  1. I wonder if there was any other threads on this, or if this is one of those hey look at me threads? This topic has already been worked from every angle and every perspective. Either way, it's done and fans should be moving on. I doubt Sammy is stirring away in LA with a picture of the Bills logo and one tear rolling down his eye. Then you are absolutely delusional. Watkins is hardly top five in his own draft classODB Evans Cooks Jarvis Landry Watkins
  2. So Darby asked for a trade? Because contextually you are making it sound like he wanted out. When in reality the coaching staff saw enough to know he might just not be a fit for what's being asked of these players. For such a mess of a secondary, our top pick has looked extremely good early on Hyde has played really well and before the injury Seymore was looking good as well. Our secondary has a ways to go, sure, but again this hooks back to consistently changing the philosophy. Drafting players for one scheme only to changet the scheme a couple years later. Well, on the flip side, if Watkins tore it up, they could franchise him and work towards a long term deal. If that isnt working... 1) You will get more in return because his value will obviously be higher on the trade market. Or 2) If things are really at a stalemate, you can pull the tag the way the Panthers did with Norman. If we ended up signing him long term and he got injured, that's the risk you take. But that gamble, again has to sides, if the injury never creeps back yo and he goes on for the next four or five years as a top target in the league...
  3. Reminds me of a one Bruce Smith who did a lot to avoid practice.
  4. I didn't get that, what I got was you need to draft well enough that if and when players leave you have viable replacements. Something the Pats have done for years.
  5. Can't really compare a foot injury to a chest injury.
  6. TO and it's not even a debate. Moss is right up there and obviously Rice, but TO it is for me.
  7. The only issue to me is, yet again we are losing players based on scheme fit. This is why the consistent turnover is really holding us back more than anything. I don't mind the Darby trade in a vacuum, but we need to bunker down and try and see something through without changing the philosophy ever couple years.
  8. From the comments we all have seen from his previous teammates, seems like he might not be adjusted to the trade. There is normal rhetoric that teammates and coaches alike give, and there is the comments made by his peers seemed very heartfelt.

  10. This really seems like a group of posters that still have ill will feelings towards an EX. Sammy is no longer here and who gives two ***** if all seven of the Rams fans celebrated. Like other posters have said, if you flipped the script we would be just as pumped. Let it go already
  11. I honestly believe he just didn't want to talk to the media yet
  12. All kidding aside, things like this help some realize how big of an impact sports can have in someone's life.
  13. If McSorley can develop the accuracy side of his game, he'll be a very interesting prospect. I know that can be said about a lot of prospects, but there is so much to like about the kids game. Doesn't have the elite measurables, but has a great approach to the game.
  14. So, prematurely as this all is... we are passing on a potential franchise QB in the 2018 draft because our fifth rounder looked solid against third team players. Literally, in less then a half of football in a pre season game, the decision is made at the most critical position in all of sports. I like it!
  15. So let me clear this up for my own sake... People love how we assemble the front office, then complain when they make decisions and stock up picks. Picks that all the guys we raved about can actually make them selves...
  16. Look up the definition of poduction. Then look up the stats. Find out that andre Reed didn't produce the stats Johnson did. I'm not discussing talent. I'm not saying SJ was better than Reed, but he's the only WR in bills history with back to back 1,000 yard seasons. With effin Fitzpatrick
  17. I think the Darby trade was good, especially if they get Matthews to resign. Watkins I think they could have played it a bit differently.
  18. If I knew how to post gifs fron my Droid, I would post one of a tipping of the cap. These are my thoughts exactly as this goes on and settles in.
  19. Holy... folks there is something called a franchise tag. Stop with the sammy would have walked at the end of the year. If Sammy played well, we could have tagged him and worked towards a long term deal. If at that point it still doesn't appear to be working, at least his value will be higher and you could have gotten more. That's what bothers me about the Watkins trade. They maybe made the move too soon.
  20. You realize most teams who draft QBS high lack a complete roster. Meaning they rarely have multiple targets to pass to. Furthermore, other than Rodgers and Carson Palmer, remind me how many highly drafted QBS truly sat and developed? Rivers? Also, there is FA, and we did just draft Zay Jones, we won't be trading all our picks if we need to move up, so there is still draft options. Not for nothing our most productive WR in franchise history was a 7th rounder out of Kentucky...
  21. No it does not. How quickly people forget Watkins agent had to come out and demand Sammy get more targets. Then you combine the injury history and the fact they added a more productive WR in Matthews...
  22. Yet, the players Chip moved were actually established.
  23. The Darby trade I can live with. Especially if we retain Matthews beyond this year. The watkins trade is absolutely awful
