I hear ya....and I think in my mind Margot Kidder will always be Lois Lane.....I was just hoping that Kate would really pull it off, but you're like the third or fourth person I've heard say she wasn't that great.
How was Parker Posey? I always get a kick out of her, and I actually find her quite attractive in some odd way
the Lois Lane from the 50's tv show had a cameo as the old woman who Lex Luthor swindles her out of her money. Jimmy Olsen was the bartender at the spot where Clark and the new Jimmy are having a beer.

Just got back from seeing it at Manns' Chinese Theatre. A little long I thought, enjoyed the nods to the Chris Reeve movies, especially the dedication during the end credits. Didnt seem like much chemistry between the two principal characters, and although I appreciate the effort, Brandon Routh came off as fairly bland, although that might just be a reflection of Superman overall. Anyway, thats just my opinion.

Look me up if you do this, I live one block north of Hollywood Blvd and LaBrea. Runyon Canyon is located in my neighborhood, if you feel like taking about a half-hour hike, the view at the top is pretty spectacular. Depending on haze, you can see from Downtown L.A. all the way to the ocean, maybe even catch a celebrity or two walking their dog or jogging.
Pink's, which is a famous hot dog stand is about a mile down street from me also, corner of LaBrea and Melrose.

What bar do you watch the games at in Toluca Lake? I have been watching the games with about ten Sabres fans at Hollywood Billiards on Hollywood Blvd where it meets the 101. Good screens, decent food, cold beer, mostly hot waitresses. Will be there for game seven if you want to join us.
Timmy Nolans on Riverside Drive, its right over the hill , Cahuenga, take a right on Barham, go past Warner Bros, make left on Pass Ave, left on Riverside and go about a mile. I used to go to Hollywood Billiards but the parking sucks. This place is kinda like Cheers, everyone knows your name.

Since both of you are referencing Floyd-related music, have either of you picked up tix for Roger Waters shows this fall? He will be doing the entire "Dark Side of the Moon" in his second set. I am taking a road-trip to Philly to see him at the Tweeter Center in Camden on a Sat. night. I may go see him at the Nissan Center the next Sat. but only if my friend who lives nearby is in town.

I work M-F between 2pm and 10:30 pacific, and dont have Tivo, so I've been having to keep checking my cellphone every 5min for scoring updates. On Tues, when I saw that it was going to OT, I took an early lunch and raced down the street to this bar in Toluca Lake where a bunch of us transplanted WNY-ers watch the Bills/Sabres. As soon as I walked in, they were showing the reply of Breires' OT game-winner. Went back to work and promptly told the supervisor I was taking Thursday off.
Its going to be hot tomorrow so Im going to a six of Labatts, lay out on my rooftop pool for a awhile, connect to WGR streaming online, and get psyched for the game.
On an unrelated subject, I just noticed that was my 500th post.

Also, one of the actors in this episode actually was the original voice of Boba Fett in Empire. When the trilogy came out on DVD, Lucas replaced his voice with that of the actor who played Jango Fett, since Boba is a clone of Jango.

Is it me or does half of the ESPN NFL front page consist of articles that you have to join their Insider membership to read. One of the reasons I cant stand ESPN anymore, they think their opinions are so important that people will pay to read them.
