He was second to dead last in junior college comp % (57th out of 58 qualifiers)and followed up Coffman who completed 63% of his passes in '15, with basically the same roster, with a sub 60% comp. Buffalo under no circumstances should be "okay" with landing Allen. And dont give me the examples of successful QBs from 20 years ago, as if the game hasn't changed since the likes of Favre in college.

My point is there is no telling if Lynch is in fact a total bust just yet. Moreover, who is saying the Broncos dont take a QB in the second or third? All I said was very few GMs get to take two QBs in the first round. I didnt admit to a philosophy being good or bad.

As they should, drafting second overall you need to look at all the top players. Although Allen really isnt a top player. I absolutely believe the Giants could go QB. I've even argued that they have more justifications in taking a QB than any other position. That being said, the Giants roster and the money they have tied up already before going out and paying Solder, doesnt tell me Gettleman is okay will a potential lack luster season, while developing a QB.

That's the caveat with Denver, they are only two years removed from taking Paxton in the first. Very few GMs get to draft two first round QBs. I think Elways needs to build that team for a run with that defense.

I was a Rudolph guy while we held 21 and 22 overall. Seemed like a perfect value and a very solid QB 'spec. However since we've traded up I've been zeroed in on Rosen or Baker, mainly because I thought we had zero shot at Darnold. That being said, Rudolph, if fitting the criteria of the original post would be the guy who could away me back.

Of all the knocks these other three have, none of them are playing poorly against inferior competition. None of them are getting a pass for that inability because of the "team around them," when the QB who started in 2015 for Wyoming (Coffman) completed 63% of his passes, with essentially the same roster.

Allen in no situation is better than anyone.

I really don't think the taboo of falling out of the top ten is that big of a deal if you are passing on Chubb (I don't think Barkley should go second) already. They have done lot of homework on Davenport and by the looks of it, the Giants have considered a trade down scenario.

As nervous as I have been about not getting in the top four... Browns-Allen/Darnold- I think Darnold is the pick but this is the Browns. Giants-Barkley/Chubb Jets- Allen/Mayfield- I think Mayfield is the pick. All-in-all when buffalo has their chance to move up and strike for a lesser cost, they will most likely have Rosen and Allen available.

I also think that injury against the Browns absolutely derailed his development. If folks remember EJ was playing damn well before the injury. I think both Manuel and the coaches became very hesitant to allow EJ to be him self.

I am starting to lean towards the Giants hoping Allen goes one so they can rake us over the coals for Darnold at 2. If Darnold goes one, the Giants take Barkley... Jets take Allen or Mayfield and Buffalo trades up to five to take Rosen. I'm almost starting to see the logic in not trading up to third overall.

That's one of the most elaborate smoke screens I have seen... Now had you said, it's possible Buffalo likes someone else, and are doing their due diligence to see how other specs stack yo to who they like, then there is room for discussion

Benjamin Allbright is saying Buffalo likes Allen enough so they would take him over Rosen. Going with the same source he (Allbright) said fed him that Buffalo would be taking Peterman.

I'd pull for the kid obviously. I mean his ceiling is well stated as is his floor, and sure that ceiling makes ya think its worth the risk. However, my main concern, its widely considered FOUR guy, not just one or two. I could see if it was just say, Baker and Allen in the entire class and you had to basically take Allen because hes what the class offers.

I honestly dont think I could handle the let down. If we traded all the way up and take Allen over Rosen I'll be crushed lol
