There is NOTHING in either source of information (your uncited James Walker blog post, which says we can save $4.45 million) or the "nyjetscap" site, which says potential savings are only $450,000, to indicate that we can save "what (you) think (you) heard to be another 10.45 in cap space." Are you really that dense?

Quite clearly, you've failed to recognize the difference between a cap hit for a player on a roster and cap savings if a player is cut. This is not difficult to comprehend.

I can't say I'm surprised. Neither source of information indicates that we could cut $10.45 million from the cap by cutting Fitzpatrick, which is what you claim in your original post.

Jones is a rush OLB with a degenerative spinal condition. He will probably go to a team with a QB in place that can win now. That being said, there are a number of 4-3 guys whom we can probably draft for value. He may be an ILB, but I think Alec Ogletree is the best linebacker in this draft.

I agree with this. If we can get one of the two top OTs, it'd be a great pick. Look how bad Rivers was this season, or Vick, with declining offensive lines. A second-round QB would be helped immensely if we keep building the line to protect him. That's very kind of you. Jones will go to a team that can win now (read: has a QB), rather than one that has to build for the future. If he is a top ten pick, it will be like Atlanta's grab of Julio Jones. I can see a team like Pittsburgh or Chicago trading up for him before the wheels fall off and they have to rebuild.
