  1. Tough week for El Presidente. First the Woodward book and now the Op Ed which echoes the general theme of the excerpts I've seen from Fear.
  2. I hear they do thing with some there. Hey eyyy ayyyy aye!
  3. Anyone else here because they thought Doc was starting a band?
  4. I would say hard drugs are anything I haven't tried yet.
  5. The Mario changed the narrative that no free agents will ever come to Buffalo and that Buffalo isn't serious about winning. Mario put up double digit sacks 3 out of 4 years with 43 sacks in 4 seasons. He single handedly beat the Packers. Hes 34th all time in career sacks ahead of some names like Cam Wake, McGinest, Tamb Hali, Trent Cole. But yeah, total bum. TBD's ideal player is a high motor try hard with marginal NFL talent earning vet minimum who was selected in the 5th round of the draft or later. The resentment for any player selected in the first rounds of the draft or making big guaranteed money is real.
  6. Well yeah, but how much of losing individual battles and getting dominated upfront was strategic vs. plain old suck?
  7. 13/27 165 yards, 1 TD, 2 INTs,1 fumble, 5 sacks
  8. Lets reframe the question. Said differently, would you rather go 0-16 or win the division? Not so easy now, is it?
  9. Isn't that what they all say?? "It was just a phase. It will never happen again. I've found religion now!"
  10. Wasn't that his nickname at Michelle Bachmann's Summer Christian QB Camp?
  11. What about that cricket board you were frequenting for a week or two?
  12. 155 Yards Passing, 2 INTs, 1 fumble lost, 1 TD, sacked 5 times. Damn, should have made the over under total QB turnovers.
  13. Week 1 Over Under
  14. I've done that as well and the results were great. I am curious as to how the big wing places manage to pump them out consistently awesome. Are they employing a double cook or do they just leave them in the fryer for 15+ mins?
  15. Outside of WNY most people's benchmark for wings is Buffalo Wild Wings. When I hear people from outside the WNY area talk wings, they focus more on sauces and flavor. There is less emphasis on how the wing is cooked and it shows. Coincidentally, I made some wings yesterday. 3 batches each with a twist: 8 wings with baking powder dry brine fried for 12 minutes; 8 steamed then fried; 8 Korean style with seasoned corn starch breading and a double fry. The combo cook/double fry were the best. I'm thinking a 12 min fry, a 20 minute rest, and a 5 minute fry is pretty ideal.
  16. The farther you get from WNY the probability of garbage wings increases. There are two places in the city of Houston that I think serve a halfway decent wing. I was home in Rochester not long ago and I went to three places in one night that were each better than what I get at even my favorite place in Houston.
  17. The book is 100% consistent with how I have pictured El Presidente and the inner workings of his administration.
  18. For the camaraderie and recipes.
  19. I firmly remember the Oilers benching their starters and going with their 4th string D before the heroic comeback started.
  20. Statutory would ya. Try the 90s.
  21. For the uninitiated, Sal Carpaccio is a cold dish comprised of raw moustache, pounded thinly, served with arugula, cracked black pepper and drizzle of lemon vinaigrette. Its the perfect start before the main event, a heaping plate of buscaglio e olio.
  22. Which is why its so confusing that most of them wind up in financial trouble after their careers are over. https://www.forbes.com/sites/leighsteinberg/2015/02/09/5-reasons-why-80-of-retired-nfl-players-go-broke/#55f9df4178cc How do such smart men with relevant degrees from top academic institutions find themselves broke at such an alarming rate unless that whole thing about being smart and having degrees is just bull ****?
  23. Yes. I think this game goes down with Reich and Comeback game against the Oilers. Instant classic and one we will be talking about 20 preseasons from now. I can't wait to tell my grandkids to put away their damn hand computers and get the f@$# of my shed.
  24. I agree. If I'm Beane and McDermott I take a stand and refuse to make cuts. Tell Goodell we are suiting up 96 guys on Sundays. What are they gonna do, shoot us?
  25. I like to think I'm pretty open minded. Gender fluid?; go for it. Trans cis bi but identify as a conservative Midwestern woman?; have a blast Sharon. Sexually attracted to trees?; tap some trunk. But your love of Hanson frankly disgusts me. Deviant stuff.
