Bowers, he played at a top-tier level in 2010 & we kept Merriman who last 15 minutes in practice.

After reading that, how did he play so well in 2010 ?? Was it an accident or was he dominant ?? Injuries / health are always in question in the NFL. I would just rather pay him 2nd round money just in case, versus first round like everyone else passed on.

The Bills will not pay a 3rd rounder any money that is needed to bring in a unknown, this is all a smokescreen to leverage a better down / out scenario.

Ralph isn't in the market to pay a unknown guy $45 Million for sure, it's just not Buffalonian like. Even if we draft the next coming of Christ, Ralph will say too much after 5 years & curb him anyways.

I think this is right because of the amount of guaranteed owed to a 3rd pick will be the biggest Bills contract ever, that's just not going to happen on Ralph's life.

The early drafting teams got a break in that the league delayed following the judge's orders to open the doors for business. Without FA being a option or with no ability to trade players, teams like the Eagles who had a potential first round pick value in Kolb to trade have to wait until next year. It's about time that if teams wants a highly talented player early, they'll have to pay through the nose for it & Buffalo gets a break.
