  1. Watkins is a stud. It's not every day that you get a chance to collect a player of his caliber. Who cares what they paid? According to most here the Bills have blown their first round picks for the past ten years. Why would they suddenly expect next year's first rounder to be a surefire thing? In 2009 that first and fourth was Aaron Maybin and Shawn Nelson. In 2010 it was Spiller and Easley. It boggles the mind. If you could trade Aaron Maybin and Shawn Nelson right now for Watkins would you do it?
  2. Revis hardly shut down AJ Green. 5-81-1 is a great day.
  3. Do the Pegulas get Ralph's Taurus?
  4. Yup, just like baseball. If one is, they all are.
  5. Agreed mrags. I'm sure they are, and everything else.
  6. What's my issue? You don't see the slippery slope? Player X gets injured and uses HGH to recover and comes back bigger, faster, and stronger than ever. This advantage causes him to beat out player Y for player Y's previously held spot. Player Y is well aware of Player X's use of HGH to recover from his injury and attributes Player X's use of said hormone to the loss of Player Y's job. Suddenly Player Y gets an "injury" that requires HGH to recover from. Dude, the entire league will be on HGH in less than a year. How do you not see that?
  7. Who WEO? Dr. Feelgood? Seriously?
  8. No WEO. Because I've seen the same story in baseball. "Because he got to EJ"? Really? Your myopia does not serve you well. Grow up man.
  9. A win here would be huge, because after this week, which admittedly is dicey, there are seven wins in a row sitting there for the taking. Look at the sked. If Orton can simply be average, there isn't a game between 10/12 and 11/30 that could be considered an automatic loss.
  10. Will keep your Pop in my thoughts e.
  11. So your position is that we need a top 10 QB to be a SB contender. Fair enough. Manuel may never be that, only time will tell. However, it's clear the kid is getting better. Let's see how his game evolves over the course of the year before we rush to judgement.
  12. Right LOVE. EJ's rookie year was just that, a rookie year. 2-3 good games, 2-3 stinkers, and 3-4 average games. In other words, an NFL rookie QB.
  13. pap, is it your position that only "top 10" QBs are able to win super bowls?
  14. Regressing from the improvements he has made this year or regressing from the below average standard he set last year? Posit for a moment, if you will, that EJ's next two games are below average. Would you consider that to be identifiable proof of regression from this year's standard that he has set in games 1 and 2, or some other papazoidian standard that you arbitrarily set? What is the benchmark for regression?
  15. The drop in production for QBs from age 36 to 37 is precipitous. He is def on the decline.
  16. Don't we all want the QB of the Bills to improve? We all know Manuel isn't Luck, but if he continues to improve he'll be just fine for this team.
  17. Of course he is. He's 37 years old.
  18. Yep. Grabbed the wrist and pulled it down. No ball contact.
  19. Grimes made a play on Watkins' arm and pulled it down. He never touched the ball.
  20. Sorry vegas. I see that my posts came across as contrarian, wasn't my intent. Was only saying that the points came in the context of what their offensive philosophy is. As for losing "so many" games when winning the turnover battle, I'd have to see proof that was actually true before I can comment.
  21. The gains are irrelevant, though, no? 3 passes on 9 plays is hardly "coming out throwing". The drive went like this: pass, run, run, pass, run, run, pass, run, run. That seems pretty consistent with their overall offensive philosophy and entirely in line with what they want to do all game long. In no way, shape, or form is it coming out throwing.
  22. @ vegas55 The Bills most certainly did not come out throwing after getting down 7-0. On the ensuing drive, they ran 9 plays. 6 were runs, 3 were passes. @ Mooshocker 41.8% of Manuel's attempts were 10 yards or more - good for 8th or 9th best in the league. Where are you getting this check down idea from?
