I have no interest in responding to this nonsense. Simply absurd. You ever been to Venezuela under Chavez or Maduro? Trump, or any other US political candidate in my lifetime is nothing like either of those. Still, attempts at changing the judicial is an eyebrow raiser. That's exactly what Chavez did.

You don't think Carter's Operation Eagle Claw was playing games for personal game? You will find great disagreement on that from the military if that is your view.

He grew up to be a copilot om the Asiana 777 that crashed in San Francisco. Tragic accident, but one of the funniest intern stunts.

We won! I really love this gymnastics team.

I don't know, and I really don't care. The bill was a pos. Biden had/has many options at his disposal to moderate this insanity, and has chosen not to. People who support him never admit this. Never even acknowledge it. Afghanistan and the border have been disasters, and those were completely in his control. Trump clearly influenced the border vote, but it was a bad piece of legislation to start with. Afghanistan is enough to get him shamed. Simply disgraceful.

I've certainly read it enough to know what was in it, especially the under 18 group. Unvetted. Know how these people work? Know what happens when you get any member of a family in? Ever watched it? Realize that this is pure business, not some humanitarian operation, and these people are not screwing around. If you don't, you're either deceitful or ignorant of the situation I also know that it was overwhelmingly opposed by republicans, so to claim that it was truly non partisan is bs.

This stuff gets repeated here day after day. If the "border deal" was truly bipartisan, it would have been approved. The Legislative Branch of our gov defeated the border deal, which also included 118 billion in foreign aid to Ukraine, Israel and Taiwan. To state that it was a clean bill, or went far enough to truly secure our border is ridiculous. 275,000 crossed in Dec. The "border bill" proposed asylum for scores of people without vetting. I often wonder if anyone actually reads this stuff, or simply do not care about what is posted in this forum.

No, it isn't a funding issue. It is a political appointee management issue. They choose to spend that gov budget on other things. They don't pay competitive with others hiring that profession, so they get second/third tier people. I don't know a single ex military pilot who chose them over other opportunities. They cannot staff their controller force adequately, and they have serious morale problems there because of quota preferences. Regarding increasing tax revenue and spending cuts, if you are 34 trillion in debt, you might want to address that. On Trump, a major part of your post that I did not include, I have never supported him, so it's not my issue.

Just stupid. I am very familiar with the FAA and its performance as a 727/757/767 and 777 captain and check airman for a major airline. They don't pay enough to get me to work for them, though I'm very aware of their performance for decades. Regarding deficits, remember Bush 1 and his "no new taxes quote?" He was promised that any new taxes would be matched by spending cuts. They lied. That was the last straw that moved me away from the Democratic party. Nothing matters to them except votes. It extends to Democratic Congress, who attempted to revoke responsibility for overwhelmingly approving Iraq war 2, by claiming that the Bush Admin misled them, and specifically Pelosi who trashed the CIA after denying she knew about advanced interrogation techniques. She lied. At some point, any rational human gets tired of this horseshit. Harris is a living, breathing potential disaster. Simply a goof.

The problem with the FAA isn't funding. It is performance when funding is used to advance stupid DEI crap quota hiring, and it isn't my "imagination." It is reality. The staffing numbers were not cut after 2020, and the demand has not significantly increased. Stupid policy from this Trans Sec as part of this administration. They have plenty of people to effectively do their job. They just don't do it because they have decided to focus energy on other things. You were not focusing on economic activity. You asserted that tax revenue is the issue. I asserted that it is not, instead that spending on senseless political crap is, and the FAA is a poster for this.

I'm not certain the populace is that ignorant. A whopping % didn't want those two to run. The issue that becoming more apparent is the two party primary path. It doesn't seem responsive to what is actually desired. On the Republican side, we have a guy who folks don't want, but has just enough support to beat a bevy of others. On the Dem side, the primary approach has become completely nugatory, so we have installed candidate who nobody voted for.

Her view of Israel and what they should be doing is as absurd as her views on tax. The woman is a proven failure. Has accomplished nothing and the faster we no longer have to listen to her nonsense, as ill delivered as it is, the better. Significance of the passage of time. Little yellow school buses. Unencumbered by what has been. Tax policy. Immigration policy/performance. Simply a left wing nut.

Check the US revenue numbers. It is spending that is out of order. Foolish, stupid, unjustified, idiotic, politically motivated, non productive spending. Dig into spending bills since the pandemic. See what's in those. Then justify coming after the citizens with the justification for higher tax rates.
-
Pure crazy. Check revenue numbers against spending totals. The issue is not now, and has never been tax revenue. Just servicing the debt now exceeds defense spending, and it isn't getting better. We have been fortunate that the dollar strength has bolstered our ability to sell debt, That isn't a problem until it is a problem, and that massive need effects interest rates. My point on DEI considerations re the FAA under Buttigieg is not speculation or opinion. It is foolishly managed reality. They failed, and blaming their failure on lack of resources is a senseless deflection. They failed because they failed, and it is every bit on them as much as Boeing.
-
Nonsense. We are in debt because of spending. Revenue is not the issue. Regarding Boeing and the FAA, I am extremely familiar with that issue, specifically the 737 max with the MCAS system, as well as the FAA approved and certified training programs addressing that. Boeing didn't refuse them, they simply failed. I am also aware that they can't staff controller positions, and their blatant attempt to hire based om DEI rather than pure ability. That is their stated goal, and they waste effort on goofy ass nonsense rather than better performance.
-
The FAA was responsible for approving the Boeing operation, including certification and training. It's not like they were kicked out. The FAA is poorly led by appointees. As for the rest of this post, the gov is 34 trillion in debt That is $103,000+ per citizen, $267,000+ per taxpayer. What would happen to any corporation that achieved that performance?

And he's a vice president nominee. Nobody, ever, has run for president with less experience than the San Francisco Democrat that the Dems have nominated. "Russia is a big country in Europe." "I have never been to the border. I have never been to Europe." Choose another topic, 'cause this one aint a winner. -
I'm quite sure she is despised by ICE, whom she suggested was viewed as the KKK. I'm quite sure she is despised by law enforcement. I'm quite sure she is viewed with tremendous skepticism by the military. I received a message from God. He said, "I gave you Washington, Jefferson, Madison and Monroe to get you started." "I gave you Lincoln to help you mid course when you needed help with the slavery issue." "It's payback time."
