Boogie wasn’t the highest rated player on the board in general some draftniks had him as 3rd/4th rd pick. He was a guy McD wanted that was McD pick and it was a horrible pick at the time and still is a horrible pick. Beane needs to have full control of the draft and address both sides of the ball equally. If u look at our drafts most of the higher rd pks are spent on the defense especially on the dline . The problem with that is we’re not getting a influx of young talent on the Oline, Wrs and other positions of the defense such as safety Hyde and Poyer are getting old we need to have there replacements in house. U can add RB to the list of Beane sucks at drafting as well.

No hindsight I actually thought at that time the Bills were going to draft Humphrey. Humphrey should of been a first rd pick . If u wanna talk about the KC game in the playoffs our interior Oline got there asses kicked as well. We couldn’t run block or pass block. The point is McD uses to much assets on our defense while leaving our offense out to dry especially on the Oline it’s an imbalance that needs to be addressed.

We’ve been overdoing drafting Dlineman recently last yr we could of drafted Creed Humphrey over Basham . Humphrey is a top 3 center in the game right now and at the time was a no brainer pick over Basham. McD most of overruled Beane in the draft room because double drafting DEs in first 2rds is borderline insanity especially when the previous yr we used our highest Pk and Epenesa.

I woke up when this exact same thing on my mind we need to sign someone asap if Morse is out long term JC Tretter - Is available he’s retired but is finally healthy and I believe a team like the Bills can pry him out of retirement. Matt Paradis - Paradis is also now healthy coming off a torn ACL and looking to get back in the league . Darryl Williams, Erick Flowers and Bob Massie - All 3 of these guys are tackle gaurd flex players and all 3 are upgrades over Quessanbury . These guy are also options if the Bills want to move Bates to center .

So this team has hardware to show for there semi success? U bring up 13secs like it’s a patch we wear on our shirts. U realize Singletary had 26yds on 10 Carrie’s in that game vs the Chiefs? Maybe if we had a bigger better back we can actually be talking about a Super bowl victory instead of bringing up that painful 13 secs vs the Chiefs. I have a question why do u think having or wanting a better RB means we’re gonna lose our identity somehow or that we’ll become some running team? U realize there’s over 60 plays in a game right? Allen can’t throw on all of them ? I won’t mind seeing him throw 35-38 times and we run it 22-25 . Now that’s balance and we won’t win titles unless we find that balance

U don’t believe the lack of balance has nothing to do with the caliber of back we have on this roster ? If Singletary was a Kamara type or even Pierce caliber back u don’t think those guys would get 17-20 touches a week on this squad. What amazes me is the Bills never really committed to Singletary but at the same time never really brought in anyone that can steal his job. Yes they blew pks on Moss and Cook maybe that should tell everything we should know about Beane ability to scout at that position. How effective are they running to the outside because I don’t see it on sweeps or pitch outs on true outside the tackles runs. The play usually starts between the tackles then Singletary bounces outside once he reaches the 2nd level.

The reason I said that is because an elite back is probably the only type of back this team would truly feature. I would take a guy like D’Onta Foreman any day over Singletary but I don’t think the Bills would use him correctly. A back like Foreman would do wonders for this team if giving the opportunity. Singletary has 1 100yd rushing performance in over the 2+ seasons if u think he’s the answer u have no football acumen.

Scoring from inside the 5 twice doesn’t mean your a good back. Singletary is a front runner back when he gets to the 2nd level he does well and in using his feet to make sharp cuts but that’s all he is. He hardly ever gets the tough yds we are horrible on short yardage situations. He also never in his l career wore down the opposing defense. He’s a JAG a maybe even worse then a JAG in my opinion. Singletary is a good backup RB a change of pace guy that’s it.

Btw it wasn’t just needing to be elite at the position the type backs we have are not chain movers . The Pats had big strong backs during there championship runs guys like Corey Dillion, Ant Smith and Lagerette Blount. I’ll take any of those caliber backs on this team right now.

Patriots as well as the Rams we’re a balanced team they ran the ball better then the Bills do now. Btw u ever hear of Antione Smith or Corey Dillion ? I didn’t know we have power backs on this roster that can do what those guys can. Please never again compare our sht show backs to anything Pats had in there dynasty yrs or the Rams championship team from last yr . At least there teams had some balance to it .

Your getting lost in the stats when u take a closer look nobody sees more light boxes then Singletary for last 3 yrs he should be much better and he’s horrible in short yardage situations which stops drives. The reason they don’t feature him is because he’s not good enough plain and simple.

I’ve been a fan of this team for over 35yrs I’ve never seen such bad running backs . This team is to Josh centric and it will never stop until we get a primo back. Having a a great back will make this team unstoppable and would relive pressure off Josh the Oline & Wrs . People will say Singletary is good enough but he’s not . He doesn’t have the skill set to make defenses pay for playing 2 high safeties with 6 man boxes he’s also not strong enough to get the tough yards and last but not least he’s definitely not good enough to have the faith in the coaches to truly be a featured back. The proof is in the pudding so to speak. Some want to jump to conclusions and blame the Oline but Singletary doesn’t have the speed to consistently challenge the outside and break off long runs defenses know this since he’s limited his running lanes are funneled to between the tackles and it’s makes it very hard for the Oline to open holes when the defense know where he’s running. Sorry fellas we ain’t getting it done this yr I feel sorry for Josh the kind of pressure they put on him to be a star on every play it’s unmatched in this leagues history. Even Brady and Peyton had great backs for the majority of there careers . They didn’t have to be the everything on there offenses they had balance .

I’m not saying blow it up I’m just saying we need an elite back to take pressure off of Josh.

While there at it scan every practice squad for a real running back. I’m tired of these twig looking backs we got there hot garbage.

Barkley was coming off a major knee surgery and wasn’t himself the line they have now is adequate at best . I’m surprised u didn’t also mention the All Pro QB and Wrs the Giants have oh yeah I forgot they don’t have one.

Stats can be deceiving I know what I see and it’s a running back room that really isn’t talented enough for defenses to truly respect them. When all your really good at is running between the tackles it’s gonna make it hard on your Oline to block. Everyone just wants to blame the Oline and use fancy stats in doing so but there’s way more to the equation then just stats . If the Bills can make a trade for an elite back like Barkley or Hunt u will see the difference it would have on this team . Especially in the playoffs even games get tight and the weather can be awful.

I wish he dropped that int vs Tenn as well we lost JP on that play .

They have a very tough schedule coming up after they play the Bears they have the Pack, Ravens and Jags . If the Giants are 2-5 by the deadline look for them to unload Barkley for a couple pks. I would have no problem giving them a 2nd and 5th . Barkley and Allen would be a lethal combo for teams to contend with.

U know why there’s no room to run up the middle right because defenses don’t respect Singletary or Moss ability to threaten the outside with consistency. RB is not a cookie cutter position some guys actually make a huge difference because of there abilities.

There’s a reason they don’t commit it’s either he’s not talented enough or he can’t handle the workload. I believe it’s a little bit of both.

Outstanding is averaging 3.5 yds per carry on the yr facing light boxes 65% of the time? i hate how people want to blame just the Oline for the bad running back play without truly breaking it down our backs are slow and can’t threaten the outside with consistency which makes life miserable on our Oline because the defense knows when we run most likely it’s between the tackles. We need a back that can challenge be defense and make teams pay for these light 6 man fronts they employ against us at will.

I agree we need to make a Rams type move and make a trade near the deadline for a true #1 RB . I’m hoping Giants keep losing now until then and Barkley could be had for a 2nd rd pick.

Calm down UKBills just a week ago we were trashing the Titans and that was after taking the Champs to the shed and unloading a whipping on them. We just had the most miserable week injury after injury depleted our team of there depth and we still should of won in Miami by double digits. This team will bounce back once we get healthy. The only thing I want to see them do now is make a trade for an elite RB this team needs that in the worse way.

It’s obvious the Bills don’t want to commit to Singletary if they haven’t by now it will never happen. We need to make a Rams type move and trade for an elite back . At this point I won’t care if they gave a team a 1st for a elite back . Hopefully the Giants keep losing from now to trade deadline and they trade us Barkley for a 2nd and 4th rd pk. I don’t care if he’s gonna be a free agent next yr if it helps us win the chip.
