  1. Did you play Madden 13? The game is enjoyable, and the running game is particularly improved, but there are many flaws from previous versions that haven't been fixed. The dev. team is small and makes minimal improvements annually; hopefully there is a sea change with next-gen. Either way, I still play and enjoy it, but know the game should be leaps and bounds better.
  2. https://docs.google.com/file/d/0B3UtEYGaz83gY3VyMmVQcjJiXzg/edit?pli=1 These are the base ratings. Overall ratings vary depending on your scheme.
  3. Uhh, they won't? He'd get picked up on waivers. The Giants would have then wasted a mid-round draft pick.Where do people come up with this stuff?
  4. C.J. Spiller- 1500 yards rushing UNDER E.J. Manuel- 20 touchdown passes UNDER Robert Woods- 60 receptions UNDER KIko Alonso- 110 tackles UNDER Mario Williams- 11 sacks OVER Leodis McKelvin- 20 plays where he looks in position on a play and then the pass is still completed OVER Stevie Johnson- 2 fines for inappropriate touchdown celebrations UNDER Dustin Hopkins- 3 kickoffs out of bounds UNDER Matt Leinart- dresses for 3 games UNDER This last one isn't exactly a stat, but I thought I'd throw it in: Wins- 7 UNDER
  5. How long does a player have to be on the roster to count for comp. picks? If we cut, say, Branch, when do we have to do it by to get "credit"?
  6. Amazon has a deal with the new Madden 25 and Sunday Ticket (including the online version, no DirectTV required) for $100 bucks. Great deal if you plan on getting both.
  7. This infuriates me, too, more than anything else I've seen from the team. Why isn't the media hounding management for this?
  8. Griffin was recently arrested for DWI. If he is deemed competent by the Bills, he still faces suspension from the NFL.
  9. Byrd's trade value is shot. He can't be extended if traded. He's going to be with us for 1-2 more years then walk, unless a miracle happens and he decides to stay in Buffalo.
  10. The article is confusing, but the link actually states that scouts believe Moore is stronger-armed than he was last season, not that Moore is stronger-armed than Lewis is. http://www.freep.com/article/20130824/SPORTS01/308240051/1049/sports01
  11. Bad start, good mid-season, decent finish. I expect the team to have stretches of going 2-4, 3-2, and and 2-3 as the team starts to gel.
  12. You're right, actually- Spiller has 19 carries for the preseason, and there are several other entrenched starters with more carries, such as Ray Rice and Chris Johnson. That being said, they've been over-reliant on him, and using him on the goal line was a bad idea; putting him back in the game after injury was even worse. http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/stats/playersort/NFL/RYDS/2013/pre?&_1:col_1=7
  13. Yeah, I think Williams might not be a great fit with the scheme. He's also not the same player he was years ago before his injuries. Hopefully we're wrong.
  14. How much less could you care?
  15. Based off of his second sentence, it wasn't. I expect us to sign some linemen and a C.B. from other teams' cuts that will see significant playing time.
  16. This is a ridiculous statement.
  17. If Byrd is traded, can other teams sign him to an extension this season?
  18. Who else thinks we'll sign Graham Harrell, at least for the rest of pre-season, if Kolb is out?
  19. Brilliant job using Spiller as a workhorse in the preseason. I hope he'll be ok.
  20. The "step-grandfather" could also be his father, or mother's, step-father.
  21. Houston, I think, isn't that good. Schaub is beaten up, the defense has some significantly masked weak points, and Arian Foster/Andre Johnson have taken a great deal of wear and tear. They are a playoff team, but Denver is the class of a very weak conference. My playoff picks: AFC East: New England AFC North: Cincinnati AFC South: Houston AFC West: Denver Wild cards: Baltimore, Miami
  22. Does the 2010 draft class look better now than it did in 2012? Yes. Was it a good draft class? As of now, the answer is still no, and that won't change unless Moats, Easley, or Troup become solid players. http://www.sbnation.com/nfl/2013/2/15/3985590/nfl-draft-ranking-the-best-and-worst-draft-classes-of-2010 Our 2010 draft class is not better than sixteen of those draft classes.
  23. Going by the simplest metric for success in the N.F.L.- the quality of one's quarterback- I think Marrone is more likely to have success in the league. Vick doesn't cut it, and I don't see enough in Barkley or Foles. I'm not saying E.J. is a guaranteed success, but I think he is more likely to be a winner than anyone on the Eagles.
  24. Jay Ross looked awful against the Colts.
