  1. Crazy when you look at the players who have broken legends records. I was really high on Barnett this year coming out as he has broken Reggie Whites records.
  2. And Manning couldn't beat Florida while at Tennessee. What's your point? I'm not just saying this because I think Rudolph could be talked about as a sure fired first rounder, but this a silly reason not to like a QB, because he can't beat a certain school. If it's not mcshay, it's the rest of the scouting field that has basically pegged Darnold as the top signal caller coming into the season. Now, we have seen guys fall from grace before. We have seen guys shoot up from out of nowhere as well. But mcshay won't be alone in thinking this class is top tier.
  3. Hahaha, you called tyrod a franchise QB, my response literally was in exact response to that... had everything to do with what you posted. In regards to the other posters with reading comprehension... I could see Dennison trying to utilize Tyrod in the way Cam was, problem is Cam is a lot bigger. Plus, Cam has been subjected to some brutal hits because of his style and if the subject Tyrod to that, I don't envision him lasting long. Furthermore, it's easy to say you wanna utilize player x the same way you used player y, but when player y is a former MVP you know their skill set is hard to duplicate. Not saying it can't be done, but again, we have a guy going on his seventh season. This past draft class, the biggest knock was they wouldn't be NFL ready for a year if not two... imagine being told they would still be question marks in their seventh year?
  4. The ultimatum was to sign at a reduced rate or be shown the door... How many franchise QBs are being put in that type of situation? Tyrod is not a franchise QB, not yet at least. I hold out hope things will change, but for a guy going on his seventh year in the league, I sincerely doubt we will get much better than what we have seen out of TT.
  5. No one sees the irony in pointing out the number of pages in the thread, in jest. While in doing so, adding to what would would make up additional pages? No one is forcing you to post in the thread. Peterman has drawn some positive reviews and was not over drafted. We have been starving for a QB, nothing wrong with people pulling for him pan out.
  6. Folks, I want Darnold or Allen as much as the next fan. However, you don't have to get the Elway, you can get a Kelly or Marino. Need to avoid Blacklidge and O'Brein's of the draft... Obviously easier said than done. Nevertheless, I am curious to see who we put in the front office to help guide the way. McDermott gave me a nice boost of confidence by not reaching on any of the QBS this year. Despite my love for Watson, I don't think we should have drafted Watson or any of the other guys early.
  7. I don't think you are serious. Either that or you are just trying to stir the pot... http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000000788541/article/usc-qb-sam-darnold-generating-buzz-at-2017-nfl-combine Darnold is the real deal. Is there a possibility he comes back to Earth? Absolutely! However, Darnold has a perfectly good arm.
  8. Lynch and who else? Didnt realize we still had Peters
  9. I know I am the minority here, but I don't hate Marrone as much as others. I dont like how he had the holier than thou attitude, but he has also fessed up to being wrong about things... I firmly believe we would have made the playoffs under Marrone had he stayed. That being said, def bad mouth him in order to keep Barn with us lol.
  10. Fair enough lol. I'll absolutely do a QB watch. Especially since we all know there will be a guy out of the blue that comes in and shoots up the rankings. I just think mocks are an easier way for some fans to find out about players.
  11. We have two first rounders, in a draft that is supposed to have very good QB prospects... You will hear more about college football this year than the actual Bills because of that. Unless TT absolutely blows the roof off the building, I firmly believe there will be a strong QB watch going on.
  12. The talent is there, but the health and off the field nonsense... I am still curious as to how he still was a first rounder.
  13. Not much is going to beat being on the cusp of the playoffs and losing to the Steelers backups.
  14. You can take Mayfield off the list and I think Rosen might have some "character concerns" of his own. Not in my book, but still some will say they are there. I think Darnold will be the best QB in this class by far and away. If Allen improves his accuracy he'll absolutely push Darnold, but I think Lamar will most likely be a late first rounder to second rounder if that. I mean people knocked Watson's accuracy while having a 68% comp rating. Yet Jackson has been hovering at 56% if I'm not mistaken.
  15. Until we see what the new FO structure is I'm not goin to sit here and complain about what power mcdermott has or doesn't have. The writing was on the wall for Whaley for some time now, no reason to believe McDermott was operating at a higher power than anyone else. There are variables at play that need to be taken into account in regards to how things look from the outside. I could see if McDermott walked into Baltimore and did this with Ozzie, but our GM and scouting department needed a change. Would be more confusing to give Whaley total control of a team he's about to be removed from no? So again, at first glance, yes it looks like mcdermott has all this power, but he was acting in a role, that the person holding would not be in all that much longer.
  16. I'm interested in the wording as well here. Maybe the Bills do follow in the footsteps of the 'Skins and don't really have a true GM title holder. I wouldn't mind a new approach to the FO.
  17. I really don't feel like Woods was give enough credit. The guy saw how many different starting QBs in his time here? Injuries played a part, but the kid was fired up every game and played with his heart on his sleeve. Def got over paid in FA, but who doesn't? Woods was a fantastic blocker, might not be the WR Jones CAN POTENTIALLY BE, but was a very good asset to have on offense.
  18. Phenomenal work! I was about to start making the list my self. Seriously, well done! This is what happens when you look into thing and do a bit of research.
  19. I wasn't talking about the photo, I'm talking about them hanging out there. I highly doubt they don't meet up at some point.
  20. Barn' hanging with those guys def improves our chances
  21. Well they did fire their GM first so.
  22. I don't expect the defense to be lights out, but we technically have a first and second rounder also joining the defense from last draft. I say that because as we all know Shaq wasn't healthy a majority of the year and Ragland tore his ACL. There is a reason to believe those guys will bring something under McDermott. They are more traditionally 43 players to begin with. I also think Leslie Frazier will bring a wealth of knowledge abd experience. We won't see players trying to figure out where to be DURING THE PLAY. So often guys were still trying to figure out what the eff their assignment was mid play that no one was in a position to succeed. Mcdermott and Frazier don't do anything overly complex at all.
  23. Im not saying it does 100%. I mean, if I recall, Tomlin got the Steelers job because of the rule. However, in today's day in age, with information so rapidly accessible... we more or less know who teams have pin pointed. So to go on an interview to more or less satisfy a rule is a little silly for both sides. I mean, you can say it gives the "candidiate" experience with the process, but again, to do something like that, knowing it is to satisfy a rule... The numbers more or less show the rule isn't necessarily get more minorities into coaching positions for example. I mean since 1997, out of 141 HC positions have became available, and 120 filled by whites.
