I honestly can't blame them for letting him walk. His performance in the Lions and Rams games at the end of the year was like the ultimate "This guy is never winning you a SB" sign.
Is this terribly important for non-QB players? If their priority is playing well themselves, and they consistently do, that's probably good enough in most cases.
This season is going to only get worse, I'm afraid. I'm in the camp that doesn't understand why so many just assume the playoffs are a given this year.
I really enjoy listening to him as well. He has a reasonable view of the team, isn't afraid to criticize them when deserved, and doesn't come off like a condescending know-it-all like some of the other podcast hosts.
Here is the problem with Diggs. He becomes a huge negative when things aren't going well. He would be a nightmare during a season like this.
That being said, he has an edge to him that no one on this team has, and it's an edge they need.
The whole team reminds me of the couple we all know who fell out of love years ago, but are sticking out for the kids even though it means they will never be happy until they finally pull the trigger and get a divorce.
