This just shows that holes can be filled in many ways. Most people like to mention Brady in the 6th meaning we can find a QB late in the draft. I agree with that concept but only if those same people start mentioning u can find a great player at any pt in the draft .

I agree with u 100% . The arm talent part is very important. When to put touch on a ball is not a thought its a reaction its natural. Allen is definitely not a natural passer. When it comes to Mahomes the only thing people should compare is the arm strength. But when it comes to being a passer there is really no comparison at all. Mahomes is a Gunslingers Gunslinger yes the system he ran at Texas Tech was easy but the passes he made were as complicated as it gets. Mahomes knows when to power it in they're or throw it with touch over the Lbers and under the Safeties. He can throw from a variety of platforms and put the ball where it needs to be. Allen is not even close to Mahomes in my opinion and people should stop mentioning them in the same way. The Bills made a huge mistake not taking Mahomes last yr . Mcd wanted to help his buddy Reid out. So he gave him what we could of had . Yes some will say how bout Tre White well could of traded up for him at 27 or 28 and got him. Teams were trading bk into late first for very cheap. Yes we could of had our cake and eaten it to.

The prb is in 2016 his comp % was less then last yr even though he had a better team in 16. I'm not crazy about stats but what i see is a total lack of anticipation skills and a lack of arm talent he cant throw in levels consistently. He's a project with great upside but that's always tricky that word upside u hardly ever see the player reach that peak. At #12 i would see yea u can make that pk but trading up is absolutely insane.

Shaquem Griffin - Linebacker UCF
NastyNateSoldiers replied to I'm Spartacus's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I agree but i also think alot of teams feel this way about taking him in the 5th . If we want him we got to get him in the 4th or maybe even at #96 in the 3rd. I want this kid he's gonna be a beast . Shaq plays like a man possesed . He has a non stop motor. He even know how to use his nub to create fumbles. I love this kid. He will fit perfectly with the band of misfits that Mcd wants on this team. -

I think Mcd has a position for him they'll put him in the Shaq Thompson role which is a hybrid WLB/SS . -
I really hope this is the case but i think we need to pump the brakes on Beane brilliance. The man hasn't even had his first draft yet . His trades are arguable whether he did well or not and his adds in free agency really weren't that impressive. I know he said he told his guys to hold him back if he overpays. I guess they were sleeping when he signed a run stuffer for 10mil per and Murphy for 7mil after missing the yr with major injuries and a performance enhancing suspension. Not to mention he brought bk those scrub RBs Cadet and Jones and the signing of Kaelin Clay left alot to be desired.

Man if i had a dime for everytime sometime talked bout Brady going in the 6th rd. What people dont realize is that there's fantastic players drafted in every part of the draft for every position. Matter of fact the postional players are found much more often then QB's late in the draft. Why doesn't anyone ever mention Antonio Brown in the 6th or Arian Foster UDFA i mean i can go on for hours about the great players at any position that went late in the draft or even undrafted. The HOF is loaded with these guys. If anything this gives more credence to trading up for a QB. For every Brady, Warner or Romo there's ten guys from each position that has performed at a all star or even hof level.

Wait and trade to 6-10 range. Preferably 7 or 8

Yea to Hell with the most important position in sports .

Let's say we take Mayfield at #7

As long as there willing to pay to get where we are why not. Also depends on who's on the board at #22 if a player we had rated highly is there we just take him. -
Richie Incognito Retires Via Twitter - Now Confirmed
NastyNateSoldiers replied to Virgil's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think he was living up to his draft status his first 2 yrs. Especially in 2016 he was really good . Maybe Castillo doesn't like him much but now that were going bk to power he can slide right bk in at RG -

QB outlooks and Comparisons

Looks like u worked very hard on this but comps are pretty outlandish. Darnold upside Luck Lamar upside Vick Rosen = Ryan Mason = Cousins -
Love that it appears we have a strategy...

The hiring of Rex killed Whaley. Whaley will get a 2nd chance like Rick Speilman and he'll do a great job with his new team. -
Not to many people mention this but Brady was a game manager for a good 4/5yrs in the beginning of his career. He was carried by the running gm and Defense they had that was allowed to maul wrs on nearly every play. It wasn't until the NFL changed there rules to suit offensive football that Brady started to really put up big numbers. Before that he was putting up average stats. Brady is a product of the system in more ways then one. I'm not trying to take away from his greatness but without the rule changes and the illegal pk/rub routes they ran for nearly 4yrs he wouldn't be half the QB he is without them.

With the 12th Pick Bills select
NastyNateSoldiers replied to USABuffaloFan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Please don't compare Mayfield to Jackson completely different players. I realize u were trying to make a pt but its just not fair to Mayfield he's a top notch passer that's so accurate he hardly misses his target. Btw i got something for your argument. QB'S have passed the ball from shotgun over 80% of the time last yr. -

Interesting Trade-Down Scenario
NastyNateSoldiers replied to Domdab99's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I would love if they can trade up swap to 7 or 8 for a 2nd #53 and 3rd next yr . Then turn around and trade our #22 for 33 & 35 from Cleveland. That's leaves us with #7 Mayfield QB #33 Rashaan Evans MLB #35 Sony Michel RB #55 Harrison Phillips DT #65 Mike Gieski TE #96 James Washington WR #121 Dante Pettis WR #166 Shaq Griffen WLB -
I'm not sure if its 2004 but it's definitely not 2011 . Ponder, Locker and Gabbert i had them all as bad prospects. To be honest u can't even compare them at all to this class. First off they didn't even come close to the body of work that these guys have nor do they have the physical traits as far as being pure passers . At the end of the day i do agree that not all of the top 4 will be franchise level QB's. I think 2 maybe 3 are very possible.

20 Year Debate: Carucci in 1998 - Head vs. Arm
NastyNateSoldiers replied to BigBuff423's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I believe this is the gold star of QB debates. The mental part of playing the position in my opinion far outweighs the physical even though u do need to have adequate arm strength to make all the throws. The problem is most of the mental side can't be found during the lead up to the draft. Yes during meetings teams can see if the prospect can absorb plays and break them down on the white board. But i believe the mental goes above and beyond that . Is the mental the "it" factor? I believe it is and this is where that internal clock comes into play having the natural timing, vision & recognition to diagnose everything during a single play. Being able to read a defense pre and post snap and being able to adjust in a split second to find the open wrs. It can not be overstated how important this is. If u look threw out the history of the great QB's u will find they all have the "it" factor and not some amazing super arm . Montana, Brady & Peyton these guys didn't have cannons they had awareness. At the end of the day u need to have both the mental and physical but the mental part far outweighs the physical in my opinion.
