  1. Locker has the worst offensive line in the league and has a weak receiving corps. He's not as bad as the rest of the bunch. If he were on Cincinnati, he might be as good as Dalton
  2. Well, looks like the answer is the Colin Brown to IR/Reggie Wells signing.
  3. Glenn, Brown and Urbik are definitely out next week. Rinehart played with an injury, and likely won't be fully healed for the Arizona game. Even if Rinehart is healthy, he won't be fully recovered and is a risk for more serious injury if he plays Sunday. Given the fact that Chan thinks Fred is healthy enough to play (he isn't, in my opinion), and gave White/Choice zero carries last week, it's clear that we have more RBs on the roster than necessary. I think the team cuts White and signs an interior lineman until we have some players recover. Any other ideas as to what the team might do for this weekend's game?
  4. If Denver's coach decided that Von Miller should spend half of his time in coverage, he'd get a lot of criticism. I don't think Moats should be starting, but he clearly is incompetent in coverage and the team should recognize that.
  5. I'd have to imagine that, if Rex is fired- which I think is unlikely-, he'll have an opportunity somewhere like Philadelphia, Dallas, or Chicago. I don't see all three of those teams finishing the year successfully, and one of their HCs will probably be fired.
  6. I think that most of the board is in agreement that Wilson hasn't looked like an NFL starter this year. It's been announced that Moats is likely being benched for Bradham (and Bradham played twice as many snaps against San Francisco); I haven't seen the safety snap counts for last week, or, frankly, have an idea as to how Searcy has been while he's on the field. Does anyone think Wilson gets pulled for Searcy next week, or will the team wait a few more weeks before making a change? I believe that Wilson got a pass for his poor coverage/tackling last year because of the number of turnovers he was able to generate, and it is true that he has relatively good catching skills. With the amount of nickel we run, though, I would imagine bringing in someone with better tackling/blitz skills at the SS spot would be a good idea, though I do think Searcy is also a bit small for the position.
  7. I don't think Fitz or Tarvaris will win us games, but, if anything, Fitz is a better fit.
  8. The Skins have been weak on D this year.
  9. I mean that mostly in the sense that he wouldn't want to coach at his age. I believe he's said that in interviews when asked if he'd take a HC job.
  10. Dick LeBeau is too old to be a head coach. He's not leaving his current job.
  11. Again, I don't think the team will win with Fitz at QB. I just want to make a point for the people who were insisting that we draft Wilson. Will Wilson be an adequate starting QB? Possibly. It's also possible that he ends up better than Fitz, but I don't see him ever being above-average.
  12. With Tate, Rice, and Miller, the team does have talent at receiving positions. Edwards doesn't get many targets for Seattle.
  13. Things can change, obviously, but when you have certain physical limitations, you're not going to be an elite quarterback in the NFL.
  14. While Wilson is starting at QB for Seattle, it's fairly evident that he will never be an elite QB. To those of you who keep complaining that we didn't draft him: Graham has been very solid with his targets, struggling mainly with balls thrown far out of his reach. I don't think Fitz will win us games, but Wilson's limitations due to his height, combined with other problems in his game, mean that he will be a bottom 10 QB in the league. Is it impressive that he is starting as a rookie over a big-budget free agent signing in Flynn? Yes, but that doesn't mean that Wilson has what it takes to lead a team in a deep playoff run. I do lament the fact that we picked Dalton over Williams, though, especially given the fact that we hadn't made such a commitment to Fitzpatrick at that time. Please read the date of this post and then read through the thread. Quit replying to something that was said months ago and catch up with what is currently being said (thanks, Beerball)
  15. If Jackson can't produce in the next few games, I think it'll be clear that he's done. At that point, you cut him and pick up a youngish RB like Torain or Hightower.
  16. Our pass rush works best when Sheppard and Moats are a threat to blitz. The past week's gameplan completely removed that element.
  17. Williams also has 5 QB hits, tied for third in the league.
  18. Tackles for loss: Williams 5 (tied for 8th in the league) Edwards 3 (tied for 37th) Dareus 2 (tied for 75th)
  19. Are you forgetting the fact that we put up 28 points largely because of the great field position we got from Patriots turnovers? If you cancel out the times we and they turned over the ball, we still lose that game. We couldn't run the ball, and in a close game we'd have failed to convert tons of third and short if you pretend that turnovers don't exist. Correct. Fumbles are far worse than INTs.
  20. We'll win five of these games. We need to go 2-3 in the upcoming stretch to have a shot at the playoffs, and make sure we have a very strong conference record. My guess is our competition for the wild card spots/contested divisions, will be San Diego, Denver, Pittsburgh, Cincy, and Baltimore. That loss really hurt; I think Baltimore and Cincy are locks, so let's hope San Diego and Pitt falter
  21. Why didn't they just play Choice?
  22. Correct. It's idiotic how people assume we'll win 6 or 7 of the last 7 games without question. We need to win at least two of the next six, and even that likely will not be good enough if we don't get three or four division wins.
  23. ESPN has him 4th in the overall rookie rankings.
