They know he's ready no need for a competition.

There was more going on in Kc then just putting the blame on Alex Smith but the answer u seek is obvious Mahomes wasn't ready yet . Although he was ripping it up in practice he still needed to learn the basics of being a NFL QB. Mahomes played in the air raid offense at Texas Tech his playbook was more like a kids coloring book compared to the NFL. Mahomes did work very hard and has caught on pretty quickly to NFL concepts. Btw Tre went 27 who's to say we couldn't package something up and traded for him? Imagine that we could of possibly had both. Now that would of been a homerun of a draft. I don't mean that in a 4 play sequence. Lol

He's got it . He's the gunslingers gunslinger that's why. My man Mahomes is a cyborg he has crazy talent one play he can look like Russ on the next Ben the next Rodgers, Favre . I've never seen a QB that i compared so much to other greats. Now i realize he needs to fix his mechanics to a degree and learn how to be a professional QB as far as play calling and making the correct line calls . But those things will come with experience his flaws are fixable.

Mahomes will be better then all of them.

QB's... Where they land... Story on NFL.com

Especially since he might cost up to 20mil per season. But then again Mcd got Mcholes to fill on his Defense and that's more important than getting a franchise QB. -
QB's... Where they land... Story on NFL.com

Of course we got holes to fill at DT, LB and Bkup RB . Who needs a QB not us no no we don't need no damn QB. We don't take QB in the top 10 we haven't in nearly 50yrs . The fan base can wait some more as long as we fill these holes we have we will be ok. -
Exactly he's a control freak and a manipulator. He made a huge mistake not taking a QB last yr. I guess cornerback is more important then QB to Mcd.

I just can't wait for those 160yd performances its gonna be fantastic

There already debating this in Cleveland. He ain't passing the Jets at #6. Most if not all draft experts have been pretty consistent talking about Mayfield skills on the field. He's actually across the board the beat QB in this class. We hear bout Darnold mechanics, Rosen can't handle pressure, Allen he's a project but Mayfield they talk bout height but we all know he can see he was that ability that other great short QBs have like Brees or Russ.

The “Draft Capital” is over rated

I wouldn't use Jones as an example he's horrible. There's bout 5 or 6 wrs that were better then him that went after him in the draft. -
Nick Foles is going nowhere...

U were proud when u posted that 14-4 stat. 14-4 was good in the early 70s when Bob Griese was throwing the ball 12 times a gm. Lol -
Nick Foles is going nowhere...
NastyNateSoldiers replied to LabattBlue's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Btw today i was thinking bout Foles vs Cousins and the benefits of going after one or the other. The price for Foles is a high rd pk so we would essentially be making him our answer for 5, 6 more yrs that would also mean he's gonna get an extension at about 22 to 25 mil per season. With that being said I'd rather just pay Cousins and not have to give up any pks . -
We weren't a perfect team there were some holes like NT & CB but i wish we would of signed Reggie White when we had a chance. Reggie & Bruce that would have been amazing and it would of fit perfectly because they both played on opposite sides. Reggie definitely would of been the difference vs the Cowboys. The Bills could of ended up in even more Superbowls also probably would of gone in 94, 95, 96, 97. Ralph Wilson had a great opportunity to put together the greatest DEs in history on the same field. This was my greatest regret from those days. Add Deion to this also we could of been the greatest dynasty of all time. Ralph let his pockets get in the way of greatness.

Nick Foles is going nowhere...

I'm guessing u don't think we have a major hole at QB. QB is the mother of all holes for us its been that way since Kelly. As long as mangament keeps putting other positions ahead of QB we will be a middling organization. -

Taylor never had anything close to a great season either that's what game managers are. If u think being 30th every yr at passing isn't bad then i guess we just see the position in a different way. I want my QB to throw for yds not run for them. -
Nick Foles is going nowhere...

Never compare TT to anyone that can make passes. In that Championship/Superbowl he had 2 gms that TT can never ever do. Matter of fact TT only has 1 300yd passing performance in his career and it took overtime to get that done vs the 32nd ranked D. Please TT is garbage. -

I guess this all depends on who they can get for bkup. They get a Bradford or Bridgewater they can trade Foles easily. -

Good work on this. I would cut Holmes because he's trash as a player. -
Question on draft strategy
NastyNateSoldiers replied to GreggTX's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yea he hired the guy that ended up dismissing him this is a shame because i believe if Mcd let Whaley do his job they would of been a great combo. I don't like Mcd personel decision making skills especially on the offensive side of the ball. I never said Whaley has no blame in what happened but its obvious he didn't want Rex as a coach. Rex D did not fit the talent we had on that side of the ball. Dareus is a prime example of not fitting the scheme although he played well as a nose tackle he was a better fit in the 4-3 . Dareus playing nose put him in a bad situation. The nose is not a play making position its a sacrifice to play that role so others can flourish. But getting paid what he was getting it wasn't fit value wise. -
Question on draft strategy
NastyNateSoldiers replied to GreggTX's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Robey was outright released. My point is Whaley brought in plenty talent and u can see that all over the playoffs ex Bills everywhere . What u have to admit is he never truly had a chance as a Gm never got to hire the coaches he wanted to run this team in his image. Whaley was also very high on Mahomes and Watson one can wonder did something happen on draft day that lead to his dismissal. -
Question on draft strategy
NastyNateSoldiers replied to GreggTX's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Whaley sized holes not fair at all did Whaley tell Mcd to cut or trade talented players that all ended up being part of winning teams and not only that they all played pivotal roles in those teams success. Watkins- Although he didn't put up big numbers he played a huge role for the Rams taking on double teams and creating space for Gurley, Woods and Kupp to flourish. Nickel Robey - Was the top rated slot corner in the NFL and everytime i watched the Rams he was making plays. Marcell Dareus- it took him some time to adjust but the Jags went from 31st against the run the first half of season to 7th in the second half . Plus we seen what he did in the postseason. Rags - Was a starter for a playoff team didn't really have a great season but essentially was a rookie . Graham, Darby, need i say more then Superbowl champs. I guess they fit there culture nicely. Whaley brought in plenty of talent for the Bills to bad he never got to hire his coach or draft his QB. He was never given the control he needed. I think its unfair to be critical of his performance. Btw the last draft and free agency we had was run by his scouting staff and personel guys. So lets see what Beane can do with his extra 2pks in the top of the draft. -
