  1. Thats a cute thing to say but, very clearly, you do.
  2. I am a little surprised that it didn't come up during the Vick saga, but there are cultural differences in attitudes toward animals. Lets just say that in many areas of the world dogs aren't little fur babies to be kissed on the mouth and share a bed with the owner. While many of us, myself included, find animal fighting to be abhorrent there were a handful of players who basically said "whats the big deal, they're just dogs". He went to prison for running an interstate gambling ring. If I recall correctly the animal cruelty factor was a kicker that only contributed to a slightly longer sentence for the gambling offense. Well, take it up with Websters because adversity isn't qualified by whether it is self inflicted or a result of external factors.
  3. What do you call losing your $20 million signing bonus and going from a mansion to federal prison?
  4. Hes so bad that you completely forgot that his backups in Buffalo dont even look like NFL linebackers let alone an upgrade and we have a glaring hole at MLB.
  5. You and Bill Cosby have that in common. Until anyone can point me to an instance where something was NOT what it, in fact, WAS, then "it is what it is" remains the most worthless arrangement of words in the history of written and oral communication.
  6. This would be the story book ending. Jason Peters comes home to where it all started for him. He converts back to Tight End and wins the starting job from Kincaid. He catches the game winning touchdown to win Super Bowl LVII. Ralph rises from the grave to hand JP a huge bag of cash. Russ Brandon is publicly flogged. All is forgiven.
  7. Perhaps. But he was busted and he did real time for it. The rich and famous usually avoid consequences but Vick paid his debt to society.
  8. Floundering is a better term. SI is to sports what Ames is to shopping. Totally irrelevant. CNN replaced SI with Bleacher Report. I doubt anyone under the age of 25 has even heard of SI. SI is basically just a memory of time spent sitting in @teef's waiting room before a root canal. Do they even do a swimsuit edition anymore?
  9. I was a fan of OJ before it was cool (1995). Most people probably dont remember his role as Nordberg in the arthouse film The Naked Gun.
  10. I don't give much credit to getting the first overall pick in the draft correct. OJ was a no brainer. Bruce similarly was a cant miss prospect. Kelly was the Bills second draft pick of 1983. Props for getting the pick right eventually. Doesn't hurt to have Marino and Kelly on the board at 14 for a QB needy team. All 3 players were college stars, with major production, in major conferences. Beane moved way up to take the 3rd QB selected in the draft. Allen was not a star with huge production. He was a player with a spotty record in the Mountain West drafted purely on potential. All draft profiles had Allen as a major project, a major risk. The pick defied all known laws of math or some such bull#### according to draft "experts". If you miss on that pick you probably dont get another GM job. That pick transformed the franchise.
  11. I think McDaniel is a better OC than Dorsey. I still don't buy him as a head coach.
  12. I had him as shooting himself twice in the back of the head and then stuffing himself inside his own suitcase. A classic Russian suicide.
  13. We beat the Jets by a combined score of 37-32 last year playing Mike White and Marcy D'Arcy. Remember when Marcy "got that dog in him"? That was an annoying 2 weeks.
  14. Yes, they're better than us. The same way the they were "better" than us last year. And like like last year I expect we win more games than the "better" team.
  15. I will be there. All arrangements made.
  16. Joe Marino, Sal, CoverOne and others have been giving Van Demark high praise all through camp. He has looked more than serviceable according to people who know a lot more than me, for whatever its worth.
  17. Rex took their socks if they committed penalties.
  18. Jason Biggs lives somewhere in my zip code. Not taking any chances with known pastry rapists on the loose.
  19. He's watching at a level you couldn't possibly comprehend. No one watches harder than him. You and me, we're just casuals. Drinking our beer, eating our snacks, checking fantasy scores, talking with friends, getting up to use the restroom. This dude locks his whole family in the closet to eliminate distractions, has trained his bladder to go 24 hours without breaks, and does not blink from opening kickoff until the final whistle has been blown.
  20. Don't be a prude. Be happy for my prospect of sexual relations. Here's some reading for you. https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/29615286/jake-fromm-looks-make-amends-elite-white-people-text
  21. A hearty round of applause for Jacob Fromm. Today is truly a banner day for elite whites! Honey, warm up some milk and bust out the saltines because we're celebrating tonight! If all goes well, I'll be pushing the twin beds together about an hour from now if you catch my vernacular.
  22. Dawkins WAS an above average LT. Since middle to late last year hes been looking like an average tackle. On Saturday he looked decidedly below average. Hes on the decline in his career and with his conditioning issues I dont expect it will be a graceful decline.
  23. A year later and I'm not convinced that Shakir deserves a roster spot. Gotta know the playbook if you want reps and you better catch the ball when thrown to you. Epenesa still isn't a starting material. He needed two years to transform his body from a plodding power rusher to an undersized speed rusher or something like that. Dorian has reportedly looked lost in practice at WLB. Forget about MLB for now. Rookies who are ready to play have played. Shakirs, Epenesas, and undersized linebackers get to watch and learn.
