  1. Maybin brings something to mind. If the "new" CBA does not address the Rookie Salary, which currently goes between 20-50 mil for the first few top picks - do we really want to spend that money on anything but a franchise potential QB? We need D badly, very badly. But that's a ton of cash for a D-lineman now days, expecially one that hasn't taken a snap in the NFL. Maybin hit the lottery due to a few good plays and a whole lotta talk from the experts that our Draft Gurus bought hook line and sinker.
  2. I've been watching tape after tape after tape. I was on the VMill train, but not anymore. I like Fairley. ALOT. From what I saw, double teamed or not, he lives in the backfield. He puts pressure on QB's. He is Dominant. But most of all, he is really really MEAN. We need mean. Marcell Dareus is a force, but in comparison to what I watched - Fairley is quicker and more aggressive. Von Miller scares me - great talent, but technique and size are my concerns - my gut tells me he won't produce to expectations in the NFL. Is Pass rush our MAIN priority? No, most Teams feel they can run on us and do so with ease - right up the middle in most cases. 1-2 sacks per game, 5-6 pressure aren't going to change things up - stuffing the run will. I miss the days when I could enjoy watching us sack a QB several times in a game - years ago. Perhaps someday we'll get there again. Shore up the run D first, then focus on pass rush. I'm sick and tired of watching 2nd and 3rd string RB's average 6-8 YPC against us.
  3. The China made Jerseys aren't that bad. I have two, and they fit well and look the same as my Bills Store Jersey. With the way players rotate in and out, I pretty much figure that it'll be outdated in a season or two anyway. We're going back to the White Helmet? Yuck. I'd have to go with Stevie Johnson from the list, hoping that he isn't a one year wonder.
  4. Does anyone have any hope that Maybin can actually be a good football player for us?
  5. I think the Trade is wishfull thinking. We could certainly use more picks for D, but I don't get the feeling Philly wants Peterson bad enough to give away so much. I like Kolb, and think he's be a good second option behind Fitz should he go down. Certainly solves those nagging QB depth issues we have - but he isn't a Franchise QB right now. His numbers are pretty close to Fitz.
  6. I can't see trading down past 8-10. I think the Boardroom is enamored enough with VMill that we stay and pick him up. I'd love to be in NE shoes with 2 picks in each of the first three rounds, but that ain't happening no matter what trade down scenario is proposed. We seriously need help on D, in many positions - not just OLB. I've watched many films of VMill - the man doesn't do well against the run, and a hybrid position was created for him to take advantage of his pass rush skills (Meaning, how well will he really translate into the NFL?). Pass rush is just on area. Last year, when the 3rd string RB from the Jets broke 100 yards against us (After the First 2 strings bent us over), I think Run stopping has to be a priority. A decent QB to sit behind Fitz is a good idea (Although the crop this year is a little scary) - what happens when Fitz goes down this year to an injury - it will happen, it always happens. We are one injury away from getting that top pick next year (Hello Mr. Luck) - so we might as well pile up on D and let the rooks get a year of playing time. I'm already consigned to a slightly better Season than last year IF we improve on D, but that will stop once Fitz gets hurt.
