This is a perfect yr for a reload/Semi Tank. The schedule is brutal facing the NFC SOUTH & AFC WEST even if we are all in this offseason with the lack of salary space and draft pks I can't see the Bills winning more then 6gms. We can easily go 2-4 in East, 2-6 against the west & south and split against the Colts and Bengals. We ain't going to the playoffs next yr. This gives us a chance to cut salary and build in the image of McDermott vision of this team. With that being said we can trade/Cut the fat on this team. Let all big free agents go Woods, Lorex, Gilmore and Zack hopefully these loses net us a few high comp pks next yr. I'm thinking a 3rd , 4th and 5th at least. Don't make any signings that can effect the comp formula. I would also try to trade both Incog and Wood if I can get mid rd pks for them trade them if not keep them. Resign both Groy and Kujo to extensions. With Cordy,Cujo,Miller and Groy u have a young nucleus for a good Oline. I would also trade McCoy and Tyrod for multiple pks. On the defensive side of the ball keep your D line intact with exception of Kyle trade him for mid rder. Draft heavily on the bk 7. With all the pks we will compile we should find some young studs to fill out those spots at LB and Secondary. The Bills have built the team the wrong way from day one. We are close to the cap and have nothing to show for it. We need to get our cap in order while developing young talent. It's time to set our sights on the 20's since the teens haven't been good for us. Time to get ready to be in position to take over the East when Brady retires. This organization needs a vision of the future not a bandaid for today..

trade Ragland for more mobile LB or safety
NastyNateSoldiers replied to Commish's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Trade Rags and a extra pk for Garoppolo. The Pat's are having a hard time resigning Hightower, Rags is a clone of his skills set and would fit right in with the Pats. -
Damn right it's 2013 all over again, especially since the following yr was a better yr to draft the QB position. I say the difference now should be even if u take a QB now if he doesn't pan out right away take one again next yr. Don't wait 4yrs to draft another QB. The Bills have drafted only 6 QBS since 1995 that should tell u what our prb is right there.

The Bills tried to trade up with Houston but they wanted the Cornerback which his name escapes me at the moment. I wonder what Hou was asking for because ten pks later we trade a 2nd and 1st for Losman. -
Bills have 2 days to trade TT/No cap hit
NastyNateSoldiers replied to NastyNateSoldiers's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I should of written on topic line 2 day window to trade Tyrod on March 9th and 10th but I figured u guys can understand how I wrote it. Lol -
The league yr begins March 9th the Bills have until the 11th to exercise his option. That gives us the 9th and 10th to trade him before the option can be pkd up. With that being said this is fantastic news and hopefully Whaley has a very good poker face to sell to teams that the only way out is via trade. The fact that his contract is very team friendly teams might really consider trading for him also. I'm not sure what his value is but I'm hoping we can at least get a couple of 3rds for him.

U heard it here first if Mahomes is available at #32 the Pat's are taking him. Perfect place for him to develop and learn on the bench for a couple of seasons Ala Rodgers to Packers. -
The fact that he has Tom Brady really helps and most importantly the things they allow the Patriots to get away with. There secondary holds, clutches, grabs on nearly every play. The illegal pks they run are a thing of beauty. The Holding that goes on on offense etc, etc. I'm sorry the NFL loves the Patriots it's been that way since September 12, 2001. Before that Belicheck was on the hot seat after 2 bad yrs. The Tuck Rule, never seen it called before or after that Raiders gm. I wonder why? If the NFL is capable of making things up on the spot what other things are they holding bk on weekly basis.

Bills interested in Romo!

Trubisky if lucky is the 2nd coming of the great Tannehill. Lol -
U think our LB'S and safeties have good size no way. P Brown is short and slow he sucks straight up. He doesn't fit the prototype for Lbs that's for sure. Our Safeties are converted corners so that says it all. Whaley just drafts players I think he has no vision of the little things like having players that fit the mold of there position groups.

Can we actually get some NFL size Wrs this time. Mof can we get some NFL sized LBs, Secondary, D lineman is it just me or do we look smaller then other teams at these positions. I know we get corners starting at Safety. Can we get some real Safeties this time. Why does Prestin Brown look like he should be working at UPS? Idk are these small pudgy looking players a criteria for drafting. Our team is the Adams family of football a Hoge pudge group of players.

What should the Bills plan be from here on?

I love both scenario 2 and 3 but I pkd 2 with the hopes of landing Sam Darnold in next yrs draft. Either way I would get rid of the older vets... -

I was waiting for this comp Graham Harrell, Wow. Not fair not at all. Mahomes pure talent alone is the best prospect in the last 3yrs hands down. Graham Harrell was small weak armed QB . The only thing in common was the school they went to otherwise there is no comparison. BTW the only reason we will have a shot at him is because he's raw and has some flaws and that he played in the spread system. Otherwise he's the best prospect since Luck came out. When u make these comps do u even consider the physical attributes and intangibles that come with the player or do u just look at the school and scheme they played in -

I can see front offices snd scouts all across the NFL having this very same debate we are having here about Mahomes. That to me makes him an intriguing 2nd rd pk and a iffy 1st rder at best. -

The difference u cite about him being taller and seeing things better can be HUGE!! Plus his arm strength and accuracy is much better. So basically if he can do the things Tyrod does but sees the field better he can become even better then most of the QBS u mentioned here except for Rodgers. My opinion is that Tyrod is a inch away from being better then Carr or Dak . -

We take Mahomes I would start him from day one and let him throw the ball 35-40 times a game. Let him learn from experience. He might throw 20 or more pks in his first season but he's gonna learn a ton bout the gm and it will benefit him in the future. Peyton Manning was developed this way he also threw over 20 pks in his rookie yr but look how the experience paid off. -

I definitely say more Derek Carr then anyone else. Kid looks just like him out there quick release, strong arm same type of high energy player. Even there body types are the same. I'm willing to say that there scouting reports are nearly identical coming out of college. -

No QB coming out of college is a finished product but here's the things I think are most important traits to have as a prospect. Vision Anticipation Stong Arm Accurate Intelligence Now when it comes to Mahomes he flashes the arm strength and accuracy that u need to be elite in NFL. His anticipation skills and vision are some what there but the system he plays in is a true spread gm that attacks the defenses weaknesses. I see him reading threw his progressions very quickly but not sure about the anticipation part of his gm. The one thing we know he's flawed at is the playbook portion of his gm. The question is does he have the mental makeup to digest an NFL playbook and keep his style of play intact. Which is easier said then done. Not being mechanical or a great technician is not that important u can teach those things to him. Mahomes has great energy in his gm and the fact that he played in a gunslinger spread scheme can actually help him at the next level. This Kid ain't scared to make throws that's what I love bout him. He also has a great feel to throwing the ball knowing when to put a soft touch or when to lob or throw a bullet in a tight spot. -

I love this kid, bigtime arm strength on any given play reminds me of different gunslinger types. Favre, Stafford, Rodgers and Carr . He has that free flowing style to him. The key to his development is not hindering his approach but to fully embrace it. Can't take him at #10 , this kid is not everyone cup of coffee. I can easily see scouts grading him from 1st to 3rd rd in the draft. With that being said we either trade bk from #10 and add pks or we trade up from 2nd rd to late first.
