  1. Again, you clearly have failed to understand the difference between cap hit and potential cap savings. As for the NYJ, I'm referring to the website that was linked in the thread called "nyjetscap.com," which you referenced yourself. I'm so shocked that went over your head.
  2. If you add in what would be a smart move by either doing a major restructure to Fitz contract or cutting him all together they would save what i think i heard to be another 10.45 in cap space . You wrote the above. There is NOTHING in either source of information (your uncited James Walker blog post, which says we can save $4.45 million) or the "nyjetscap" site, which says potential savings are only $450,000, to indicate that we can save "what (you) think (you) heard to be another 10.45 in cap space." Are you really that dense?
  3. Quite clearly, you've failed to recognize the difference between a cap hit for a player on a roster and cap savings if a player is cut. This is not difficult to comprehend.
  4. FYI- the "nyjetscap" website shows that the cap savings would only be $450,000 if we cut Fitz. Evidently you don't understand the difference between cap value and cap savings. I can't say I'm surprised. Neither source of information indicates that we could cut $10.45 million from the cap by cutting Fitzpatrick, which is what you claim in your original post.
  5. "ESPN.com's AFC East blog has learned Buffalo will save $4.45 million in cap space and $7.45 million in actual cash by cutting Fitzpatrick this offseason. Fitzpatrick is due a base salary of $4.25 million and an easy-to-obtain workout bonus of $200,000 in 2013." The above shows that we will NOT save $10.45 million from the cap. You yourself posted that we will save $4.45 million if we cut Fitz, thanks to the AFC East blog. Do you lack basic reading comprehension skills? As for the "nyjetscap" site, there is zero credibility to that website. James Walker is a questionable "writer," but he has some standards as an ESPN blogger.
  6. Why don't you confirm your facts before posting nonsense? That's something of a rhetorical question, but take the time to do basic research before posting b.s.
  7. "Marrone wanted Buffalo as much as Buffalo wanted him," says Schefter, who called Marrone the "most in-demand college coach out there" with Chip Kelly on the fence. "In recent weeks, Marrone had done comprehensive film studies of each team he would be interviewing with - the Cleveland Browns,Philadelphia Eagles, Chargers and Bills - and each game they had played this past year," Schefter continued. "He believed Buffalo had more talent than any of those other teams. It factored into his final decision, as did his relationship with the new head man of the Bills organization, Russ Brandon, who has served on the advisory board for sports management at - where else - Syracuse."
  8. I watch a ton of football. He has a number of problems that aren't evident in college tape from successful NFL QBs.
  9. And me. The point is, the guy simply doesn't look like a first round pick.
  10. Nassib looks like a decent mid-round prospect. I wouldn't touch him in the first round. Even the casual observer can see the massive flaws in his game.
  11. Dareus was great over the last six games or so.
  12. That's a different Brandon Moore, a linebacker.
  13. What? Moore is awful. He's also 32 years old.
  14. For all you know, he could have been born in Riverdale.
  15. I'm guessing he interviewed with them to increase the price for the Bills, just like Kelly's interview with us.
  16. I'm disappointed, but let's see.. Year Team Overall Conference Standing Bowl/playoffs Coaches# AP°Syracuse Orange (Big East Conference) (2009–present)
  17. By that time, if it happens, Buffalo will likely have a H.C.
  18. This thread is literally pointless, given the fact that Mularkey has a HC position.
  19. In the early rounds: OT, DT, CB, maybe DE
  20. This has been posted, but I'm not sure if the relevant thread is closed. http://espn.go.com/chicago/nfl/story/_/id/8809007/lovie-smith-formerly-chicago-bears-interview-buffalo-bills-source-says
  21. Jones is a rush OLB with a degenerative spinal condition. He will probably go to a team with a QB in place that can win now. That being said, there are a number of 4-3 guys whom we can probably draft for value. He may be an ILB, but I think Alec Ogletree is the best linebacker in this draft.
  22. That's ironic.
  23. I agree with this. If we can get one of the two top OTs, it'd be a great pick. Look how bad Rivers was this season, or Vick, with declining offensive lines. A second-round QB would be helped immensely if we keep building the line to protect him. That's very kind of you. Jones will go to a team that can win now (read: has a QB), rather than one that has to build for the future. If he is a top ten pick, it will be like Atlanta's grab of Julio Jones. I can see a team like Pittsburgh or Chicago trading up for him before the wheels fall off and they have to rebuild.
