  1. Thnx. One thing i'm kinda fuzzy on is my C and D drives. Not sure if its just one drive that seprated into 2, or are they 2 different drives. The owners manual lists a 60GB drive, and the System recognizes the C containing 15GB and the D containing 39 GB.

  2. Like Fez Said, download the Maxtor HD test from their website and run it. I always run the "burn in" test. That's the test that will let you know for sure if the drive is bad or not.

    Here's what you need.....

    PowerMax

I ran that program last night. Ran the Advanced Smart test and it said the drive was failing. I copied down the 8-digit diagnostic code and am going to the Maxtor site. I bought the computer almost 5 years ago so do you think the drive is still under warranty? Couldnt find mine listed so i'll need to buy another. What do I look for in a new one?

  3. Ok, so the other day I was listening to some songs on iTunes. I keep all my music files on my D drive. The system froze up and when I rebooted everything was running super slow and taking forever to boot up. worst of all I cant even access my D drive. I tried to defrag it and it wasnt even listed under hte C drive where it usually is. Curious if anyone knows what might have happened and what I can do to get things running back to normal.

  4. It used to, at least.  I have my doubts it would these days.  I know more than a few people, at least, who would openly celebrate if Bush were assassinated.

Which I don't mean as a political statement.  I'm just bemoaning how low our country has sunk.

Thats likely not going to happen considering that the same Military-Industrial complex that took out JFK has this administration in its back-pocket.

  5. Here are several of my favorites:

    Frank Zappa-Muffin Man and Fifty-fifty

    SRV-Little Wing

Steve Vai-For the Love of God

    Robin Trower-Daydream

Chicago (Terry Kath)- 25 or 6 to 4

    David Bowie (Robert Fripp)-Fashion

Frank Zappa- "Yo Mama" and "Return of the Son of Shut Up and Play Your Guitar"

  6. Progress!  Labatts takes some searching in SoCal.  Usually it is Molson Canadian and Moosehead.  They used to have large cans of Labatts available like the Fosters version that were perfect for the beach.  However, I think I was the only one buying them so they are no longer available.

Now if they could get us some Brador (with the potency of the Canadian side of the border) that would be even nicer!

Does anybody know if they sell Labatts Wildcat in the Buffalo area?  I drank some Wildcat when up in Quebec.  It had a variety of potencies from I believe 7 - 10 %.  It gives one a smacking.

I might be up in L.A. this weekend for the SC game, I may try Big Wangs.

Thanks for the tip and nice work getting the Labatts on the menu!

Moosehead was the beer that they took out and replaced with Labatts.

  7. This sports bar in Hollywood, Big Wangs, at the corner of Cahuenga and Selma, one block north of Amoeba Music, started carrying Labatts. Its owned by some Boston area people, but I was able to talk them into getting Labatts. They have a special, $2.75 a pint during NHL Center Ice action, not as cheap as back home, but not bad for out here. Just a heads up for L.A. based TBD'ers.
