  1. Sounds great... I don't see any way it would ever actually happen though, and there are a number of problems with it. Here are a few things that don't make sense to me... 1) I don't see how Buffalo can afford, or would move forward with a $1.4 Billion plan... 2) As the company states, it has not even talked to the NFL, the Bills or NYS... It has no backing. 3) Ralph is borderline senile at this point, and there's a good chance he wouldn't be alive to see it through. Getting him to sign on seems unlikely to me. It's pretty clear to me that Ralph is only interested in the status quo until he is gone. Those pining for an open air stadium, I agree to a point. However a project of this cost would HAVE to be retractable roof. The whole idea behind getting such an expensive stadium is that it would be a convention center, PAC, ect... You can't do that with an open air stadium. Besides, there is no one saying the stadium wouldn't be open for the Bills even in cold snowy weather...
  2. I don't think he is unwatchable, Fitz is kind of like one of those gross videos on the internet. You don't want to watch, but you can't look away... BTW, can we fire Lee already? It's pretty evident that he has only made Fitz worse this year, he was not missing those short passes like he is now.
  3. AW has had his struggles, but to fully blame him for all those plays is a little unfair. In those games the D-line did squat, and there have been many big plays given up due to players not understanding their roles. Both Wilson and Byrd as well as both corners have given up big plays because they weren't where they were supposed to be. Honestly, it's hard for me to blame anyone other than Wanny right now... On the plus side, McGee is starting to get healthy and has looked good, and we should have Brooks back after the bye.
  4. The Bruins (hate away) hadn't won in my lifetime, but luckily 2 years ago I got "my" first ever fan championship win... The Mets and the Bills are my other teams, which have given me plenty of misery over the years... Prior to that, all the teams had made it to the finals, and all lost. 0-6 during my fandom... I'm also a Suns fan to a lesser degree
  5. Sorry, but this is BS. Wanny has the pieces now. Sure the LB's aren't the best, and the corners are young, blah blah blah...Against any offense not named the Chiefs Browns and Cardinals (all awful bottom dwellers on offense), The Bills have been torched for over 45 points a game, including setting all time NFL records for worst defense. And don't forget, Wanny was hear all last year as well, these excuses don't fly.. This is all on Wanny. What worked 20 years ago doesn't work now, he has proven to be unable to make adjustments to opposing teams. He hasn't been able to get our talented D line matchups that work to their advantage. While the good opposing coaches have been able to make adjustments and pick us apart, specifically in the second half. The Bills defense for all intensive purposes is one of the healthiest in the league, so that's a crock also... Look at what Wade Phillips did in Houston, where he turned one of the worst defenses in the league to one of the best in one offseason. Saying Wanny needs several years to turn it around is ridiculous. The Bills didn't need to be the best D in the league, but they shouldn't be the WORST. Actually with the exception of one blown play I thought the Bills bottled Fitzgerald just fine. Gilmore was probably only covering him half the time at best. I thought it was strange that they had Scott on him a lot of the time, but he actually did a good job. Where Wanny failed, is in his inability to adjust to opposing game plans. When Kolb started running, he had no answer, and they started moving down the field with ease. He made no attempts to spy, or adjust the defense to stop those easy yards. It could have cost us the game, and probably should have.
  6. Probably one of the most ridiculous posts I have seen in a few days... So you are saying that somehow, playing as the 3rd/4th string TE in Dallas and not making a catch, means that Chandler sucks and Fitz is good? You have strange logic paths my friend
  7. Kind of sad/intriguing that in just a few games Fred Jackson has gone from "the best player on the team" and possible MVP, to the new Chris Kelsay TBD whipping boy. Why are people in such a hurry to get rid of a good player? And how the hell would that help the Bills? Sorry I'm not buying that 4th/5th rnd draft pick is worth the best RB in the league prior to injury last year.
  8. I'd be all for that...All though right now it kind of seems like "whats the point". The receivers aren't the problem, it's Fitz. He'd struggle to hit Calvin Johnson and Fitzgerald if they were on his team the way he's throwing right now. We all saw him miss Chandler and FJ badly, mulitple times, on passes under 10 yards. It's scary.
  9. It will be funny when Fred Jackson has a good game and Spiller does not, and the opposite calls come out. Ridiculous.
  10. Wow, crazy. I've actually had that injury...It sucks and takes forever to heal. I could hear crackling and grinding every time I moved...
  11. You completely missed the point chief. CJ and FJ don't do the same things. They don't run the same plays in this offense. FJ does his things better, CJ does his things better. CJ is the more explosive back, and should produce more yards on offense, no one said anything otherwise. That doesn't mean running him 30 times a game is going to make him more productive. Having him run the short yardage and power game doesn't make any sense, when that's not his strong suit. When they are healthy, the run game is working for the Bills, and working well. I think it's funny that people are complaining about the one aspect of the Bills game that has been consistent and successful... This ^
  12. Misleading stats. Spiller's runs have been mostly draws and shotgun carries. Not normal single set runs, which is what FJ runs out of. Even when FJ was hurt, Choice and White took those carries. I'm not taking away from Spillers accomplishments, but you are comparing apples to oranges. As impressive as Spiller has been, you can't call every run to be a draw play. It works best when the defense isn't ready for it. Also, for Spillers style of game to be effective the Bills HAVE to pass out of his formation or the defense will just key on the run. I think Gailey has called that aspect of the game well. Spiller would be even better if we had an effective QB. However we don't, so FJ is good guy to have grinding it out. You can compare sizes if you want, but it's blatently obvious that FJ is the more powerful back, and Spiller is the faster...
  13. This ^ When you have two good weapons, you use them both. In fact Gailey often had them both on the field at the same time last game. It kind of boggles my mind why people would only want to use one or the other...
  14. I love how people ignore the runs, and success that each of these backs have in different situations. Spiller has been run almost exclusively out of the shotgun, or 3 wr sets. Obviously this works very well for him due to his speed, this also helps give him a ridiculous YPC number. FJ has been getting most of the carries out of single back sets, short yardage, and the rare power formation. FJ almost always gets at least 3 yards, and is terrific running inside, even when blocking breaks down. I know biased Spiller lovers will never accept this, but this is his weakness. He is not a strong runner, and often takes losses on these types of run (he has been getting very few of these carries this year). Bottom line, we need them both. I thought the mixed running game worked great last week, until Gailey's stroke and he decided to let Brad Smith throw. Mixing in FJ changes the pace and will actually HELP Spiller make more big plays. Plus he gives us a reliable power runner. When/if we get the lead we want FJ to be able to grind away, keep the D off the field for a bit.
  15. People suggest this all the time. Sorry, but he just ISN'T a 4-3 LB. His "speed" is relative, decent speed (had) for a DE, not for a 4-3 LB. Especially because Wanny's system doesn't blitz. He is either a 3-4 strong LB, or a 4-3 DE (very similar). Oh yeah, he has never played 4-3 LB either...
  16. Load him up full of steroids and let him rip. He obviously can't play without them, so it's worth the risk...
  17. The entire team looks clueless, you are going to pick on the guy who has only played a few games? Might want to throw Wanny under the bus first...
  18. So with the way they are playing now, you'd take let's say, Weeden, Tannehill, Bradford, Sanchez, Kolb, Cutler, Palmer, Hasselback/Locker over Fitz? Interesting... Despite the hype Wilson has played pretty badly so far, and Ponder has been up and down as well... Even Romo has been far worse than Fitz this year... I know saying Fitz "isn't bad as" other guys isn't much of a compliment. I don't think he is very good...Pretty clear to me though that 30 is not the right ranking for him...
  19. I disagree. The 49ers are built around defense, throwing mostly short, high percentage passes and running whenever possible. I don't hear anyone calling Alex Smith a great QB, yet the 49ers are a SB favorite...Just saying...
  20. Pretty meaningless and ridiculous rating. I'm not sold on Fitz, he's probably not a top 10 guy, but he's definitely not a bottom 5 guy either. I believe that stats only mean so much, but still you can't ignore that he LEADS THE LEAGUE in TD's. Also, guys rated ahead of him like Cassell and Romo have far worse TD/INT ratios. Personally I'd put him in the 15-20 range.
  21. Sorry, but these "stats" do nothing to prove your vague point. There is no comparison level here. I'm pretty sure other good pass rushers also don't get a sack in EVERY game. Those numbers and the production look pretty good to me. I would have liked to see more from Williams at this point, but it's still a little early to be freaking out.
  22. I think it's more of, what if Jones or SJ gets hurt. We have NO legit backups for them on the roster. T.J. has locked up the slot with Nelson going down. It's not like these guys are great anyway, there is a reason no one has signed them yet...
  23. Way too late. I went to DTV 2 years ago and I'm never going back. Better than TW in every possible way TV wise.
  24. These types of stats are ridiculous and meaningless IMO. Especially coming from unconfirmed, third party websites. Even so, a much better stat would be completions down field. Bottom line is, arbitrary stats aside, if you watch the games you'd realize the Bills are not a down field passing team. There are reasons for this, the most obvious is the lack of deep threat WR's and deep balls are not Fitz's strong suit.
