  1. 1. Depends on your vacuum sealer. There are chamber sealers designed to seal wet items or even liquids. You can sous vide soup with a chamber sealer. Problem is they are quite pricey relative to your standard vacuum sealer. Some newer vacuum sealers claim to work well with wet items but I hear they do not take all the air out during the seal. The quick fix is to freeze the liquid you want to portion into your bags. 2. You don't need to use the wifi/blue tooth but its nice when you want to hang outside or get away from the kitchen and check on temp and time remaining. The anova app is also a helpful guide for cook temps and times and basic recipes but you don't need to use wifi/Bluetooth at all. 3. Your best bet for times/temps is to search online. Seriouseats.com is my go to. Modernist Cuisine is another invaluable resource. Pretty pictures too if you've got $500 laying around.
  2. I love a good meltdown thread. I'M SO F#$%^ING DONE WITH THIS TEAMMMMM!!!!1!!1!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  3. I know that dude. He's from Rochester.
  4. I hope he returns to form and wins a few tournaments. He better get his ass to Perkins and start picking up skanks. Get his head right. Reclaim that winning state of mind.
  5. A lot of things seem ironic when you don't know what ironic means.
  6. Great stuff. Perspective is tough since many of us don't follow the rest of the league even half as closely as we do the Bills. I remember looking at some stats around week 6 and seeing that San Diego and Oakland who were something like 1-5 and 5-1 at the time, had point differentials of +10 and +5, respectively. 5 points separated Oakland from being 1-5, meanwhile San Diego was 3 points away from 3-2. That's the margin between fighting for a bye and scraping for a wild card. Buffalo isn't among the elite, but when healthy I think they can compete with anyone that isn't New England (*fack), but they're also inconsistent and banged up enough to lose to anyone in the right week at the moment.
  7. That aspiring U-Boat commander better turn his house into a brothel over the weekend so he can earn the money to repair the car before his parents get home or he might not get into Stanford.
  8. Everyone laughed at Fergy when he started a thread about this very topic regarding the NFL. Time for a Fergy apology thread.
  9. Nearly every passing play it seems. As a fan, I have the internal clock going. After 3 seconds in the pocket, that ball needs to be out of his hand unless he's going for it all. Way too often after 4 or 5 seconds he's either getting sacked, chased out of bounds for a loss, or throwing a dump off to a stationary target who gets killed after the catch. Losing yards because he cannot throw the ball away is completely inexcusable. Even when he makes the right reads he's still a half second behind which is why our WRs have about 5 total yards after the catch on the season. I like the guy, but I don't see any progress this year.
  10. Honestly, I think it was rather reckless (rogue?) to roll the dice on bringing back Sammy at the expense of Lawson who was looking good these past few weeks.
  11. Go down to the flats and see the inspiration for every Scooby Doo ghost town, haunted carnival on the docks. If you're lucky, the river will catch on fire again. Contract HIV while you're there!
  12. If they bring back Jaylon Smith does that mean they have to deactivate Romo again?
  13. When I run out of gum, sometimes I chew foil or even broken glass. I trimmed my toenails with a blowtorch the other day when I couldn't find the dremmel tool. I ran out of aftershave a few weeks ago so I'm using a proprietary blend of lemon juice, Dave's insanity sauce, and lighter fluid. My neighbors pitbull shat in my yard again so I bit him.
  14. Luckily for him, he's got a rather cavalier attitude toward failure.
  15. This a thread for tough guys and hard scrabbled men. Why don't you and the other girls here take your new age, granola eating, participation trophy, tampax carrying, vagina monologues feelings festival back to the ladies room where you can all giggle about how fun it is to sit when you pee, and leave this thread for us scotch for breakfast, shaving with a chainsaw, only cried during Ol' Yeller, grizzly bear wrasslin', emotions surgically removed men, how bout' it?
  16. This is the toughest thread on TBD. Its a thread for real men. Not for greenhorns.
  17. Dropped? The ball was thrown 3 yards too deep. Tyrod didn't set his feet well enough and overthrew Clay.
  18. The PC term is Canadian Americans.
  19. I think your opinions regarding some new age guru and the qualifications of NFL medical staff are utterly baseless and should be categorically dismissed as the nonsense that they are. Clear enough?
  20. Somewhere in Austria there's an angry young man who just got rejected from Art school that will change the world too. That's some Grade A B.S. you're shoveling.
  21. What bouts of losing has Pittsburgh suffered? They have had 4 losing seasons since 1990, and 3 0.500 seasons. That's 19 winning seasons, 16 playoff appearances, and 2 Super Bowl victories over the last 25 years. It really takes some brass balls to "stay the course" during a run like that.
  22. You mean teams that are winning consistently don't clean house and shake things up for the fun of it?!?!? Such insight. This topic has been hashed to death so let me sum it up for you. Continuity is definitely a byproduct of winning. You don't fix what isn't broke. Winning, however, is not necessarily a byproduct of continuity and lack of continuity does not necessarily guarantee losing.
