  1. You are truly a goof. I never "whined" about helping Ukraine. That is the purest of pure BS. I supported it, and even provided a link to an extremely informed youtube that explained the value of it, which I undeniably support. I doubt you noticed that, because you're not good at noticing stuff. The rest of this is pure manure. Your demands that people label things, Putin as a terrorist/war criminal, which I have, and dropping cluster bombs as a war crime are not going to be responded to by me. I don't work for you. You don't interest me.
  2. Are you really as goofy as you appear? I'll ask for the third time. What is the basis for your "revisionist" claim? It can't be that hard for you to answer. Answer that, and I'll respond, eagerly, to you latest query.
  3. What does your new question have to do with the allegation of revisionist history? What are you suggesting? Answer that and I'll be glad to answer your latest query.
  4. Nothing revisionist about it.
  5. And this posture and policy of deterrence has prevented a cataclysmic WWIII for a very long time. Far longer than it took Europe to get into one between I and II. Doesn't bother me that you don't like it, but it seems to have worked, and there's a generation of soldiers here raising their families and living their lives that are grateful.
  6. More nonsense. We don't like to fight anyone. We are just reluctant to start WWIII with a massive nuclear risk over things that have a less than critical national interest. That makes a lot of sense to me.
  7. She's my choice. In my fantasy world, Trump displays the guts to debate her. She would destroy him and give us a real choice between an invalid and a rude punk whose ideas are not that bad, but has the unique ability to make reasonable people despise him.
  8. Nothing strange about it. I've expressed my support of the Ukraine against Russia many times. No need to post the same crap every day, over and over.......Oh wait.......I'm talking to the wrong guy.
  9. I have zero interest in your judgement of my credibility here. I have had the opportunity to be part of the force that has defended shipping in that part of the world, and I am familiar with what is involved and how both sides operate. I am extremely aware of similar situations in the past, Operation Praying Mantis for one, where the US Navy sunk half the Iranian Navy in half a day, and could have finished the job but was ordered to stand down. I have serious doubts about someone who says that our women are whores, that the loss of two Seals doesn't matter becasue "they shouldn't be there," and makes a lot of other stupid claims like putting US strikes against offensive missiles preparing to launch against defenseless commercial ships ahead of those launces, exactly the opposite of how this whack a mole operation actually happened. By the way, I don't play blind to anything. I simply don't read everything posted here, and am especially not interested in crazy stuff. Still, to the issue of weapons getting to Gaza and Hezbollah, of course they get them. There are many ways to get them through using land routes through Syria. That's why the world sees the occasional strike against these shipments, and why a manufacturing/storage facility in the Sudan was struck a few years ago.
  10. They should be allowed to disrupt international shipping as long as they don't kill anyone? Do you think that they have any level of control over what happens when an anti ship missile with a warhead impacts a commercial, non armored vessel with civilians simply doing their jobs onboard? The rest of the world should tolerate this becasue they suck at it and haven't managed to kill anyone yet? They have been firing missiles and guiding drones at Israel. They have boarded and hijacked a commercial ship in the Red Sea. They have attacked more than two dozen other ships with missiles, drones and speed boats. Does any rational, thinking human being believe this is justified or that they are only attacking weapons shipments to Israel? You've already got the time line wrong. Now you provide some bizarre logic that these actions, by a non-state group of rebels is justified becasue they haven't succeeded in killing anyone, though they have hit commercial ships. Thankfully, not too many nations agree with you.
  11. You have your timeline wrong. No surprise. The US, UK and other members of a large coalition did nothing until this subcontractor, among many, of Iran decided to launch weapons to disrupt and kill non combatants. Gaza blockades are the result of Iranian weapons shipments used to indiscriminately kill Israeli citizens. No government allows that. There is no justification for what the Houthis are doing, and no legitimate "woe is me" argument, anymore than claiming that all our women are whores. You, by the way, are not the first in that culture that I have heard make that preposterous claim.
  12. Simple yes or no question. I've read a number of these posts re Davos. Have you listened to the interviews that have been televised from these folks? I have, and have for years. Not because it's interesting viewing, I'm just a 7:30 to 8:30 CNBC listener for years. Lots of people have posted lots of views on this, and I'm wondering if they ever watch this stuff. Obviously, it seems to me, they haven't, but in the interest of polite conversation, I thought I'd ask.
  13. So the rest of the world should simply stand by and watch Iran supply wacky terrorists so they can fire weapons at legal shipping in international waters? It is OK to disrupt international trade by trying to sink non combatants, and kill the people on them? OK.
  14. Nobody knows what Putin would have done if Trump was pres. We do know what he did with Biden. We also know how this Biden regime abandoned Afghanistan. I believe dealing with Iranian subcontractors active in Yemen would have been different, if only in the immediacy of the response.
  15. Not that it matters, but Mary is revered in Islam. That faith has far more issues.
  16. Not to quibble, but this is has little to do with Boeing, but is indicative of how the uninformed media almost always reports this stuff. It is extremely probable that this is an engine problem. A softball sized hole was found in the top of the engine cowling. Airlines order aircraft from aircraft manufacturers, and engines from separate engine manufacturers; GE, Rolls and Pratt and Whitney, along with a few others. This was a GE engine problem, but has Boeing is being justifiably criticized for poor QA on the door blowout, (another item they didn't manufacture), this Atlas Cargo thing has almost nothing to do with them. Still, that's how these things always get handled by our media.
  17. This is absolute, undeniable nonsense. Just watch. Other than being grossly and obviously infirm, this is Biden's signature failure, along with the shameful and tragic Afghan escape.
  18. Forget the politics. Medicare is a mathematically guaranteed system bound to failure. Fix it or forget it, but don't deny the math. That, by the way, is an apolitical view.
  19. Southern Border for starters. Learning curve is steep if bi lingual.
  20. Regarding MCAS and the issues surrounding it, there is a justifiable reason why it wasn't addressed, specifically. There are classifications of abnormal events that pilots are trained to deal with. Very few are called "immediate action," which means they must be memorized and performed without reference to a checklist. One of them is "runaway stabilizer." That means that if the stabilizer, which is the pitch, (nose up or down), changes rapidly without command, you have to stop it. It is extremely obvious if this happens, and the procedure is to immediately disconnect the stabilizer for auto control. Boeing put MCAS in to handle a near stall situation. But.....The situation of an unnecessary MCAS activation is the exact same as a runaway stabilizer and should be reacted to in the same, memorized manner. Both MCAS crashes were in third world airlines where the pilots did nothing to stop it, and the "fix" is simple and obvious. In the first case, they simply rode the thing into the water. In the second, they initially disconnected the autopilot, which stopped the problem, then for some insane reason reconnected it, resulting in the crash. The odds of that happening in a US or first world trained cockpit are near zero. That aside, the fact that a single sensor could trigger it, especially one on the outside fuselage, is a really bad and since corrected, idea. The philosophies of Boeing and Airbus are a bit different. Airbus marketing strategy involved knowing they would sell to underserved markets, Africa et all, with pilots with little experience. Airbus products default to computer controlled actions. The most famous of this is their Paris Airshow demo where an Airbus did a really low flyby, and the autothrottles determined that they were so low that they were landing. The guy pulled the thing up, but the throttles remained at ide, even when pushed full forward, The ended up plowing through a one forest killing everyone on board. The Air France 447 from Rio to Paris was another of their computer fault failures that am inexperienced copilot never figured out. An iced over pitot tube was telling the system they were overspeeding, when in fact they were too slow and stalled. The captain, who was out of the cockpit at the onset, figured it out, but ran out of time.
  21. A thoughtful, informed post deserves a serious response. Picked up out new pup last night, a fourteen week old Great Pyranees and Golden mix, so I've been a bit busy
  22. First, I am never going to claim you are an idiot. You seem like you are familiar with this stuff, and I am not that kind of guy. But.....there are no problems with the "stability" issues re the 737. The MCAS issue was directly related to Boeing trying to get into the non first world airline base, Airbus made that decision years ago, knowing that to sell to that market, they needed to acknowledge that the people flying their airplanes would be less experienced and far less competent. Ergo, they built in a computer over man priority. MCAS failures would have never resulted in a hull loss if it happened with US or first world trained pilots. Moving to the door blow out on Alaska, it is a QA issue with the fuselage manufacturer and Boeing's inspection process after delivery. Alaska is completely innocent. Back to original point, I am never going to claim people are idiots on this, until they try to make it political. Regards.
  23. The Middle East doesn't need the US to provoke wars. They would be far more successful at that task if left to settle their hate without other participation. None of those nations invaded the US because they don't have that capability. It has nothing to do with desire. Further, an embassy is considered sovereign territory, and those have been bombed and invaded, in Africa and the Middle East, with significant loss of human life, so spare the "morons" here that claim.
  24. Nothing will work on me? Perhaps stop filming beheadings, or wildly optimistic, maybe just stop beheadings. Perhaps stop slaughtering people of other faiths. Maybe don't steal airliners and fly them into buildings. Let commerce exist in international waters. Stop launching unguided missiles into civilian areas. Stop starting wars and then go to useless international arenas begging to get them stopped while your getting your ass kicked, all the while complaining that you're not getting the coverage you think you deserve. Stop treating half the world's population as second class citizens becasue of gender. All that would be a start.
  25. I strongly disagree with the "you are programmed" assertion. All that aside, you post a lot of really vituperative stuff here, and that tactic doesn't work. It may allow you a chance to vent, but it is ineffective. Here's what you posted on page 163 of this thread: "Your kids are lost. They don’t know what a boy or a girl is anymore. Your schools and churches aren’t safe. You love your guns like they’re part of the family. You can’t stay married. Your women are whores. You all cheat on each other." You have also questioned if you are "surrounded by morons" here. You think that will work? Meanwhile Hamas has controlled Gaza for years, using all of their assets to build an underground system that does nothing but support it's desire to destroy Israel. Hezbollah has done the exact same thing, except on a much bigger and more dangerous scale. It causes me wo consider your claims and wonder who the real morons are?
