  1. An unabashed, west coast, world traveling, self-satisfied, liberal academic that still doesn't know what his own post has to do with the one he's responding to??!?!? In that case, please accept my sincere apologies. The important thing here is not the content but that you exercised your right to post and that you feel very good about yourself. And you should, you unicorn man...manicorn?...yeah, MANICORN! Goodnight, Manicorn!! I believe in you!
  2. What does your post have to do with the post that you quoted? These are things that you should probably figure out before you start typing and definitely before you submit reply. I think I see what I'm working with here now. Soooo, YOLO!! am I right?? Git R Done, Tyrion. These colors don't run! My other car is a boat. A bad day of fishing is better than a good day of work, right? Keep honking, I'm reloading. What's the verbal equivalent of Calvin urinating on a Chevy? You da man!
  3. Now go back and read the post you originally quoted (likely for the first time) which concerned the season as a whole and McD's fate at the end of the year (hint: the context I'm referring to) and catch up with the rest of class. Try to think of posts not as stand alone expressions of your limited comprehension but as a dialogue and it may just come together for you.
  4. The post I quoted wasn't just talking about week 7. Context, brah. No choice in week 7 after months of poor choices at the QB position is a bad excuse.
  5. McD seriously risks losing the locker room if he puts Peterman out there again.
  6. That's exactly what they thought. And even after witnessing another dismal outing week 1 which should have erased any doubt about Peterman's ability to get the job done on Sunday they did nothing. Weeks went by. And now they're in a position where they may have to play Peterman and that's inexcusable in my opinion.
  7. Was Derek Anderson not available in August? Not buying it. Not signing a 3rd QB after trading AJM looks questionable. Keeping Peterman over AJM looks pretty dumb right now. Not signing a 3rd QB after Peterman picked up where he left off week 1 is inexcusable. No choice in week 7 is a joke.
  8. Doesn't have a choice? Going into the season with one QB and Peterman on the roster is a choice. Prepping for week 2 with one QB on the roster and Peterman is a choice. Prepping for week 3 with one QB on the roster and Peterman is a choice. Prepping for week 4 with one QB on the roster and Peterman is a choice. Waiting until week 5 to sign a second QB to the roster was a choice.
  9. What Peterman needs most is to be released from his contractual obligations to the Buffalo Bills so he can focus on being God's child rather than being defined by his play on the football field. Not unlike the trials of Job who was famously tested and then cut by the Bethlehem Bulls after it turned out he was just a trash football player. For all you godless heathens, the story goes God had bet on Job and the Bulls to cover the spread and when they got blown out, God McKelvin'ed his entire property and Kromer'ed the man's family.
  10. Do you have a time machine to go back to 1987 and just say "no" instead of smoking pot for the first time?
  11. I agree. The problem isn't Nate. Its the game plan. People like to key in on the turnovers but they miss an important factor hidden in the details. Advanced stats show Peterman gets picked off 11.4% this is well documented. That's 1 time for every 8.77 pass attempts. You don't have to be genius to see the answer is attempting 8 or fewer passes per game.
  12. I was 5 rows behind the Bills bench yesterday. Take it for what its worth, but I saw almost no clapping from McD all game. He's losing it.
  13. All payments are due in the form of oral gratification per the TSW terms of service.
  14. If they figured him out it must have been sometime after the game ended because they sure as f@#$ didn't figure him out before or during the game.
  15. No, I did not expect us to be good this year. I expected them to suck after watching the roster moves this offseason which is why I and many others are frustrated. Nothing was done to upgrade OL positions and little was done to replace Cog and Wood. Nothing was done to improve our skill positions and we started the season with Nathan f@#$ing Peterman as our starting QB.
  16. 1. The core of the roster was Whaley's guys. Starting QB, RB, TE, Dline. Those guys got this team to the playoffs. 2. Yes, like I said, Beane CHOSE to "shed" contracts all at once and created salary cap hell. The cap situation he inherited was fine. Dareus' was the only "bad" contract. Good thing we are paying 2 DTs this year to get gashed up the middle. 3. Beane signed two safeties 2 months before he was hired? That's a feat. Check your timeline. 4. See #2. Choice.. 5. We had plenty of cap space before it was sacrificed for dead cap in the name of the Process. I do not see your point.
  17. Completely wrong, as has been discussed multiple times here. 1. The Rex/Whaley roster got this team to the post season last year. 2. Cap problems were created by Beane. He chose a mountain of dead cap space in 2018. It was not forced on him. 3. Hyde, Poyer, Hughes, KW are absolutely NOT players selected by Beane or McDermott. 4. Team is less talented this year than they were last year. 5. Building a team in free agency hardly sounds like "doing it the right way for the future" but the Process works in mysterious ways. It all hinges on Allen. If he pans out then its all good. If not, total failure. As it stands, the league's 31st worst passing offense has taken a step back in 2018.
  18. Astros v Red Sox game 1 Saturday night. Should be a pretty solid night to be out in Houston.
  19. Most people are staying near the stadium for the game day convenience from what I've seen but theres nothing in that area. That said its an easy uber back to NRG after partying downtown or an easy uber to the tailgate on the morning of the game. Rates at downtown hotels look normal. We can guarantee 2 out of 3!! See you there.
  20. There isn't much of interest near the stadium but there's plenty worth checking out in and around downtown. I put together a big list of where to eat in another thread. Let me see if I can dig it up.
  21. Yes, 2000 Bagby is where we will be. The block party starts at 5PM Saturday night but I'm sure many of us will be out earlier. There are tons of bars in the area that are great for watching college ball too. Check out Little Woodrow's on Brazos a few blocks down. I'll be there. As @The Real Buffalo Joe mentioned, the Houston Bills Backers has a Block Party Saturday night at Christian's Tailgate 2000 Bagby Street on the edge of downtown. What part of town are you staying in?
  22. Incorrect. Most issues with deep frying are due to oil temp being too low as batch after batch gets dropped in the fryer without proper time for temps to rebound. Burnt skin and raw inside would be the tell tale sign for too hot, too fast. Rubbery skin is usually due to frying too low, not long enough, and wet chicken to begin with.
  23. I think it should be settled where each team chooses five players from their opponent to compete against in a Spelling Bee.
