An argument could also be made that if you are top 5, then you get an A. I’m with the B+/A- crowd, and I’m confident he’s top 10. I also agree that we need to get some special, game changing difference makers to go with the solid players. Kincaid may become that type of guy.

Who are the top five GM in your opinion. That will also help make the case for Beane

  2. great stuff...

The no punt playoff game where we whooped the Patsies has to be right there in the "The Good" list.  It felt so good that day

    Renewal of the Miami-Bills rivalry

The loss against Minnesota with the fumble on the goal line was terrible. We gave it to them

Kim's health - Not so good

For me, it's hard to believe we're going into the season with this receiving corp.  A rookie and a bunch of jags imo.    Not throwing shade on Shakir or anyone, but I hope this corp keeps us in games.

Yes, i'm nervous.  Also need more edge.   This could be a long season.

I am less worried about our WR group.  I am more worried about the CB and DE situation.  We had zero Pass Rush against the Chiefs in the playoffs and we continue to not improve there.

Easier said than done apparently. I am still baffled by how much Kelce gets wide open. Nike must have some kind of radar absorbent material he wears.

When Tyreek was playing for the Chiefs,  it was hard to double team both Kelce and Hill.

Last year, teams double teamed Kelce and that allowed Rice to make plays outside.

Gabe Davis, Knox all benefitted from Diggs getting double teamed.

Brady should experiment with putting his fastest players on the field...Samuel,  Dalton and Cook.  It will be hard to defend all of them at the same time and not to forget the threat Josh poses.

Josh's passing TDs were down a bit, but I thought that didn't tell the full story of how the offense as a whole had more run/pass balance and Allen tacked on a lot of those rushing TDs.

Allen puts defenders in conflict when he rolls out or he can take it up the gut if the second level opens up.

With him taking more outlet options underneath (dumps to Cook or Shakir) for RAC rather than eyes pinned deep waiting for those to open up, it makes those moves even harder to defend.

Would rather see the bruising short yardage keepers go to a RB that can get those tough yards and spare him some of that abuse.

THis year will be a good test without Diggs.  I think Diggs was able to clear the middle taking two defenders with him.  This opened some serious holes up the middle for Josh to scamper and then bull rush people.   Without Diggs, will our WRs get double-teamed and will they be able to create space for Josh

I agree...all the mvp voters care about is how few interceptions you have.

Passing TD and INT probably play the biggest role in MVP voting (for QBs)  as it measures "How good were you" and "How bad were you".   You don't want your MVP to be ever called out for the "How bad were you".

IMHO, MVP  of the league is  kinda hard to judge without statistics as they are not really playing for the league.  MVP of a team makes a lot more sense

I think that this had to be expected. The offense is going to have a lot of work to do this offseason, especially with a good number of newer players.

There's no reason to think that these receivers will put it altogether, but it's going to take time.

Isn't that what they are supposed to do in OTA, Mini and Training Camps.  I thought these are the places to TRY and EXPERIMENT.

Even if it was a TD I don't know if the Bills would have won. Wasn't there like 1:40 left on the clock if I remember correctly. Mahomes probably drives right down the field with a good chance at getting a GW TD. The Bills defense was having trouble stopping them.

THe last two possessions of the chiefs were a missed FG and a Punt.

KC seems to have a "2nd gear" come playoff time and we've got a sieve for a D.........do the math.

and yet the point differential was a FG.

Still had a chance if our coaches don't mangle 13 seconds and Dion Dawkins holds his ground for a split second longer.

We also should credit Chris Jones for tipping that sure TD by Josh Allen that would have won the game for the Bills

Andy Reid will most likely end his coaching career as arguably the best head coach of all time.  Who do you think that you can hire in place of McDermott that is going to close that gap?  Additionally, how many transition years will it take for that new coach to be able to beat Reid, 2, 3?  Those are years wasted with a generational QB.

Mike Shanahan joined in 1995 and gave a SB in 1997 and 1998 with John Elway.

The Bills need someone else to knock out the Chiefs in the playoffs before we would see them.  That is the way in the McD era.

We failed twice...and both at home....once against the Bengals and the 2nd against the Chiefs.   The Chiefs one was closer and if the team with the stronger will won the game at the end.   The Bengals completely blew us out of Orchard Park.

  11. The Bills have been outplayed by most of the good teams in the Playoffs.    We really just have that one dominating victory against NE in the playoffs and have scraped past average teams (Miami, Pittsburgh, Colts, Ravens).    We have lost to the Chiefs and Bengals and they held us in check.  We couldn't make more plays than them and handing our playoff exits early.

The Bills need to build a bully on both the offense and defense for winning in the playoffs and the Superbowl

We're not far away from beating them and we absolutely can win super bowls

This !!!   The difference between the Bills, Chiefs, Bengals and the Ravens is very narrow.  The team that has the better will on that day will win.

I think the Bills decision makers are higher on Epenesa and Rousseau both having big years than the fanbase is. I hope it happens and Von can come back with 5-8 sacks, if that happens the pass rush should be good.

Agreed...I would rather get a Jerry Hughes as the backup and keep him fresh for the playoffs.

Our defense needs to step up in the playoffs.

I expected a few of these comments, and there have been some.

However, I find it interesting that the general tenor of comments from people here is that the Dolphins are idiots for spending so much money on wideouts.   Someone said Hill and Waddle will make more than the entire Bills wide receiver room.  It's probably true.   The question is whether Miami's offensive production will be THAT much better the Bills because they have these two guys.  And the answer is, no.

Whatever.  We've had that discussion, and it was fun.  We don't need to have it again.

I, like many here, was glad to see that Miami did.  I don't think they have the right quarterback, and it's really dumb to spend money on receivers if you don't have a quarterback.  It just limits what you have when the right QB comes along.  And because I don't think they have the right QB, I'm hoping that they give him a big contract.  Then they're in cap hell and don't have a QB.   That would be great.

100% agree.  The Bills in the drought years had Lee Evans, but his career was wasted due to the Bills inability to find him a franchise QB except for one season.

  14. Great for Jaylen and his family. Congratulations to him.

This is going to put pressure on Miami as they also have to pay Top-5 money to Tua in the coming weeks.   Paying for two WRs and a QB is going to put them in cap hell soon

And little ol Buffalo is part of the greatest sports league of em all. That's why you build an overpriced stadium with public money. To remain in that exclusive club. I don't know what the state and county get for their $850MM but there must be something coming back over the next 25 years.

They probably could have made something over the last 50 if they bothered to develop businesses around the stadium. It blows my mind that all that ever existed was a Tim Hortons, a 7-11, and a couple bars.

Easier said than done.  You need business wanting to come there for Eerie county to think about building one.   The same goes for Niagara Falls.   The ability to continue to increase the population is what will bring business into town.  That hasn't happened in the Greater Niagara Region

The amount of those yellow puffer jackets we're about to see in the stands come winter time this season is gonna be hilarious.

Can people buy the Red and Blue ones instead of the Yellow?

For what it's worth (probably not much): My personal opinion is that the Bills would be JUST on the outside looking in of the "top five in the AFC" discussion.

In no particular order, I'd list the Texans, Chiefs, Dolphins, Bengals, Titans, and arguably the Jaguars as having better weapons than the Bills. So I'd probably have the Bills sixth or seventh. A big jump from Kincaid and Shakir could change that, but that's where I'd have it now.

Disrespect to the reigning Super Bowl champion ?

In some respects this is long over due ! The end zone should have some kind of lighting system that when the ball crosses the goal line it lights up on either side of the field to indicate the crossing then if there is a replay if the lights come on before their knee goes down TD easy peasy .

Sam with first downs and such i think it would make the game better and make it move a bit faster .

Even if they do implement this there will be still be many things fans can complain about !!

The game is also popular due to the controversies from these human elements.  If you take them away, you are making the games more robotic.  Leave the Human elements in the game.

I'd like to see Kincaid run more seams. Early in the year it was mostly all flats and checkdowns and quick hitches. Later in the year we let him fly down the field more and from my memory we tended to have very good success on those plays. With a WR room that I think will struggle to find consistent vertical separation, Kincaid can possibly be our one consistent means of freezing safeties and opening up pass catchers underneath.

There was a time when Gabe and Beasley were involved in highly synchronized play involving those seam routes..I think there was a Baldy breakdown of that play and it was amazing to see how they were absorbing the defender to them while the other was getting the ball.   Daboll was a genius

We need James Brown throwing to Josh Allen.   It is a play that has been missing since the first playoff game !!!

  20. Locked on Bills is probably the best one as it is available every day and the topics are fairly interesting.  I do agree that his format is robotic especially filled a lot with facts and figures and less about opinions.  A lot of the drive of the show comes from listing out the numbers and then comprehending them with his analysis. The show does lack that emotional aspect.

The show is perfect for putting it on and going for a run or a drive to work.
