Football Czar for off season
Jauronimo replied to Buffalo Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yes! This is one of my favorite threads every time it comes back up. Clearly, a Czar is the way to go. Why every team hasn't figured this out by now is just beyond me. Now, we all know the Czar will possess infinite football wisdom and be generally infallible but what other qualities should we be looking for in a Czar? I'm thinking hes at least 6'7" and has a big bushy beard. He should be able to hypnotize you with his eyes and crazy dancing skills. First order of business should be to purge the boyars. Looking at you McD and Beane. A Czar really is panacea for a franchise. -

A measured take on McDermott
Jauronimo replied to Pine Barrens Mafia's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Those trying to judge McDermott or this front office after a mere 10 games simply do not understand the Process. The Process was never going to bear fruit this year. There are too many hold overs from the previous regime. Too many vestiges of the old way of doing things. Until all these people are purged and replaced with new people who are born into the Process, uncorrupted by the old ways, the Process cannot truly take hold. The Process will take at least a generation and cost thousands of lives, but it will be glorious. We must not lose sight of the goal and in the meantime maintain our patience and focus on the first of many 5 year plans in this Great Leap Forward to winning. #Process -
A measured take on McDermott
Jauronimo replied to Pine Barrens Mafia's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Benching your starter while occupying a Wild Card spot in favor of a rookie who clearly isn't ready to play and basically forfeiting a pivotal AFC matchup is all part of the #Process. McD works in mysterious ways. Its sooooooo great to FINALLY have a plan!! -
The "crucifixion" of McDermott must seem odd to a certain contingent of fans who canonized McBeane and the Process after he traded away all their favorite whipping boys. McDermott thought Peterman was ready to start and gave the Bills a better chance to win than Tyrod. When you bench your starter in a playoff race and basically forfeit a game your judgment may get called into question. Beyond personnel moves, I find major issues with the weekly game plan. If your plan is to cover the Chargers #1 WR with a combination of Humber and Lorax just because he's lining up in the slot, then you're going to have a bad time. Even after getting torched by Allen it still took a full half of football to even consider putting a DB on Allen. So who gets tasked with covering Allen? Leonard Johnson which is less of a mismatch I suppose, but still a total mismatch. But hey, at least we shut down Benjamin and the two Williams and kept the rushing yards under 200.

Wasn't that the rationale for starting Peterman yesterday? We have learned nothing.
-
How many INTs could Peterman throw in an entire game and is there a number high enough to record it?
-
Peterman has a birthmark on his ass the shape of Celine Dion. Is this a sign? N. Peterman is an anagram of permanent, as in “permanent” solution? N. Peterman is also an anagram of rape t(e)n men and repent man. Coincidence?? Don’t turn your back on him.

Well maybe, but does the guy believe in midgets? That's the real issue here.

Nathan Peterman to Start this Week.
Jauronimo replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I love it, but can you explain this post for all the dumb people? -
Is it true that Peterman is sexually un-harassable? I heard he sends dick pics to Brett Favre and groped Harvey Weinstein, but why? Is he gay? Am I gay?!?!? Linguists say 'Peterman' is an onomatopoeia because its derived from the sound produced when the word is spoken aloud. What the f@#$ is an onomatopoeia? They say he played a robot Bobby Fisher in a game of mahjong and won. I’m not impressed by that but I should be, right?

Nathan Peterman is not only the biggest thing to happen to the franchise in recent history, but he just might change the course of history as we know it. But what do we actually know about the man? Let us explore the Peterman Factor. Has he developed chemistry with his receivers in limited practice reps? Does Peterman believe in the quick timing, west coast offense? Is it true that Peterman has never been confused? Peterman reportedly stared at the eclipse with binoculars and didn’t blink once, but why?? Peterman is 6’5” tall, does he even believe in midgets and how far can he throw a midget dressed like a little cowboy? Peterman is a better athlete than most people think but can he ice skate backwards and how many triple axels can he pull off in a row? In college Nathan Peterman was rumored to have eaten more hot dogs than Joey Chestnut but how many billiard balls can he fit in his mouth at one time and how is it more than 4? That seems impossible! Why are the ancient texts silent about Peterman? Did the Egyptians and Sumerians drop the ball? Is Peterman even his real name? Was he sent here to teach us how to love again? Should I leave my wife and devote my life to following the ways of NVP? Peterman spelled backward is Namretep. What does this even mean?!?! If I say Namretep into a mirror three times will Savior Peterman appear and murder me or will it open up a gate to another dimension??

More Peterman threads please. Do we have any pop warner games we can discuss? is there anything outside of football that is an indicator of Peterman's greatness? Can he play the cello? Does he know all the words to the Oscar Meyer Weiner song? I heard he's a real savant when it comes to math and can count an 8 deck draw. How does he take his toast? These are the things we should be exploring. I guess I'll do it myself.

I am amazed at how our fans have so eagerly eaten up all this talk of process and vision as if this is something totally unique to McBeane. No other front office has had a plan? They were all just winging it? Wandering around aimlessly making impulsive decisions with no coherent strategy? Let us not confuse poor execution with lack of a plan. Also, we are 9 games into the Process and realizing this front office's vision. McDermott and Beane talk about the Process and plan endlessly but can we wait a bit to see how this one gets executed before praising the #Process? Seeing how effortlessly McBeane got the average fan to buy into this idea that everything that happens, no matter how erratic, is part of some divine plan is really making me think again about starting a cult.

Is this the most drama-filled Bills season ever?
Jauronimo replied to CanadianFan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
2009 is a contender https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2009_Buffalo_Bills_season The 2009 disaster began in the offseason. It started in February when a clerical error led to the Bills being unable to trade Dockery and instead cut him to avoid paying his roster bonus. He was cut two years into a 7 year deal. That was quickly forgotten when T.O. signed and was given the key to the city and named mayor of Buffalo for life. Shuffling on the OL continued unabated as the Bills traded malcontent Jason Peters for some picks which they used to address recent vacancies in selecting Wood and Levitre. Other notable picks, Aaron Maybin and Jarius Byrd. Langston Walker was moved from right tackle where he was at least adequate to left tackle where he struggled. They cut Walker one week before the season started and KArl Malone's illegitimate son Demetrius Bell, who we would later learn is actually named Demetress, was promoted to starting LT. The Bills would go on to fire the OC Turk Schonert because his offense was too complicated, and promoted QB coach Alex Van Pelt to OC. Despite the total cluster f@#$ that was the offseason, the Bills were leading the Patriots in the final moments of the season opener on prime time until Leodis muffed a punt and gave them the ball game. Disgruntled fans demonstrated their displeasure by drawing a large phallus in McKelvin's yard with spray paint leading Kavika Mitchell to issue an open challenge and threat to any fans who venture on to his property. The Bills would go on to star in the worst football game ever played in a 6-3 loss to the Browns. To be continued... but Jauron would be fired mid season. Edwards lost the starting job to Fewell. Byrd was the word. Maybin was wreaking Mayhem from the sidelines. -
What's your reaction if Peterman is terrible this Sunday
Jauronimo replied to Steptide's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
If Peterman goes out and falls on his face, I will be disappointed. Peterman is a rookie and has had limited reps with the starters. I have no expectations for NVP given the circumstances. If the worst happens on Sunday I will be disappointed in McDermott and this front office, not Peterman. -

I get tested at least once every year. The part with the Q-tip stings a bit, but you can't be too careful. -
CTE Discovered in a Living Patient
Jauronimo replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Vindicated!! I started a thread years ago suggesting we test ALL current Bills players, free agents, and potential draft picks for CTE to mitigate our risk of lawsuits and potential Hernandez situations which could adversely effect the franchise in the future. As you might expect, I was roundly mocked by the unwashed masses here who wouldn't know a thing about the scientific method even if Bill Nye kicked them in the groin. Line up and apologize, jerks! -
I believe he was that guy who lost all his sheep. Probably died of a broken heart. Sheepless and alone. Like many Scotsman before him. RIP in peace, lil' pep.

So will I. That's no excuse.

What's on your Thanksgiving menu? Going traditional, alternative, fancy? I'm debating it still. Deciding between turkey roulade or "porchetta" for lack of a better word, but Mexican inspired with a mole sauce in lieu of gravy and some type of starch AND making a ton of wings and drinking a ton of beer.
