With the injury history or Hernandez, Gronkowski, and now Amendola, the odds are not in the Pats favor. History says some or perhaps all will miss significant time. Good luck with that.

What upgrades are needed on the DL? Also, secondary isn't all pro, but come on, it's as deep as it's been in some time, hence the release of Wilson. Searcy has arrived, and if Williams is the nickel or moved to safety then i really like it. Buddy has built from the lines out. Has he bricked on some picks? Of course. Would we all love to have CK or RW? YES! However, this is the guy that got us Glenn, Carrington, Mario, Urbik, Rinehart, Pears, and Dareus and has worked to re ink OL and DL depth including Colin Brown Sam Young etc. I think we can all agree he mis-targeted CK and RW, perhaps thinking they would go a round later. But wtf guys? For years we have complained about our interior being soft on both sides. Difference being if Williams gets beat out at LDE, his primary position, odds are he will beat someone else out at RDE. If, god forbid, he gets beat out at RDE, there's always OLB. There are four possible positions for him to play before being relegated to the bench. For Fitz or Jackson, not so much

Re-read my post. I'm simply saying that the injury concerns surrounding Gronkowski coming out of college seem to have some teeth. Nothing more.

Nix gets a ton of crap for not taking Gronk over Troup, and I get it. But, IIRC Gronk missed his entire pre draft year due to injury. Now it seems he's living up to his pre draft reports - stud when healthy but injured often.

So this rumor gets floated at the same time the Fitz asked to restructure rumor comes out. Color me cynical.

This is out of hand. Nix has stated since Y1 that if there was a "10 year guy" there he would take him. It's clear he didn't see Kap or Wilson as 10 year guys. I can live with that. How many here saw them as "10 year guys"? Many on this board may have been intrigued with these guys, but few were saying they were "build around me for 10 years" type players. Buddy isn't hard to figure out. He told all of you what he was going to do. How can anyone be confused? It was very clear. To paraphase NIx: "If there's a guy there that we feel can be a 10 year guy, we'll take him. Otherwise, we'll build until we find a guy we can plug in to a developed system." Why are folks angry or confused? Why do folks keep saying he overpaid Fitz? Why are people griping that the Bills don't have Dalton or Ponder?
