  1. I would bet the Jets coaching staff told their troubled offensive line to take advantage of refs that won't catch every call. If they did it was actually very smart. Smart coaches always seem to one up the others.
  2. It's so comical when a fan actually thinks they are smarter than an NFL coach. Not to say they never make mistakes but to question them based on your own evaluation of what they should do is absolutely ridiculous. I know I'll get the responses "this is what a blog is for, if you don't like it don't come here". Well that's not it, we come here to express our opinion. Our opinions are usually based on small tidbits of information or from our untrained eyes. Opinions are the cornerstone of what we do here and that's what makes this fun. But it's when the fan gets belligerent and thinks his OPINION is fact, is when it gets silly to me.
  3. He was released from Washington because he wants to be a starter. What makes you think we will convince him to be our backup? The guy said "“I’ll take some time and make sure what I do in the future is exactly what I want to do,”. So you think after that process he's going to say "I know what I want to do, instead of backing up Fred Davis for the organization I love playing for but I'm leaving because I want to start, I want to back up Scott Chandler"?
  4. You want our starting QB to come from the waiver wire or what you would call the "wavier" wire? Then you suggest to look for a young QB with starting potential on another team? Yeah that shouldn't be too difficult. "The next Matt Flynn" would be a guy that lost his job to a 5' 10" rookie and cost the franchise $10 million this year. You think Washington is going to trade their rookie draft pick now, before he shows what he can do and they can get more? Not only are you a booger, but you're that one you know is there but just can't reach.
  5. ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ
  6. Who's "the brass" and who's "the team"?
  7. No, don't like any of those either.
  8. Fendi was getting blown up on the line in the first game. I can't say I payed attention to him in the second. He better have extemely strong receiving skills to make this team, they like TE's that can block.
  9. I'm not bashing Fitz here but he didn't have the second most rushing yards in 2010. Vick, Rodgers, Freeman, and Garrard had more so he was 5th. 269 yards isn't exactly a scrambling QB. Vince Young eclipsed that number 3 out of 6 years with 2 of them in his first 2 years in the league playing 15 games. He's played in 30 games the last 4 seasons and out rushed Fitz in one of those years. Fitz has enough arm to play in the league, but plenty means more than enough. He doesn't have more than enough. It is close between Young and Fitz. Young is a not very bright but loaded with physical talent. Obviously Fitz has the brains, but isn't very physically gifted. They both have something to offer but neither have enough to be great.
  10. The peeing in cereal comment is so boring.
  11. I don't really know why, but Young makes me worry less about Fitz. I guess I think he can be as good. Totally different style, but as good.
  12. Thank you for helping me prove my point.
  13. Um how often do rookie 3rd round draft picks supplant a veteran as a backup? I'm not firm, I'm right. You clearly don't understand the role of the backup QB position in the NFL.
  14. Isn't the "how you feel" croud mostly the ones that have the extreme views? I'd like to think the folks in the middle are talking about finer points. You said "They looked sloppy and some players missed tackles, assignments and a few looked flat out bad." Is it fair to say you're not talking about finer points of the players, you've given up on the entire season, and aren't saying something legitimate?
  15. Oh I know that's what I'm saying. There's a rationale in the middle of those two extremes. For example K-9's take is that we looked bad in pre season last year, we look bad this year, doesn't mean anything. That line of thinking would mean that the Bills new regime takes the pre season solely and strictly as an exercise in evaluation talent. My take is that they are trying to stop the other team and put together a drive to score everytime they take the field. And it isn't happening. I don't by any means think the season is a bust, but I do think it shows we are having issues. I believe they are working on them, but there's things to work out. Lastly my point is why can't K-9 and I have two views and he's not being way too optimistic and I'm not some Whiney fan?
  16. The 3rd round draft pick rookie is not their insurance policy of RG3 goes down, especially early in the season. That player is Grossman. Where do you people come up with this stuff? And you're firm about it.
  17. Why does it have to be either blind faith or you're a pessimist if you say something negative? I saw what I saw. The starters didn't look good in both games. "Well the Bills didn't game plan and other teams did?" Ok, Why did the Vikings and Redskins find time or it to be necessary to scheme? Why wouldn't we find it necessary? Are we so veteran or on the same page we don't find it necessary to put together drives on offense or stop the other team from doing what ever they want offensively to us?
  18. You act like he's been with us for 10 years. This is his second season with us. So using words like "I always wonder why he continues to be on the roster", just makes you look silly. Yes Keith Ellison was undersized for an NFL linebacker, but for the record the guy played his butt off for us, overacheived even. How does that compare to Thigpen? This post is totally wrong.
  19. 6'3" 209 Lbs is terrible size. He better put on at least 15 lbs to have adequete size. The Bills don't need a development QB. This team is built to win soon in regards to players. It's either Fitz or a move needs to be made to find a starter, and with the way rookies are coming in and proving themselves that's the route to go IMO if Fitz proves to not be the answer. But trading our 3rd round draft pick at one of our most crucial need positions would be regressive.
  20. I wanted to draft John Skelton. I still have a feeling he's going to be very good.
  21. Did you hear that interview? Oh boy.
  22. Compared to Fitz he looked like he should start. I'm worried.
  23. Thanks to the poster for this information. I really hope he's ok and comes back healthy with no side effects from this unfortunate situation.
