  1. We haven't made it through the off season and already the man needs "apologist?" In what capacity? This is a bit of a stretch, no?
  2. Franchise him and work towards a long term deal. Pretty cut and dry
  3. I wouldn't really call them fans to begin with. A majority of them couldn't point out the players jersey they wear on the field. In turn, I don't know who we really are talking about, or why they would be used as an example towards any evaluation.
  4. Lmao, I think he's old enough to order a beer at a bar, but not old enough to utilize that AARP card at a restaurant lol. Listen, full disclosure, I my self have nitpicked silly things in order to make my case. I was a member of BBMB since October of 2004, I have had my share of very silly stances and arguments. However, this age one is becoming extremely out of context and making little sense for those who are so concerned with it. McVay in LA was 30 upon being hired and many thought it was a great hire.
  5. Also Brian Gukenust was born in Raleigh NC. So like I have been saying on Twitter, let me strawman here and say that's the connection to McDermott lol
  6. Idc what way anyone spins this, buffalo is doin their due diligence. They could have just hired Beane and been done with it. However, they have in fact looked at other candidates and qualified ones at that. I like them digging into the Green Bay pool.
  7. If I recall correctly, they could walk away from Clay next year scot-free.
  8. Was hoping for Veach. Yet, I understand the move here. Beane was being groomed and there is a good concensus around his talent evaluation.
  9. I live in Matthews, 15 mins from the stadium. Who are all these people you are talking about?
  10. zAnd exactly what do those news flashes have to do with the point I was making?
  11. How many do you envision being first rounders if you don't mind we askin?
  12. Sayles is my dark horse and beyond the usual suspects I'm clueless lol.
  13. Maybe not, but there are plenty of people who think what he's done is plenty good already.
  14. He's better than two teams who trot out less than competent starters... not overly impressive. Full disclosure, I want to see Taylor succeed. If TT succeeds, then the Bills will succeed. I just don't envision the guy evolving more than what we have already seen out of him. To me Taylor is maxed out, maybe Dennison gets more out of Taylor. If everyone remains healthy, there are playmakers and no excuses. Moral of the story, I am not holding off looking into QBS next year because he's second best in the AFCE
  15. Browning and Rudolph are going to be very interesting prospects for sure.
  16. So Tyrod was responsible for Shady and TD Mike? We had 29 rushing TDS last year as a team. Taylor accounted for six of those. If you combine his awful 17 through the air with his six on the ground, making 23 total TDs accounted for... we would be at a 23/23 split of TDs by backs and TDs by TT. Do stop with the Tyrod lead anything. The guy was masked by a phenomenal running game. Sure, I'll give you he contributed to the overall stats on the run game, but this isn't highschool, or college, I need a QB not a gimmick. And for the "doesn't matter how the points are scored" crows. Newsflash, it does matter when you try to act like Tyrod was responsible for said production. Especially considering, with his total TD production, he still doesn't line up with true franchise QBs.
  17. Any ounce of that is fan fabricated. We haven't heard a peep out of the Carolina orginzation about anything to that regard.
  18. Only because I'm curious, who do you do scouting for?
  19. Losman had a full tool box, but just lacked it between the ears. Plus, Wilfork putting an elbow to his knee didnt help. Nor the did the coaches obsession with Captain Check Down Trent Edwards. How easily people forget how much Losman was involved in that big FOUR in that class. You aren't always going to get it right. Like i have said, you don't have to get Elway. You can get Kelly or Marino, just need to avoid the Blacklidge and O'Brein's. Moreover, just as easily as you point out not being able to trade up for Big Ben in 2004, is just as easy for me to point out more recent transactions that saw two teams trade from the late 20's on up to get their QBs.
  20. Rosen does need to show more maturity. However, not nearly as bad as other prospects coming out. Certainly not a head case by any stretch tho
  21. Yet, the Chiefs moved from 27 to 10. What says we couldn't trade up with that pick? Furthermore, with the way this class looks on paper, you may not have to get the top prospect.
  22. I mean, that also trickles down to a high percentage of coordinators being white, and coordinators tend to get HC vacancies. So, while in turn they tried to find a way to force teams into looking into minorities, the root of the issue was still at the very roots of the system. Has it worked, here and there, but not enough to say the rule is a success by any stretch. That being said I think Beane will be the new GM.
  23. That's a bingo! It's simply cognitive thought. No one is acting like TT is a seven year veteran starter. Instead, there are more people defending his starting experience, than there are acting like he's a seven years worth of playing time vet.
  24. Hey, for starters, we owe a lot to Mel Kiper. The draft is what it is, in large part because of Mel Kiper. The first to really do what he did, kind of the trailblazer. Moreover, Mel has been offered jobs by NFL teams. I mean, clearly some are better than others, but they entertainment value at best. Once people start acting like they are more than that is when things get unhinged. Not for nothing, there are maybe a handful of people I know that even know about that many prospects on THEIR OWN. Most fans go off lists compiled by those guys.
  25. Yet, you hear the mantra of letting a QB sit and develop before being thrown to the wolves. Fact of the matter is, the guy sat for the better part of four years, showed some glimpses his first year starting but was stagnant in his second... You have to take into account total time in the league in terms of the light going on or not.
