I took a flyer before the season on Baker to win MVP at 21:1. After a few weeks,I had the opportunity to cash out at 4X my original bet, but didn't do it. I don't think that one is going to come through for me.
I honestly can't blame them for letting him walk. His performance in the Lions and Rams games at the end of the year was like the ultimate "This guy is never winning you a SB" sign.
Is this terribly important for non-QB players? If their priority is playing well themselves, and they consistently do, that's probably good enough in most cases.
This season is going to only get worse, I'm afraid. I'm in the camp that doesn't understand why so many just assume the playoffs are a given this year.
I really enjoy listening to him as well. He has a reasonable view of the team, isn't afraid to criticize them when deserved, and doesn't come off like a condescending know-it-all like some of the other podcast hosts.
