Dude...your precious daughter got you something for you to Cherish and Remember....Well..that is what you will do with Lee and Poz...Cherish the good plays and remember them as good Bills players.

Why do we have to jump on the ownership for every front office move. Go yell at Buddy and Chan as this is their choice. Buddy builds his team with "bigger" people. One of the reasons he brought Craig Davis from SD to here. While I think they traded the wrong WR (Parrish instead of Evans), I don't think the owner has anything to do here. As another poster said, this franchise should have had a Buddy kind of GM in 2000...They hoped Donahoe would have been that, but all he waanted was revenge against the Steeler (For kicking him out in favor of the Chin).

Why Nix worked on the D-line first?
ganesh replied to mike oxhurtz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Good points. When your defense gives up 200+ yards rushing in 8 games (1/2 the season) it is a very obvious place to start. I do think building an OL is far more harder as it requires too much coordination. DL is reactive and hence gives opportunities for individuals to make plays. Whereas the OL requires mental coordination to not show up the play before the ball is snapped and having to be in the right position at the right time for the play to materialize. This is one of the reasons why Defense is far ahead of Offense during training camps. -
Here's my Training Camp Report and Photos from 8/8/2011

Anyone is better than Kelsay @ that position. -
And hope for good health to these guys. I hope Gailey will continue to build good depth on this front 7 so that we don't see a major drop off in the play.

As per the famous quote...Where would you rather be....Right Here...Right NOW! It is all about being Right!

There's an interesting word coming out of Bills camp
ganesh replied to eball's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Completely agree...This team needs to consistently run the ball and run effectively. Unless they can run the ball and take pressure of the OL, this offense is going nowhere. -
Guess who is the starting LT for the AFC Champion Steelers...Jonathan Scott..the guy who sucked here twos seasons ago...They kept him instead of Starks, who everyone is clamoring for here.
-
Another QB Controversy...Yes and No...Currently, there is great chemistry between Fitz and the rest of the time. The rest of the team is completely behind him. I doubt Gailey will break that up and do something different. Having said that, if the Bills did start 0-3, Gailey may go back to his favorite pupil from his past.

Wasn't the same comment made when we brought Cornell Green here last off season.

I am not surprised. Ronnie Brown has been to the playoffs 1 year in his career. And sadly the phins made a mistake..Reggie Bush is no Ronnie Brown.

Highly Optimistic when Todd Collins replaced Kelly... Highly Optimistic when Doug Flutie took us to the playoffs Highly Optimistic that Rob Johnson will be able to turn in the performance against Baltimore, week-in week-out Highly Optimistic that Drew Bledsoe will take us to the super bowl especially starting 5-1 and crushing the Pat 31-0 Highly Optimistic that J.P Losman will be the next gunslinger and that throw to Peerless Price would be the defining moment. Highly Optimistic that Trent Edwards will be the next Brady, when he drove us 80 yards downfield in a Bradysque fashion to score a TD against the Patriots Highly Optimistic that Ryan Fitzpatrick will turn the 0-3 start to a playoff run. Now....in between that we saw the carnage of a Mike Williams, the stupidity of drafting McCargo and Whitner, the failure of Greg Williams to Dick Jauron....\ and I am still optimistic that Chan Gailey can work his magic and have Spiller and Jackson run in tandem for 2000+ yards...and that Dareus is the answer for the worst run defense in the league..... Billieve....

And Belichek will probably fleece the Giants for a 5th round draft pick.

Starting to look like an NFL front 7
ganesh replied to eschej13's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
All Belichek FA's haven't necessarily worked out... The LB they recruited in FA from Baltimore was let go last season...Gaffar Jaffney did nothing...The Patriots big success with FA has been Randy Moss and Corey Dillon...They did ay a reasonable price for Wes Welker...But then Welker is successful only because he has Tom Brady to throw the short and quick routes. I believe like most teams, they have had misses in FA than hits. -
All three want to be starters.

Brad Smith...Update...signs with Buffalo
ganesh replied to Mike In Illinois's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
One season Steve Tasker became the #1 WR after Andre Reed went down and he was the go to guy for Jim Kelly and scored quite often. I think Brad Smith will prove to the Bills and their Fans that he will be a better investment than Roscoe Little Parrish and will also be part of the Wild cat, something that neither Parrish nor Spiller can do. I am really excited about this signing. -
What has the switch to the 3-4 gotten us?
ganesh replied to Coach Tuesday's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The biggest problem with the defense last year was having a LB coach as the DC who was way over his head with the scheme and was completely outmatched by the opposing OCs. This defense couldn't protect leads in 2nd half and couldn't stop opposing teams when needed. I really wished that Gailey can him and make Wannestedt the Coordinator. This defense will improve by leaps and bounds. I hope Gailey wakes up from his brain cramp like the 3rd game of last season and does the right thing. -
What I meant was that the sequence of events starting from January was known to both the players and owners and yet they went ahead with it knowing very well that eventually they will be meeting halfway across the table to handshake and walk away with their deals. It didn't make sense for them to actually do those things and taking things to the courts when they very well knew the courts would not solve their problems nor they were willing to wait for the courts and lose 1B that they hadn't figured out how to share, by not having the games. The one positive is that besides the lawyers getting money, the NFL also generated some needed revenues for the Hotels and Airplanes in Minnesota, Washington DC, St. Louis, Chicago, Atlanta and New York by having secret meetings and increasing the media frenzy!
-
The Owners and Players found a creative way to make each other happy with the new proposal, something they could have done long ago by sitting across the table like Gentlemen, something they did in the end anyways... The real winner of this dispute are the Lawyers...They made millions of dollars in forcing players to file lawsuits against the NFL and the NFL filing counter motions to lockout the players. At the end of the day, everyone knew in March each others move and still they went ahead with it and filing all those motions in Minnesota. Those millions of dollars could have been saved and put in the fund for former retired NFL players who are suffering. Instead it went to the rich and greedy lawyers... Shame on the NFL...Shame on the players...for letting such a thing happen. As Goddell said right from day one...Labor peace will only be achieved by sitting across the table and negotiating, not in the courts of Minnesota...Unfortunately, greed blinded these folks...

Cook and Glover are the first player to be picked this year North of the Mason-Dixon line!
-
The 31-0 drubbing of the Patriots with Sacks/Interceptions from Takeo Spikes and Lawyer Milloy and a good game from Bledsoe. The 5-1 start or the 8-6 with the hopes of playoffs in the Losman year, before getting crushed by Travis Henry and Vince Young! And then there are those Almost.......games... MNF against Cowboys, Patriots The number of games we had the Patriots by the throat only to lose them. The meltdown before the 2 minute warning against the Favre led Jets Last years 3 overtime losses against Baltimore, Pittsburgh and Kansas City Snow-bowl in Cleveland The choke job against the Steelers 3rd stringers...beginning of the end of Drew Bledsoe.

Yes and Yes. Even though Poz is not in the same category as a Ray Lewis, he is still an above average LB. More than often, we need to keep nurturing your home grown talent to be successful. Florence, flat out, was our best CB last season, much better than McKelvin and the others. If Florence thinks he has a pretty good opportunity to start for the Bills, he is probably going to want to stay and take a little less. I think it is high time the Bills cut ties with McGee. He has been too injury prone, lost his step and also does not contribute in STs anymore.

Also, there are so many other things to do in the big cities compared to the tiny Green Bay or Buffalo... The New Orleans being at the top is just an exception of having faced Katrina and the Saints helping rebuild that city.

If you could Cherry pick any two players from the NFL
ganesh replied to Jim in Anchorage's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Sorry dude...Reed is past his prime and Troy is getting up on the years...>With the kind of beating both of them take, I will pass... I like the choice of Jake Long as the LT and Demarcus Ware as the RDE....Awesome picks.
