    I honestly can't blame them for letting him walk. His performance in the Lions and Rams games at the end of the year was like the ultimate "This guy is never winning you a SB" sign.

    The last QB they drafted to win more than one playoff game in the same season was Fran Tarkenton.

    Is this terribly important for non-QB players? If their priority is playing well themselves, and they consistently do, that's probably good enough in most cases.

    This season is going to only get worse, I'm afraid. I'm in the camp that doesn't understand why so many just assume the playoffs are a given this year.

    I would also like to see him try to come into camp next year not tipping the scales at like 380.

    I really enjoy listening to him as well. He has a reasonable view of the team, isn't afraid to criticize them when deserved, and doesn't come off like a condescending know-it-all like some of the other podcast hosts.

    Here is the problem with Diggs. He becomes a huge negative when things aren't going well. He would be a nightmare during a season like this. That being said, he has an edge to him that no one on this team has, and it's an edge they need.

    He's always been a bit of a loudmouth who I suspect is not as popular with his teammates as we're led to believe.

    The whole team reminds me of the couple we all know who fell out of love years ago, but are sticking out for the kids even though it means they will never be happy until they finally pull the trigger and get a divorce.

    You're probably 100% right actually, despite what "people in the building" say. Do you think any normal GM, who wasn't hired by the HC like Beane was, would spend their first five draft picks on defense and their sixth on a blocking TE when you have Josh Allen and no #1 WR?

    I have. I think almost nothing would rejuvenate the fan base more than bringing in fresh blood and a second set of eyes regarding this team. I can't imagine how low the overall mood and level of enthusiasm will be if we decide to run it back again with the same philosophy and players.

    Ah yes, the old "Dont believe your lying eyes" line with McDermott defensive players. "He was never mentioned during the entire broadcast and made no plays of note, but if you were smart enough, you'd see that he was actually fantastic." Okay.

    And, of course, they jerked him around forever because he plays offense, a side of the ball the front office and coaching staff couldn't care less about.

    I keep reading this and don't understand the logic behind it. What, exactly, about playing on a new field next door would be too difficult for a new regime to figure out? Honest question.
