  1. Bradford isn't worth a 3rd or 4th on his contract. There's a decent chance he's cut, in which case Buffalo should definitely consider signing him.
  2. I'd probably hire Trestman if the Bears let him go. I'd probably hire Trestman if the Bears let him go.
  3. 1) Brady is renting out, not renting his N.Y.C. apartment 2) What on Earth does that have to do with Buffalo or the Buffalo Bills?
  4. This is a great point. Believe it or not, some people have a standard of being better than just a "winning team." This coaching staff isn't good enough for a deep playoff run.

  6. They'd be what? Dominated? As for Urbik's play, it's clear that the team won today despite Marrone and Hackett's coaching. Just like last year's blowout of the Jets, the Bills lacked quality offensive coaching. Marrone, last year, made some inexcusable issues with clock and timeout management in the 37-14 win over the Jets. This year, the media and fans will again forget the fact that he coaches an indisciplined team, has a hack O.C. who isn't cut out for top D-1 O.C. positions, and is incredibly stubborn when it comes to playing the best player for a position. Urbik should have always been the starter at left guard, or at least come in after Williams' injury. Richardson isn't ready. Marrone and Hackett will be gone after this year, I think, and they should be. I think the team goes 8-8 with wins over the Jets and Raiders and a win over the Dolphins, Chiefs, or Browns.
  7. Kyle, at his age, and having only played for the Bills, is worth far more to the team than the draft pick we would get for him. We wouldn't get "fair" compensation. Other teams would be hesitant to acquire him given his age and the fact that he has never played elsewhere (that is to say that he has always had time to get up to speed in a new defensive system without dealing with other facets of a move). Hughes would probably be the easiest to move. He has only been good as a Bill, but his contract is expiring (meaning "fair value" is easier to agree upon for both us and the acquiring team) and he has been excellent so far. He would probably net a 4th. I wouldn't trade him, but, if the organization knew that he would be likely be leaving after this year, I could see them making such a deal if they were pessimistic about the rest of the season.
  8. Why would San Diego trade a young, fresh, player who is playing better than any Bills' RB for Jackson or Spiller? Jackson is 33. Spiller hasn't played well and is a free agent in 2015. There is no correlation between your first and second sentences. All three players are running backs. Even though running backs have diminished value, it is absurd to claim that a team would trade a good, cheap player with several years on his contract for a free agent whose play has declined or a 33-year old RB.
  9. I think that KellyStrong was referring to the second "your," in which case he was correct...
  10. I had a a dream last night that Nigel Bradham was out for Week 2, though I can't recall the reason he wasn't playing.
  11. The offense built confidence, which is huge, and the defense was good, though I'm concerned about attrition. San Diego and Miami are far more important games. If we win, we are in great shape for the year. If things go poorly, whether due to performance or injury, I'll be concerned. I think a healthy team goes 8-8 or 9-7. With serious injuries (3-4 starters out each week), we'll go 6-10 or 7-9.
  12. Did anyone watch the o-line closely? Glenn had some great blocks, particularly the pull to the left that gave Spiller room to run despite the latter's hesitation to move upfield on the play. I thought that Wood was weak, which didn't help Spiller; that's in addition to his poor snap to E.J. on a failed pass attempt midway through the game. If anyone watched the guards closely, I'd love some input.
  13. Graham is a hell of a player.
  14. What? Whitner wasn't the perfect pick, but he was productive. Maybin was useless. If you're going to judge a selection based on players we passed on, Orakpo was a consensus pick who plays the same position as Maybin whom we passed on. Cushing, Harvin, and Mack are other Pro Bowlers we passed on in favor of Maybin, if you want to use the "should have drafted x instead" argument. Bledsoe wasn't worth a first round pick, but he was productive and kept the team (with an incredibly shallow roster offensively) competitive. I really don't see the logic behind your post, especially the claim that the Whitner pick was a bigger failure than the Maybin selection.
  15. I was asking who "Keith Ellington" is. I forgot to quote the post above mine.
  16. Sam shares some of the blame for the amount of attention the media and ESPN dedicate to him. He had, in May, signed up for a reality t.v. show. If he wanted to make a team at all costs and downplay his "celebrity," he wouldn't have considered such a venture. I am surprised that he isn't on a practice squad from a football perspective and agree with the post suggesting a C.F.L. career as the next step for Sam. Without the distractions, he should be a practice squad player at the least.
  17. Thanks. I'm glad that we have a solid, intelligent veteran in the secondary.
