The wrong strategy to get into the top ten? The one caveat to getting to two would be getting into the top ten...what are you talking about?
-
My only concern is these teams in the top five may not be inclined to trade out without knowing who is still on the board, in turn Buffalo won't really have the opportunity to move up. To me Beane absolutely needs to get into the top ten well before draft night, and I don't know if it happens because of the elite top talent.

3-30: Ryan Leaf on the Rich Eisen Show

Leaf has won me back! -
I think collective they are as cool as the Vindicators

If any of these QBs start to slide I don't doubt for one second Arizona tries to move up. Need to be in the driver seat when it comes to hand picking your QB.

Any deep prospects you guys hope the bills go after?

Akrum Wadley, RB Iowa. Extraordinarily shifty. Reminds me a lot of Shady. -
McDermott has made a lot of secondary players look good. No reason to believe this couldn't be another situation where McDermott maxes out this kids potential. If not, nothing wrong with a potential depth signing.

Remember all the mocks that had Reggie Bush going first overall and then boom Mario Williams. We really don't know one way or the other. Quit possible that's who they really covet. The media will only know as much as any team wants them to know. Even that little bit of info could be totally fabricated. Moreover, I think the personality and the context in which Rosen made some quotes about potentially not wanting to play for a team like the Browns.

Bad feeling that we take Mason Rudolph
BillsFan17 replied to Klaista2k's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Had Buffalo not traded up to 12th, I'd be a bit different about Rudolph. I am a fan of Mason- can be argued tooth and nail for or against, that's not the point. Point is, once we traded Tyrod then made the move up to 12, then starting to bring in all the top QBs for visits... To much momentum not to come away with a bluechip. -
Sal C: Broncos Love Mason Rudolph

He's in my top five players at their position. Like mentioned above his QB play was so poor it's hard to get a good read on the kid. Same could be said about Chark IMO. -
This is what I've been saying all along....

12, 22, 53, 65 and next year's first is far from a bargain. -

For starters, if we traded 12, 22, 53, 65 and a pick next year... WE WOULD STILL HAVE A NORMAL DRAFT. We would have whatever pick we traded for, hypothetically in this situation second overall, a pick in the second and a pick in the third still in the 2018 draft. We aren't mortgaging all that much in retrospect. Essentially we could go a route and trade all picks that weren't initially ours to begin with to facilitate the move up. Moreover, the Bills' cap space next year is very healthy. They can afford to ride AJ and build this roster up via this draft, as well as FA next year. It's not like Buffalo will be absolutely void if surrounding the new QB with talent. The opportunity will be there to do so, just a matter of being a well ran franchise. -
There is this growing calm that some how, some way, one if not two of these QBs will start to slip a little. Buffalo will only have to give up a couple of assets to move up and land them oppose to having to sell the farm to get up to one or two. Yes, it would ease my nerves having secured a top pick, but I have a sense that maybe Beane isn't sold that guys like Rosen and Mayfield are locks to be gone before everyone anticipates. I could be dead wrong, but I firmly believe only the Browns and Jets are dead set on a QB with their picks. Browns fourth could be open for business, but I think the Mayfield love out of Denver is hoping someone jumps up and pushes down a player like Barkley or Chubb (who ever they covet most).

Lmfao that guy is such a joke
-
I'd be perfectly on board with Baker, however, I sincerely doubt any leak has any truth to it.
-
Why would you mess around with the first overall pick? Moreover, why drop to three and risk either the Giants taking your guy or trading out and someone else takes their guy? This isn't some sort of elaborate smoke screen. If they really wanted to drum up business all they have to do is say the first overall pick is up for sale.

McDermott: NFL is a “drop-back league”
BillsFan17 replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Fortunately enough for me, I think think for my self and don't need someone else to predicate my assessments. I have a lot of respect for Blokes, but doesn't mean I have to agree with that individual. To me it speaks to the whole "we made Tyrod be a QB" that we heard from various defensive opponents. They all say the same thing, turn the dual threat into a QB and basically we saw sub 70 yard passing games with 0TDs/2INTs... They need a QB who can obviously extend plays but more importantly can win the game through the air, the way the modern game is played. -

For me, this does eliminate a Lamar Jackson type from the conversation. -

A lot of Allen love to Buffalo. I mean he does know the rules, one bite.
