks of the kind of crap that newer franchises do when they have zero existing fan culture.
  23. Fair enough. Those years from 09-13 kinda all run together
  24. Nix was at least was making a genuine attempt to win. The real lean years were when Russ Brandon was calling all the shots. That entire era felt like a showcase to ultimately move the team to Canada.
