I have no issue with Israel having them. I am aware of when they achieved that capability and aware of the restraint since then. Israel was attacked on the first day of its existence by a multi nation consortium. They have been threatened and attacked ever since. They are not going to be eliminated without massive response. That is the reality and I have no problem with that posture. On the other hand, I have serious concerns about a lunatic regime that does little other than export death and terror. I wish the majority of sane people there would get rid of their scourge, but the don't seem willing. Additionally, there seems to be pretty good evidence that the rogue group with significant weapon access, the IRGC, is somewhat uncontrolled. This is going to get hotter. The Biden admin should authorize the US Navy to sink the Iranian ship that is providing targeting information, and they should sink it yesterday. Daily defending against attacks on shipping is a foolish posture, and further encourages them.

I have no emotion. This is a repeated fallacy that you continuously claim. BS now. BS always. Of of your nonsense claims, and back to the issue, Iran never stopped developing their nuclear capability and they never will as long as the current theocratic lunatics are in place. Moving the date of this confrontation, however that occurs, is not really that meaningful. The Obama/Kerry JCPOA might have changed the date, but it delivered inevitability, which may have been less desirable. Something is going to happen with them, and it doesn't matter who is in power in the US executive. They are sworn to it, believe it to be determined by their god, and their god given mission, and are tracking in that direction. They are either overthrown internally, or engaged externally, but the path is clear, and not pleasant.
-
You are quite incorrect. I am very familiar with the Samson option, to a degree of what I think they actually possess, and their reluctance to use it, although they were a day away from moving in that direction under Golda Meir. So.....You're wrong.
-
Yep. I am absolutely OK with Israel having them, as I am with the US. A regime which routinely promises to rid the world of the nation of Israel is a different story. A nation that has a main square in it's capitol that has a countdown clock to mark the end of Israel. A nation run by wacky religious nuts who treat one gender as inferior, to the point of executing them for clothing is, in my mind, not one that I hope had the ability to deliver a nuclear warhead to it's avowed enemy, who isn't bothering it at all. No problem with Israel having them at all. No problem with Israel brilliantly taking out Iraqi and Syrian nuc facilities. You do this stupid nonsense of claiming that people are angry or emotional. You don't have that capability to effect that with anyone, certainly not me. Further, I disagree with you immensely on this issue.

Yes. I have proof that I keep in my basement. The Iranian nuclear program was unable to hide their nuclear program from me. Seriously, there are intel sources I trust way more than political hacks in the US. Israel has far better capability in that area than we do, and they determined the program was ongoing. Further, this so called JCPOA was negotiated by John Kerry, who has loves the camera far more than he likes deals that are actually effective. He's another Dem wind bag who has publicity interests that outweigh his patriotism, and it's been that way since his Viet Nam service. The JCPOA guaranteed that Iran would develop a nuclear weapon over time. Clearly, Trump doing what he did removed speed bumps in that process, but they are NEVER going to abandon their nuc weapon program. They can be stopped, but it involves a lot of kinetic energy that is unpleasant. That's the reality.
-
No. They never stopped. They were able to hide it a bit better, but they never stopped. Very similar to the "Agreed Framework," with North Korea, negotiated by Carter without advice from the Clinton Administration. North Korea didn't stop, and Iran didn't either.

If they play in Sao Paulo, it's one hour ahead of US eastern. When US eastern goes to daylight savings, it's two hours ahead. I spent countless Sundays there before retiring, and it was surprisingly difficult to find a place with live TV coverage of the NFL. I would simply use game tracker on my laptop. For anyone who hasn't been there, Sao Paulo is an absolutely massive city. The biggest I've ever seen. You never see a "Z" used in the spelling when there. I once shared an elevator in our hotel with four members of their national junior women's volleyball team. I wanted the elevator to break down. It didn't, but it was still a life altering experience I'll never forget. Linda de morrer.

More idiocy. Devoid of any understanding of the issue. No surprise

That is tactically difficult, but something they have planned for for years, as they have viewed any Iranian nuclear capability as unacceptable.

Sheila Jackson Lee with a powerful message about the moon
sherpa replied to SCBills's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
She's a planetary wizard. Remember when she asked a NASA rep at a hearing if "we could drive the Mars rover over to where Neil Armstrong planted the flag?" Not quite a scary as the "sink Guam" guy, but we have real folks of genius controlling our country. Of course Biden has travelled to these planets by train. -
I think you are crazy. Islam and it's political effects in the region have been a disaster to not only women, but entire populations. The desire to eliminate Israel will not end well for these failed regimes, but our men and whores will witness it.
-
I left out the truck bombing of the Marine Barracks is Lebanon in 1983. Killed 283 US Marines. Hezbollah. Caspar Weinberger said it was an Iranian operation from top to bottom.
-
Ya. I'm completely oblivious. I haven't seen this, in some cases, first hand. OK. You, on the other hand are the voice of reason. Judging people you have no idea about. Proclamations that our women are whores, that we all cheat on each other and the Israelis planned and executed the Oct 7 murders. Those claims mark you as someone who should be paid attention to. Perhaps.......But certainly not by me or any other sane person.

These didn't happen? It isn't what I "said." It's what they have done, without doubt. Remember the skirmish is the Persian Gulf after they fired on US Navy ships and planes, which was after they mined the Gulf, and well after they seized the embassy and grabbed a bunch of hostages, but well before they sponsored insurgencies and trained and equipped surrogates in Gaza, Southern Lebanon, Syria and Yemin? You know, the folks that are firing unguided missiles into civilian populations in Israel on a daily basis. The regime whose stated goal is to eliminate Israel? The one who executes woman for not dressing appropriately? I have plenty of interests. You are not one of them, and I do just fine without your idiotic suggestions.
-
You stated that Israel starts these things. Really? Six Day War. Yom Kippur. Oct 7. Attacking the US Embassy and taking hostages? Laying mines in the Persian Gulf to disrupt international trade and eventually mining a US combatant? Supporting insurgencies in Iraq, Afghanistan and Syria, resulting in US deaths? Firing at Us ships and airplanes in the Persian Gulf? Provacotive naval actions against US Navy vessels? Training and arming surrogates to wage war against Israel from Gaza, Lebanon and Yemen? Without a doubt, the stupidest stuff that gets posted here is when someone posts what he guesses someone else thinks. Only a few people do it, but it's always ignorant.

Well, I had the opportunity to respond directly in 1979, the year I mentioned, and I've followed the Iranian exportation of murder since, so I really don't give a rat's about your judgement of whether it deserves a reply. Not in the least.
-
History would suggest this is a uniquely unsupported claim.
-
There isn't an individual with a functioning brain cell that wouldn't acknowledge that Iran has been attacking the US since 1979.

What sports teams have you ever had season tickets for?

Not worthy of response.

Actually no. I thought retirement was going to provide more free time, but if you are engaged, you find things that make you far more busy than ever expected. At present, as Treasurer of our local volunteer fire department, I am applying for a federal grant from the gov. An unbelievable experience, and we won't be successful, but the experience is one more item in my bag seeing how grossly mismanaged the gov that we pay for is. Still....We do what we do.
-
I never said I was going to ignore you, and the rest of your stupid, personal accusations are of typical ignorance. I said I wasn't going to respond to you. When someone accuses someone of murder without any evidence, any knowledge, any information or any insight, don't be surprised when that is called into question. The same when you suggested we base a couple squadrons of fighters in the Ukraine as a deterrent, without any support, any infrastructure or anything even remotely sane to justify such idiocy, or when you single handedly butcher a very well known Bible story, getting every single sentence wrong Expect to have lunacy pointed out. If you can't take that, don't write such nonsense. I have no interest in responding to your specific questions addressing me. I will respond when you make idiotic accusations. Juvenile posts intentionally playing with people's names, though I think most people here see the pre-adolescent attempts as stupid are not worth it, so no need to respond.
-
I'm quite sure they struck what they thought was a threat. Same as the US strike on an aid worker in Kabul in Aug of 2021, killing him and nine members of his family. I didn't see anyone Biden of "murder" when that happened. Iran has been responsible for the deaths of countless Palestinians, How long they put up with that is the greater question.
-
I'll wait for the investigation. Pardon me if I have no interest in message board analysis from either you or that other guy. But..... As a simple matter, and as a guy who knows about air strikes, if you are intentionally trying to kill a very small group in a very confined area, you sure as hell don't need three airstrikes. You don't even need one. There are other "plausibly deniable" actions that are far more simple.

Ordinarily, I might react to this, but coming from you, that aint gonna happen. I am pleased that your completed, validated, detailed investigation of this tragedy has led you to, yet another, well formed conclusion.
