Who starts next week: Taylor or Peterman?
Southtown Tommy replied to SDS's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Play the kid and relax - it's one game. He played under the bright lights in college and will be fine. Some rookie QBs struggle more than others - he needs the opportunity to play and the expectation is he will improve as the season plays out. The season is toast and TT is not the future. -
Who starts next week: Taylor or Peterman?
Southtown Tommy replied to SDS's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
In hindsight, the season was D.O.A. after the Jets game. Play Peterman - the kid has to get off the mat. I think he will as it can only get better for him, right? -

Kyle Sloter QB - Bills interested?

Rather have Kyle Sloter

I dislike the NFL and the Bills for the following reasons: Debates as to why our qb stinks We have to watch such boring football We have to watch the same teams year in year out on primetime, national tv Those same teams are always in the playoffs Buffalo doesn't get any national buzz (deserved) We have a qb that doesn't throw guys open - waits for them to be wide open then throws The Bills play a completely different game than most in the NFL, except the Browns There is no end in sight for a turnaround to a playoff team My daughter will be in college and will not have witnessed a Bills playoff team in her lifetime My son is drawn to other teams because the Bills are bad etc., etc., etc........

Bills Release Jordan Gay & Sign LB Ramon Humber
Southtown Tommy replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
J.Gay is a good guy, him and his wife are active in Moorman's P.U.N.T. Foundation. Hope he lands on his feet somewhere. Carpenter was on fire in training camp and during games and it would have been difficult to unseat him with a very good performance during the Giants pre-season game. -
Bills training camp practice 8/10
Southtown Tommy replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Cassel should be running away with it, but he is not. I don't have a horse in this race - so it would. be great if someone ran away with it soon. Hope to see some separation beginning Friday. -
Bills training camp practice 8/10
Southtown Tommy replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
No, you are right. The scrimmage did matter. I was in attendance and thought he made some nice throws. However, he often follows up those nice throws with a head scratcher. The truly good and or franchise guys don't do that. That is what I meant by "eye test". I once was high on EJ too, especially after that comeback at home vs the Panthers. Since then he just hasn't looked the part. I wish he did! -
Bills training camp practice 8/10

Can we stop with the childish reference of "meh"? Please? I know you are in EJ's camp, but to me and to many others, he just doesn't pass the eye test and if he hasn't started to shine consistently in practice, ever, I wouldn't anticipate it to happen anytime soon. -
Lee Smith is a total standup guy off the field. He has done alot to help with Brian Moorman's P.U.N.T. Foundation after Moorman was released. He was well liked in the locker room and has been instumental in keeping other members of the team involved with the cause (helping families socially, financially, and emotionally as their children undergoe treatment for pediatric cancer). Great, great, guy and family man. In that respect, he will be missed.

Powell Is Hurting Our Special Teams
Southtown Tommy replied to Peace Frog's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Shortsighted when they cut Stahovich. They didn't even give him the second preseason game against Minnesota to compete. He didn't have the leg, maybe 5 yards shorter than Powell, but he had good hang time and he understood how to kick directionally. Powell feels the need to boom the ball after a shank, the problem, the boom has 2.5 sec hang time. It's time to bring Moorman or Stahovich back!! -
Hey Bills fans! No one wanted to see Brian go... especially after all the good he's done for this community. The LEAST we can do is show him how thankful we are by supporting his cause: Donate $8 for #8 to keep his P.U.N.T. Foundation and legacy strong!!!http://www.brianmoorman.org/ Brian and his foundation helped my wife's family through a very difficult time as her 15 year old cousin fought a brave and courageous battle with cancer. He passed last year and words cannot describe how much Brian meant to him and his family. Please support the foundation and all the good it does in the community!! Thanks

Ex-Eagles Pres. Seeking Bills Ownership
Southtown Tommy replied to SKRAAPY's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
How many of his failed? I know of one and that was the bar / restaurant downtown. Bars and restuarants are 2 of the most difficult businesses to have success in and thereby have a high rate of failure. On the other hand, I can't remember the last NFL franchise that went belly up. It's all about relationships and Jim seems to have built many throughout the years with his charitable endeavors, e.g., golf tournament, Hunter's Hope Foundation, etc. -
If this competition is equal throughout training camp, I would prefer Moorman to Powell for what Moorman brings to the community. He is an asset and does TONS of great work to help out local families dealing with pediatric cancer. I have met Brian and he is one of the good great guys in the league.

Very True Story. Moorman goes about his community service rather quietly, however, it is heartfelt. His P.U.N.T. Foundation provides emotional and financial support to pediatric cancer patients and their families. He is a class act and I hope more support his foundation. What he did for the 15 year old cancer patient (recently passed) and his family is wonderful. Also, I believe the foundation was started well before the birth of his son in 2010. I know many athletes have foundations for financial and tax benefits, however, I don't think that is the case with Moorman.

What is Chad Kelly (Jim's nephew) hinting at?
Southtown Tommy replied to Doc's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Funny, when my pops passed away my mom didn't have to pay an estate tax. Mary will not have to pay an estate tax on the proceeds of a sale if the sale occurs in Ralph's lifetime. The capital gains tax applies, but not both in this scenario. I know the gov't likes all of our money, but that would be taking it a bit too far, don't you think??? -
Days like this I miss 'Coach'

I am begging anyone out there to help start a real sports radio station in Buffalo. It's the start of training camp, free agency is crazy, and it's the NFL, yet, the two afternoon hosts on GR are talking about movies? Movies???? Are you kidding me?? What a joke of a station! Shame on the callers who kept calling in to talk about it too.

ESPN John Clayton Q&A
Southtown Tommy replied to PeteBills4ever's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Clayton is the last person who's opinion I would take seriously. If I am not wrong, he was adamant about giving Losman and Edwards more time to "develop." He's a joke. Move on....next.
