  1. Damond Talbot whom has a few inside connections believes it is in the FO, so I'm bending more towards FO myself...
  2. It did seem to get harder and harder as the season progressed for Nelson to get open and it did have a lot to do with getting manhandled/jammed up in my opinion. Not going to find any proof of it in highlights though...
  3. Fitzy will lead the Bills into the playoffs this season, Fitz will also be very instrumental in the career turnaround for VY in my opinion. I don't mean to in any way underscore the importance of Ryan Fitzpatrick. Myself personally, Fitzy is future coaching material and would make a great OC one day for the Buffalo Bills...
  4. The closeness of Jeff Fisher and VY (at one point in time) may have been the biggest problem. Naturally, you will react and take things more personally from a close friend vs a coach/boss because it cuts deeper. What happened between the two probably deeply saddens both of them. Jeff Fisher is a very respected and accomplished coach in the NFL, dare I say Championship caliber and many would say the same about Vince Young. What happened between the two of them turned their lives upside down and almost ruined their careers. On the football side of things Jeff Fisher is a strict coach and demands respect, its his way or the highway. Jeff Fisher tried to make VY something he's not which is your typical pocket passing QB. When Cam Newton came into the league he vowed to never stop using his legs, because Newton realizes its part of his game, part of what makes him hard to defend and a big part of what makes him great. VY has the same skill set as Cam Newton, the new age power forward/QB Gruden likes to call them. Chan Gailey is going to do great things with Vince Young...
  5. QB coach Lee has always wanted to work with VY and he's doing just fine, Youngs got a cannon, looks similiar to Cam Newton when he throws in my opinion.
  6. Are you trying to convince people Chan Gailey is not a good innovator? You don't think there was any adjustments to help CJ Spiller/running game at the end of last season? Or adjustments to help Fitz get the footbal out of his hands quickly? You have zero idea of what Gailey does with his scheming/play calling from game to game or what his adjustments might be so get real. We were talking about a change from one QB to the other (Fitz to Young) which never even happened so I'm not sure why I'm even wasting my time arguing with you.
  7. Ummmm, because its what Chan Gailey does, he adapts his offense around his players skill set, and common sense would tell you its not going to happen/ materialize onto the field until VY is the starter.(or it does me anyway) This is a test for VY and the Buffalo Bills, one that Youngs not going to fail. Do you honestly think we plan on investing time into Young, teach him the Offense, and just when he's starting to show some real potential and the ability to win football games, then release him? No, its not happening. Just sayin...
  8. Very similiar athletes, Cam and VY... Poor QB play starts a QB controversy, not the backup QB...
  9. I agree Joe, maturity was one of the biggest problems, that along with Jeff Fisher trying to turn VY into something he's not, which is your typical pocket QB. VY is a very gifted athlete that has been given a golden opportunity now to play under a coaching staff that will taylor fit the Offense to Youngs skill set. Vince will also be able to work under a highly intelligent veteran QB in Ryan Fitzpatrick who will also help in the mentoring process. Its a win, win situation Best case scenario is VY gets a chance to watch on the sidelines for at least a full season, but one day this will be Vince Youngs Football team in my opinion.
  10. Nix/Gailey have high expectations for Marcus Easley in my opinion and myself personally, I think it did figure into the equation when it comes to the Draft/FA. Easley knows the offense, he's already developed some chemistry with Bills signal callers and Marcus Easley is ready to take the next step. I love this kid and expect big things from him...
  11. The hands of stone comment was a bit funny , myself personally, Easley's big, he's fast, he's physical and already early on in OTA's has become a favored target for Bill's signal callers. I expect Marcus Easley to become the #2 WR some time this season.(maybe when it starts) I also expect TJ Graham to have a productive rookie season. Speed...Speed...Speed...
  12. well said/posted, it all starts up front...
  13. You make my point for me, defenses adjust/gear towards the run and it opens up the passing game and makes it easier for VY to throw the football. Gailey will do with Vince some of the same thing the Bronco's did with Tebow last season in an offense/philosophy more like what VY flourished under while playing at UT/ College.(In my humble,OK, perhaps not so humble opinion, hehe) Buffalo has what very few teams can match in the NFL which is the highly inovative mind of Bills HC Chan Gailey...
  14. I agree, via draft or through FA, but its very possible Nix/Gailey figured between Hagan, Easley and Graham a solid #2 will emerge. My moneys on Marcus Easley. It appears to me Nix /Gailey deemed the O-line was the biggest priority for the offense which is very refreshing to see.(Very calculated/ well thought out draft in my opinion) Skipping over Floyd was hard for me personally because I love a good WR, but we needed Gilmore to solidify the secondary. Lots of good weapons for Gailey to play with along with a beefed up Buffalo O-line. Offense will be fine...
  15. Never said VY doesn't need to use his arm 1st and foremost, but the danger of running with the football helps open up plays/football field for other players. How old is FJ? What folks need to understand is its the type of play that Vince feels comfortable with, flourishes in, VY needs/wants to use his legs. If you think Gailey is going to try to turn Young into your typical pocket passer and make the same mistake Jeff Fisher did, you are sadly mistaken in my opinion. Gailey will allow VY to do what he does best because thats what coach Gailey does with his players...
  16. thanks for saying Cam Newton vowed to never stop using his legs when he came to the NFL because Cam knows its part of what makes him unique, harder to defend, the new age power Forward /QB Gruden likes to call them. Vince Young has close to the same size and skill set as Cam. Jeff Fisher tried to make VY something he's not which is your typical pocket passer, taking away half of what makes Young a great QB. Chan Gailey will give back to Vince something Jeff Fisher tried to take away...
  17. This is a golden opportunity for VY from a coaching perspective, I think he realizes as much, and it could turn out to be a golden opportunity for the Buffalo Bills somewhere down the line. I also expect Chan Gailey to make use of VY this season. It will not surprise me to see VY get a handful of plays, much the way Gailey began phasing Kordell Stewart into the game years ago...
  18. I like eating Fig Newtons, hehe, as a dog I ate a lot of me so I turned into one my friend...
  19. I can understand trying to judge a person's character/intelligence OP, and its not that I don't do the very same thing to a certain degree sometimes because I do,(although I keep it to myself) but when you start a thread on a person like this and then ask the questions you did it basically opens VY up for alias posters to assault his character/intelligence and he's not even here to properly defend himself. Not only that, to base everything on an interview is pulling things a bit out of perspective don't you think? I mean you can't expect to get all the answers to the questions you ask from one interview. Can't the guy just be answering questions honestly? Why does he need to pretend/give a false impression of himself? I don't know San Jose, maybe I'm just being over protective of a guy thats trying to turn his career/life around, especially now that he's a Bill... San Jose and I have been having discussions for a long , long time,(as dog14787) so of course I know he's one of the biggest homers on the board like I am, but it doesn't mean I agree with everything he posts, hehe
  20. In my opinion I'm not sure why this type of scrutiny is even warranted OP,the guys been through enough, our GM and HC brought VY in because they see potential. So why do we need to sit here on a Bills forum for everyone to see and dissect every word he says, how he says it, is he articulate enough to form thoughts, seriously? Awww come on man...
  21. It was more about the contestants singing with singers they looked up to/idolized. Different strokes for different folks, not one of my favorites, but I'll refrain from insulting the people that did like the song.
  22. I have to give the runner up credit, Jessica Sanchez surprised me and just kept getting better and better and better, although I do think her father being in the military helped carry her as far as she went. Still, technically, she sang by far the harder songs throughout the competition in comparison to Phil Philips. I had picked Phil Philips to win and then switched to Ledit the singer who should have won in my opinion. (based on vocals)Although I think Phil Phillip's has a wondeful career ahead of him. Phil Phillips has his own signature sound and the song writting ability and why I see him going far in the music industry. Mysel personally, Joshua Ledit's show stopping performances should have made it to the finale and made for a lackluster finish without him.
