Both sets of starters were still on the field when Allen came on. Pocket awareness was vastly different. AJ just stands there. Allen's TD would have been a sack with either other QB in. I complained about the free rushers Allen was facing too. He could just deal with it.

With Allen it's a flick of the wrist, and he doesn't need to hop step into it. But, Mahomes has quite the arm himself.

You have to accept that the argument was legitimate. He was a low probability guy.... But I've also said the statistics arent made in a vacuum, so trends get bucked. Cred to Beane for being the man.

I pulled for EJ, but he never looked to have "it". But.... We should temper our excitement. I do believe he's the best QB on OUR team. So we will find out soon. If I remember correctly, most of us felt EJ looked and sounded the part on paper, and we really really liked the guy too, but he never impresed me.(not that my opinion matters,lol)

I'm sure most folks thought AJ should come in and be better at first. Folks tried to sell us that Allen couldn't read a defence or had terrible accuracy. Well, that was crap. His movement in the pocket is pro level too.

At 7:30 pm it was. Now, not so much. Do you really expect Nate to start? Really? He's a local kid to me. I pull for my locals.....but Allen isn't the guy the press told you he was. He's ready.

It's Allen's turn by rotation next week anyway.

Allen is proving it though. I have waited till now to say Allen should start. Best guy wins. Every season counts. I'm not worried about breaking him anymore. He has more poise than any rookie QB I've seen. And to this point, in pre season granted, he produces. The goal line TD was all I needed. Two amazing drives with amazing TDs in two weeks. Four scoring drives in two weeks.

The only problem is he is our best QB. And in my opinion, that's the starter.

Mayfield is going to have to score on second team at least. He got handled until third team went in. I like him, but he finally turned it on when the bills players were camp fodder guys.

But he's about to be our backup. Nah man.... Allen is not what we've been told he was. Dude is going to be great.

Allen's foot work has blown me away. Nate gave me flash backs on his first throw....

Me thinks murph will end up a fantasy waiver guy in the first few weeks of regular season.

Wow. So with or without AJ, next week is Allen's turn to start. Right now, even with AJ, I believe Allen is the best QB on the team. If he plays well next week he's our starter.
