If anything he fought through injuries when he should have been sitting. "If it pops, it pops". Spoiler Alert: **** It popped ***** But not before he had 4 catches for 48 yards and a TD in the first half. https://www.espn.com/blog/buffalo-bills/post/_/id/21496/bills-sammy-watkins-on-calf-injury-if-it-pops-it-pops Sammy was a legit talent and a very good NFL player. He had the talent to be an all time great.

Bass struggling at minicamp (and now at training camp)
Jauronimo replied to Einstein's topic in The Stadium Wall
I lost confidence in him 2 games into his rookie season. Then I had big time confidence in him until last year where I lost it again. Its been a roller coaster. -
That isn't my thesis. Its a passing league and KC won in spite of having a weak WR room last year. WR was a weakness last year for us and until proven otherwise it remains a weakness in my opinion. I do like that we have most of the roles covered with this group. We have some size in Hollins, Coleman, and maybe Claypool. We have one real field stretcher in MVS, and Hamler, Claypool also have that ability. Shakir has the after the catch play making ability and I expect he and Kincaid to move the chains. The only role we don't have is one guy who is really good who can face #1 CBs, consistently get open, and beat man coverage. Turns out that role is pretty important.

And the biggest part of KC's 2023 WR AAV was paying MVS $10 million per year. Is our current WR room that much worse than the Chiefs 2023 because we only pay MVS $10.50 an hour? If we pay MVS $16 million this year do our odds of winning a championship improve?

Is it just me, or do some arguments here drag on ad nauseam?

I haven't seen anyone here repeat themselves repeat themselves. If anything, people here are too kind and patient. I'm not trying to gaslight you here but this is all in your head. I talk with most of the people on this board ever day and no one has shared an experience like yours. The people that agree with you, are they in the room with us now? -

You lack the vocabulary to fully comprehend just how wretched you semi-literates truly are. We would be living in a new Golden Age of peace and prosperity if the rest of you could craft a sentence without drooling all over yourselves. -

As it should. If we have to fight off autocorrect to spell Capaccio, not carpaccio, not cappuccino, but Capaccio correctly the least he can do is get Williams correct. -

Southwest added 5 flights for Bills away games
Jauronimo replied to zow2's topic in The Stadium Wall
I vastly prefer to fly United but Houston is a United Hub and that comes with perks. Southwest is generally the cheapest and quickest option to get from Houston to Buffalo and as long as they continue to offer meaningful savings I'll use SW once or twice per year. -

If anything, we mostly give up too quickly. I don't think we ever fully hashed out Flutie v Johnson and we barely scratched the surface on who was in the wrong in the Jason Peters standoff with the FO. -

I can half see it.

I've seen Josh compared to Vlade Divac, John Stockton, Steve Nash, Luka, Dirk, John Paxton, and Detlef Schrempf and all are valid in my opinion. I've even seen some comparisons of JA17 to Yao Ming and Jeremy Lin which I can kinda see in an abstract way. But this Jaylen Brown comparison is just absurd.

Ish is cursed. RIP in Peace Joe Burroughs

I completely agree. Saving 10 minutes on your drive to the stadium in the morning isn't worth staying in an area with absolutely nothing to see or do over a long weekend.
-
Be warned that the hotels in Buffalo are not the nicest places in the world. Lots of people recommend staying near the stadium but since you have more on your itinerary than just the game I would stay somewhere downtown. Most things of interest to you will be a quick drive from downtown and there are plenty of dining and drinking options which will be walkable. Book ASAP as rooms get pricey the weekend of home games.

AJ can make some plays but he doesn't have the speed, strength, or pass rushing tools to consistently win against OTs. I think he is who he is at this point. And thats fine, hes a solid NFL depth DE, but I don't expect him to elevate his game by leaps and bounds. Groot needs to stay healthy. The last two years he looked good early before suffering foot and ankle injuries and basically disappearing the second half of the season. Like last season, the early story in OTAs is that Groot "looks different". He has the physical potential to be game changing DE. We continue to hope that once he fills out that frame he will have the physicality to consistently win his matchups but there is more to the position. Can't find 2023 highlights, admittedly a small sample, but I notice few of his sacks are coming from beating his man off the edge. Looks like hes done damage against interior OL on stunts/twists and his length is great for clean up sacks when the QB has moved off his spot. This is consistent with my alcohol addled memory of watching Groot play to play. Those sacks still count but in order to be a game changer he needs to consistently win 1:1 matchups against OTs.

All Whites? After Labor Day?

Allen was missing Diggs deep all year. All year I was thinking its going to be ironic when Allen finally puts it on the money and its dropped. Allen's mechanics were shaky much of the year.

That is downright un-American. Capitalism unfettered on the upswing and socialized losses is the American way.

Sounds like you are arguing that hall of fame QBs and first tier DCs make a great head coach. Kyle Shanahan is a guy who can DEFINITELY win the big game.... Do we need a Doug Pederson? Maybe a Kubiak? Whats Gruden up to?
