  1. "We have to many holes" If we traded what ICB is suggesting, wed still have a pick in every round and would basically have a normal draft. If we have any shot at one or two you absolutely have to pull it off
  2. Never said these moves were made to get into the top ten come hell or high water. And it's terrific you laid out the added bonuses of moving the players, but if you genuinely think all these moves had the QB position as an afterthought... The second they restructured Tyrod last year you knew McDermott was not sold on him as the future, was willing to give him tight leashed audition. Hence the benching of Tyrod mid playoff race. Everything you laid out is what makes the move up for a QB that much more impressive, what Beane was able to accomplish while in the thick of trading up for a QB. The Bills have heavily scouted at least 10 QBs out of this class, ironically they never went to see Josh Allen live during the season. Only signed McCaron and have Peterman as a back up. As far as paying whay the Jets did, the Bills literally have a draft and a half worth of picks, McDermott has made it clear they need a franchise QB. They could over pay and still have a quality amount of picks this year and next. I'm glad your boots are dug in that he won't overpay, and that McDermott/Beane have made all these moves to go bargain shopping at the QB position. Nothing gives your scouts and organization more confidence than pinpointing a franchise QB or at the least two of them, to be like nahhhhh well just wait to see who falls.
  3. Again, we trade our starting QB, then jump up to 12th overall. Teams know Buffalos' intentions by now. Hence why the Colts got the return they did from the Jets. Jets felt the heat from Buffalo moving up and thought they needed to strike asap.
  4. Picks 12 and 22 are not going to offer a blue chip QB spec.
  5. Funny how this works, we trade up to 12th overall and the debate was what QB we wanted when we moved up again. Now all outlooks are bleak on us getting up in the draft, so let's start thread after thread about busts in the draft at QB. Give me a break, Buffalo 1) Restructured Tyrod's deal in order to potentially cut ties sooner than later. 2) Traded out of taking Mahomes/Watson to acquire capital for this draft class. 3) Traded starters during the season for draft capital in 2018. 4) Trade Tyrod and Glenn (getting the 12th overall), opening up cap space this year and next year. But I'm sure all these moves were made with a good old "Hey first round QBs bust we aren't interested."
  6. I feel like the phrase "due diligence" is being thrown around like crazy lately. Beane said Buffalo wasn't moving on from Tyrod unless they had a plan in place. They then trade Tyrod and move up to the 12th overall. We are beyond "due diligence," especially after the Jets moved up and forced every QB hungry teams hand. Beane needs to be making serious inquiries at this point or run the risk of possibly being leaped over yet again.
  7. Optimistic right up until the Jets landed the third overall
  8. Hopefully the call was the see the cost of #1 and going from there they can have a barometer on what the 4th overall will cost.
  9. The giants aren't moving out of the top ten, Beane is going to have to get into the top ten, then hope the Giants will make the deal. Darnold, Rosen and Allen will all be gone by the fourth overall. This is why, once we got to 12 we absolutely needed to get up to the third overall.
  10. You don't make the moves this franchise has dating back to the restructure of Tyrods deal, to come away with McCaron and the scraps left of the top And. The second Beane traded up for 12, reports were Buffalo was trying to get up to three with the Colts... That tells me they want one of the big boys and were left on the sidelines.
  11. Not unless someone is willing to trade with him. Beane could want his and have the best offer in the works, takes the other team saying yes to the deal.
  12. No they can't just move up if they wanted to, the Giants have to be a willing trade partner. It needs to stop being assumed Buffalo can just get infront of the Jets regardless of draft capital.
  13. I have thought about that possibility. One where Beane really did force a team to move up for Allen. However, that is entirely too risky cause a team like Denver or even Miami could look to trade up to #2 overall. Beane did say they wouldn't move on from Tyrod unless they had a plan in place...
  14. No, the Jets got as high as they could. The Giants are not passing on what the Jets offered unless they either have someone in mind they think is too good to pass up, or they are stupid. The Jets showing what they were willing to give up for the third overall, I highly doubt they couldn't acquire the second had it really been in play. So while the Bills struggle to find a team in the top five willing to trade out of the top ten, the Jets could potentially have their choice of three QBs
  15. Says the person acting like they know exactly what the browns are going to do based on a past regime. And yeah, they traded for a QB who they may have not been able to sign if he had been. They cap space to facilitate the move with little impact their bigger picture. Yeah, how stupid of them.
  16. Like they have the same front office thay executed that move?!?
  17. The Bills are not trading up. We moved to 12 didn't like the asking price to get into the top three and are now stuck
  18. My only issue is, you don't trade back last year and pass on Watson/Mahomes, trade starters for picks, trade Tyrod, move up to 12 while trading a good tackle all not to get a true blue chip spec.
  19. I'm telling you right now, anyone who thinks yesterday was lip service from Beane... I think Beane saw an opportunity to shed salary and move up in the draft with Glenn. There is a very strong possibility that move didn't entail him automatically moving up as was assumed. Now the Jets moving up means the Giants can literally ask for anything and I sincerely doubt Beane gives up the cost.
  20. They are all a lot better than Star
  21. Yeah, market value is Snack gets 10 million a year, as he does, not Star who has not come close to 2013 rookie production.
  22. No, at no point did I act like Keenum was a scrub. Nor did I say he was along for the ride. However, you can't simply ignore the difference in roster and coaching staff. Moreover the irony or arguing this while the team that knew Keenum best let him walk for his replacement.
