  1. How do you know that? You don't.
  2. Byrd is more likely to walk if he's not franchised.
  3. Payton was a workhorse- which is a massive feat in itself- but on a game-by-game basis, he wasn't as good as these three. If you had to pick one of these guys in their prime for a season or a game, Payton would be 4th. Edit: Sayers was the opposite of Payton- explosive during a short career, while Payton was consistent over a number of years. Barry had sustained excellence, which is why was, by far, the best back of all time.
  4. The only solution to this thread: draft Barry Sanders Jr. when he declares.
  5. He went 7-5 in 2002 and 13-1 in 2003. Not to disparage Dysert, but Roethlisberger was more of a winner in college.
  6. I will say this: watch Max Wittek in the Sun Bowl, assuming Barkley doesn't play. He is the best QB of that class.
  7. I hate to say it, but I would not be surprised to see another Ben Roethlisberger/J.P. Losman situation happen.
  8. How many teams do you think will draft a QB? K.C., Oakland, the Jets, Cardinals, Bills, and maybe the Jags. I can see Smith going #1 to K.C., then Glennon and Wilson going top 10 to Buffalo, Arizona, or the Jets. I see Barkley and Jones being drafted at the end of the first round, probably by teams trading back into the first.
  9. Tampa and Denver aren't much better, if at all, than Buffalo at tight end. That being said, we absolutely should grab an athletic receiving T.E. when possible.
  10. Reshad Jones made a spectacular pick that should have merely been an incompletion. Bills fans excuse George Wilson for not making the play on two easy picks, claiming that the fact that he interrupted the play was good enough.
  11. I'm curious about your signature: why do you think Alec Ogletree is a fourth round pick?
  12. Antonio Gates is done. Nor does he make sense for a team that can't "win now." We will probably draft a receiving tight end; the question is when?
  13. We've played NFC teams in Toronto over the past three years. Taking away an AFC game, particularly a division game, is brutal. We'll play the Falcons or Panthers in Toronto.
  14. http://espn.go.com/nfl/statistics/player/_/stat/rushing/sort/rushingYards/year/2012/seasontype/2 CJ, with 2/3 of the carries, has done more in practically every category than Lynch on a per carry basis. Lynch is certainly better than CJ at certain aspects of the game, such as goal line or third and short situations, but that doesn't make him an appreciably better back.
  15. How are people ignoring DE? We have no one consistent, outside of Mario, at the position. I would love a guy like Bjoern Werner, or Sheldon Richardson, who can play DE in rushing situations and DT in passing situations. We'd have a great three-man rotation with Richardson.
  16. According to Schefter, he has a torn ACL. http://www.sbnation.com/nfl/2012/12/24/3801250/scott-chandler-injury-bills Chandler will probably be out until, at least, week 10 of next season.
  17. Fitz would get Kyle Orton money as a backup.
  18. Do you know anything about Jarvis Jones? A) he'll probably be drafted by a 3-4 team, and B) he has a degenerative spinal condition that will probably drop him to a team that can afford to take risks in the draft.
  19. We do not have solid CBs.
  20. Peterson is in his own category. CJ is as good as Marshawn, Charles, and a healthy McCoy. Arian Foster is tremendously overrated.
  21. The Saints will be next year's Chargers. I have no comment on the schedule itself.
  22. Why on Earth would Dimitroff leave his current position for that? As for Bill Polian, I'd expect any organization that considers hiring him will ensure that Chris Polian has no involvement with the organization.
  23. Is that a serious question?
  24. Jones has a degenerative spinal condition.
  25. Jim did not. John was a coach for a few years in Philly. Edit: As SOBF says, Jim was the QB coach for a year in Oakland.
