  1. Heck,if you can entice someone to trade up and over draft one of these QBs, by all means pull the trigger. I want as many picks ad possible in this draft.
  2. If we pass on Hook for Adams I will not he happy at all.
  3. The kid will get him self in enough trouble to never see the field.
  4. I believe they not only had dinner with him but they went to Texas to do it.
  5. I was in the corner that they are just doing their due diligence, however, I am now leaning towards their possibly being real interest. I figured these QBs needed an extra look, but we may actually be picking one of these guys.
  6. It absolutely is. That's what adds to the parity and what makes the draft so fun. However, as much uncertainty as there is, some things are just foregone conclusions.
  7. Thing is, philly traded up twice, if we had made that move I would believe the correlation. They didn't hide wanting Wentz and did what they had to do to secure him. We are sitting at ten and have, in one way or the other been linked to two other QBs as well.
  8. I think it's huge that Pegula was there. 1) Shows me this is a real investment for the franchise and everyone is going to be involved in finding the right guy. 2) I will say I'm confused a little by no mention of Whaley. Was he not there? Was he, but it was more interesting if you only mention MCD and Pegula being there?
  9. Watson is my favorite QB. Trubisky is second.
  10. Adams or Hook if they fall to us. Other than that there is no one else wOrth not obtaining more picks for.
  11. If adams falls to tenth overal I would be thrilled, but I feel like more and more pundits these days switch up their mocks just to keep people coming back. Put out the same one over and over and no one cares. Change things up, yes there is more info coming out, but some of the movement just seems to me like, please keep looking at my mocks.
  12. We landed shady for a LB with no knees. Granted Kiko did have value. Point remains, when you are willing there is a way.
  13. That's my point, if you are good enough sometimes stuff could be overlooked to a degree. Hence, Prescott wasn't that highiy regarded as a prospect, enough so that a DUI being what bumped him down to the fourth round.
  14. My thing is, that is where their value is to me. A guy who I projected to be a few years away, but isn't as developmental as a lower round pick. Also has a higher upside with a better chance to reach said upside. We are starting to see it a bit more where people at finding starters outside of the first round.
  15. Not to stir this pot up, but EJ in ways had the one main flaw that all these guys have... RAW. Everyone knew coming put manuel was not supposed to start day one. Freak accident ultimately ended up rushing Manuel and despite playing well early, he just never was given a chance to develop correctly. None of these guys are day one starters and honestly none of them scream franchise material, enough so to take them tenth overall. I will state that the way the CBA is structured you can get out of under a bust at QB sooner, but you still are costing your self potential roster building blocks. One of the reasons Prescott looked so good last year, the strength of the roster around him. You can't blindly just continue to draft until you find one, but sitting on your hands never gets ya anywhere either. I firmly believe if you can get one of these guys in the second, then by all means. If not, turn your attention to next year's class.
  16. I utterly refuse to believe people are not paying attention to his name. As I have pointed out before, I have seen fans blast our own players for bone head behavior and call for said players to be cut. As far as Dak, I don't think the DUI hurt him all that much. I didn't see to many people having him going before the third round. If anything maybe it bumped him down a bit... Look at what came out about Tunsil an hour or so before the draft, didn't cause him to totally tumble. So I can't see a DUI having knocking Dak down from a possible first/second round guy all the way the the fourth
  17. I have had that same feeling about the QBs. However, these teams that are posturing like the will take a first round QB to groom, which hasn't been done in the history of of the sport, outside of Aaron Rodgers. Which to me, was also an odd situation because no one knew how long Favre would continue to play for. But I can't think of any situation where a team drafted a FIRST ROUND QB in the twilight of a franchise QB career. Then had a smooth transition from said franchise guy to the first rounder. The closest would be Maddox getting drafted in 1992 in the first whIle the Broncos still had Elway. However, Elway went on to play until 1996 and Maddox was already out of the league by then having finished with the Giants in 1995. Eventually came back with the Steelers but.. I feel like those teams are going to scare these teams that thought maybe the could wait until the second round, where most of these specs should go.
  18. You are grasping at straws so badly. If they all played in the same system, it would absolutely be factored into their evaluation. You keep telling me I'm basing things off of other factors. I have never made any other correlation based on a players ability to transition to the pros other than the system. Not school, not family blood lines, I don't get the Dak and Tebow comparison, as far as Tedford, he's the only one who presents a valid point. Having one QB work outside of maybe Dilfer absolutely would cause teams to caution drafting his QBs. To think otherwise is absolutely blind and nieve. Watching Carr, Harrington, Akili Smit, and Boller absolutely outright bust... if you don't throw up a red flag that his system is obviously not translating... That to me is like saying we should keep drafting a QB in the sixth round, because that is where Brady was drafted. Or like you even mentioned let's keep dipping into Miami of Ohio because they produced Big Ben, therefore they have to have other QBs. Eli has two super bowls having came out of Ole Miss. Might as well draft Kelly. His older brother was awesome at Tennessee so let's snag Dobbs. Having one example to competely blanket an entire body of work is weak at best.
  19. Route running and understanding offensive route running concepts. Treadwell isn't the most fleet of foot, in turn having to be far better at routes. Zimmer had said something along the lines of Treadwell still counting steps on routes and not being as fluid and instinctive. There is no doubting Treadwell can be a possession WR that is a match up nightmare for DBs, but the subtle elements that are asked for at NFL level is what gives you the leg up. Every one you face on most game days was a fellow top pick, or a guy who busted his butt to be a starter at the highest level.
  20. Yet,the paragraph about what you cherry picked pointed out the failures of QBs playing in that system and translating to the NFL.
  21. Yet, until it happens, the success rate of QBS coming to the NFL out of that offense haven't translated. So until they actually do, and your big theory gets proven right, still safe to say the Air Raid isnt translating. That same article points out that no QB has transitioned from that style on offense to the NFL.
  22. So what school you play for has more to do with how well you play than the system the scool employs? The Air Raid will also typically split the linemen wider, in turn forcing DEs and ede ushers to have to go further upfield to reach the QB. While the QB is primarily in the shotgun and not taking snaps under center. Often just reading what the defense gives them wirh basic route concepts. The offense in no way prepares QBS for an NFL style offense. We have seen Mahomes play sandlot football being thay blocking style. Plus, in the air raid attack, much like chip Kellys fast pace attack, if you aren't converting first downs you will tire out a defense big time. You keep acting like its going to be an utterly smooth transition. Yet, no QB has ever transitioned from that style of offense and played well in the NFL.
  23. A lot of college players did stupid stuff, well all know that. However, the pattern of behavior is astonishing. The lack of fear of repercussions is what the issue is. Yes, chalk it up to your personal behavior as a kid... then tell your self, where you a scholarship athlete with a historic family name and behaving that way. Getting kicked off of one team, getting yet, another great opportunity at Ole Miss and still acting like a punk... I have watched this fan base tear apart Dareus for repeated drug offense, but yeah, Kelly gets a pass because we are so desperate for a QB? Sounds like a lot of cherry picking to me.
  24. I don't like Peppers at all for our pick. I could see why it would fit, but the kid is elite at nothing and really won't be the BPA when we pick.
