  1. Dumping Fred and Cassel, if it leads to an extension of Dareus, is the right move every day of the week and twice a month.
  2. Those teams' quarterbacks say Hi. 🙋 If Taylor can be Daltonesque, watch how much of a better coach Ryan becomes.
  3. Is the new expectation that our guy never gets beat, ever? Of course he'll get burned. It's a passing/QB driven league after all, what else would you expect? The trick is does he get burned less than the other corners in the league, and subsequently does he limit his guy to less than his APG?
  4. Does Mallet count as a second QB?
  5. If Luck throws for 350 and 3 TDs I still feel like the Bills win this one. As long as Taylor is merely a middle of the pack QB with above average ball security, with the skill personnel on this offense and a middle of the pack OL, 30 pts plus a game should be the norm. This team is stacked. The days of worrying about one weak link are over, methinks.
  6. Good for Fred. So glad we won't see him this year. Happy for him, and he should be a nice fit there.
  7. What better thread than this one to test out my new avatar?!
  8. Bob Woods is entering his third year and despite having no stability at QB has proven to be one of the best young talents in the game at the position. All this on a rookie deal with two more years left. Yes, let's trade him.
  9. The Bills most certainly did not trade up to draft him.
  10. Right, so I confirmed with NFL cust support today that preseason live is no longer available as a standalone. Best bet IMO if you do not want to pay the $70 is to free trial the first game vs. Carolina, watch Browns game on nat TV, and then go on vacation so as not to worry about the other two games.
  11. You bet! All I'm saying is when you draft a QB, particularly a developmental one, you have to let him fail in order for him to get better. Holds true in any profession.
  12. Guys - what the heck happened to letting a young QB develop by learning from mistakes? Of course there will be bad games, horrible ones. That's how guys get better. Wtf?
  13. Jay - thanks so much for all your efforts. Given the limited number of tickets I am going to pass this year as well. Please cancel my initial request for 2.
  14. Tell me more about that "chip on the shoulder" Brady used to break records...
  15. Yup. Both the rule change and the stud additions are far more plausible explanations for Brady setting records than a "chip on his shoulder".
  16. Not coincidentally, 2007 was the first year the NFL allowed teams to handle their own balls, a rule change lobbied for by Brady. You do the math.
  17. The gap lies in the deliberate attempt to tamper after the official inspection vs the submission of non regulation equipment prior to official inspection. That gap, IMO, is pretty wide. The reason there is an official inspection in the first place, presumably, is to ensure equipment meets league standards. Large difference between seeing if you can sneak one by the refs vs deliberately altering afterward.
  18. Umm, Brady conspired to alter the balls AFTER they were inspected. Rogers didn't. Huge difference. The issue is far less about air pressure and far more about a deliberate attempt to tamper with equipment after the official inspection was complete.
  19. Noticed that too, come on WEO. That's embarrassing.
  20. Wait, do I have to sit next to Beerball and jboyst?
  21. @ CC, I would not mind if it's Taylor either. The point of my original post is that I would prefer a younger QB to emerge and subsequently grow simultaneously with this similarly aged skill group, particularly while this D is Super Bowl caliber.
