  1. Kruger to Browns
  2. It's completely disingenuous to make a topic called "Levitre is not coming back" based off a post titled, "Levitre return unlikely."
  3. This has probably been posted, but the matter's been referred to league security: http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2013/03/12/bills-bucs-refer-matter-of-intercepted-phone-call-to-nfl-security/
  4. There is no evidence that PFC is a reliable site whatsoever.
  5. From a football perspective, this is, by far, the most serious issue resulting from the leaked call. Edit: It's also very interesting to hear what Dominik thinks of Freeman. That can't be good for their team.
  6. He missed three games in his first two years, actually. That's not the same as "never healthy," but it's not true that "he didn't miss any games."
  7. Mnnesota would never make that deal.
  8. Sproles is a fascinating player- he's had more receiving than rushing yards in the past three seasons. He's a poor man's Percy Harvin of sorts, except primarily lines up in the backfield.
  9. If the Mike Wallace to Miami rumors aren't true (reports are that it is a done deal), it would be very interesting to see Mike Wallace sign in Minnesota and succeed.
  10. He's also an excellent returner, but I agree that his receiving production has been very mediocre. He is also overrated as a deep threat, averaging 11.8 y/c for his career. http://espn.go.com/nfl/statistics/player/_/stat/receiving/sort/yardsPerReception That's very poor considering how many 1,000 yard-receivers averaged significantly more per catch. Look at Vincent Jackson's numbers (1,384 yards, 8 TDs, 19.2 yards per catch).
  11. I personally feel that Minnesota won this trade. Harvin wants a great deal of money, and a first round pick is quite a bit to give up, as young and productive as he's been, for a player who's something of a head case. We'll see.
  12. My understanding of Pettine's D is that the OLBs have to be able to stop the run. A good deal of the pass rush comes from a DE (Coples, our Mario Williams) unlike San Francisco's 3-4, where Aldon Smith's job is pretty much to exclusively rush the passer. I have a feeling that we won't have a "Joker" linebacker and will rely on multiple fronts/multiple roles for our OLBs and DEs. I just don't think Dumervil fits what Pettine is looking for.
  13. Assuming we run a 3-4 hybrid, a 6'0, 260 pound pass rusher is far too small to play D.E. There's a reason guys like Freeney and Dumervil can only play 3-4 rush linebacker or 4-3 blind side D.E.
  14. Right, because both players' signing bonuses/dead money would allow such a deal to happen.
  15. Spikes had a poor year last year.
  16. Dumervil is far too small to play DE in our scheme. I agree. He's a one-trick pony. Dumervil only makes sense if his sole job is to rush the passer, which it wouldn't be at either DE or OLB in Pettine's scheme, unless you want to use him as a pass-rushing down specialist.
  17. That's a great deal for the Giants. Their deal with Chris Canty is a prime example of how to mess up free agency, in contrast.
  18. Fred never had more than 237 carries in a season. I don't think he comes close to qualifying as a "workhorse," but rather a "prototype" (not perfect) RB.
  19. I agree with your initial sentiment regarding the quality of our previous, or any NFL, coaching staffs. That being said, McKelvin is certainly a fine NFL player, with excellent kick return skills and average CB skills. He doesn't get interceptions or deflections like "star CBs," but he's not a horrible CB against average receivers (though he tends to get smoked by big, skilled WRs). He certainly is worth 7.5m guaranteed over four years for his return skills alone.
  20. I'm curious as to how Fixxxer gave an above-average rating to our SS and depth.
  21. To be fair, it says "think," not "thinks," though a question mark would improve the clarity of the topic.
  22. It's a rumor thread, and therefore appropriate. The previous thread attempted to pass off Incarcerated Bob as being a legitimate source in the mold of Schefter, La Canfora, Florio, etc.
  23. Work on that reading comprehension. He was referring to Antonio Cromartie.
  24. I understand it's a rumor; I'm just saying that the terms of the deal/Buffalo's cap circumstances make it a very implausible rumor.
