Case in point. You don't have an actual opinion from watching or comparing him to other guards from watching. Someone else, another source, or a stat had to tell you what you believe about him. I'm not making fun of you, I'm just saying it's one of the hardest positions to have an opinion on.

I'm not saying we should or shouldn't draft Manuel, but I would think the fear is the amount of teams in front of us in the 2nd round that need or could draft a QB if they haven't in the first round. There's the Jags, KC, Eagles, Cards, Jets, and Titans as possibilities.

Yeah but why would an agent/family member/rep say "no that team hasn't talked to us"? That would only hurt the player and allow him to slip.

I live in Charlotte and there's a ton of NC State grads. They don't get why he's getting all this attention. They say he can throw it 75 yards but chooses to throw it 5 all game long. He's going to impress in the combine with an unbelievable arm and someone will bite. I hope it's not the Bills because I agree with your assesment of him. He's a statue that checks down constantly and you won't find an impressive game on him.

Let me clarify, I'm not saying that Andy isn't a priority or that we shouldn't do everything we can to sign him. I'm just saying most people have no idea what they are saying when evaluating a guard.

There would be no way to prove this, but I bet over 90% of us don't even know how good Levitre is especially in comparison. Maybe we've noticed him when he came into the view of a play and we certainly know he doesn't miss games. But most of us have no idea what we would even be loosing or gaining by signing Levitre if we're honest. Like the guy that says "we can't afford to just keep losing top players". Someone told you he was a top player, but you really don't know.

I agree he'll get some interest but not near as much as you believe. I can't agree with the Cowboys, he isn't in the same hemisphere as Romo.

Bottom ticker on ESPN is saying Revis is seeking similar deal as Bills Mario Williams. There's no way we can entertain giving up picks and that kind of money. I think these kind of statements are severely hurting the Jets ability to trade him. I'd be willing to guess that he gets cut or they can only get a 3rd or 4th round pick for him.

You can't just say let's draft a QB next year. The chances of winning 5 or more games are too great and that puts you out of the running. I do recognize that if Fitz gets cut we are quarterbackless, and Campbell could work. But we need to perform due diligence and pick a QB this year to be our future.

I couldn't disagree more. I think there are several first round talent QB's coming out. And I think this years second tear is far and above last years. Osweiler, Wilson, Moore, Weeden, Cousins, Foles, Tannehill, Keenum don't compare IMO to this years guys.

I think you're picking on the wrong guy. It's not that Stevie won't attempt the types of catches you're describing, it's that his QB doesn't throw those kind of balls. What the people questioning your position are saying is that we don't know what Stevie would do, and what his maximum potential as a WR is, because our QB sucks.

I'm just not sure I understand your theory. Don't reach for needs but take stabs at QB's in round 3 or so? Are you saying Patterson and CJ would be electric with Fitz? Another definition of reach is to arrive at. I think the Bills will trust their evaluation and arrive at a decision for a QB earlier than the 3rd. I agree that it's a difficult QB class to judge but I also think the overall talent is excellent. In other words there's no obvious top flight QB's, but in years past there's been a huge drop. To me this year is tough only because there's so many good choices.

I'm surprised anyone would want Glennon. I live in Charlotte NC with a lot of NC State grads and they can't believe he's being considered as one of the top QB's.
