What’s Your Most Memorable Bills Game?
Jauronimo replied to NoHuddleKelly12's topic in The Stadium Wall
That team wasn't the most talented but they were mostly entertaining to watch and easy to root for. Bunch of misfits and D3 guys at our skill positions. If Fitz hadn't broken his ribs and FJ not ended up on IR maybe they squeak into the last wild card. -

I've met these people and most of them would be great organ donors. -

In my line of work, our time sheets for client billing include a field for where the work is performed and taxes are adjusted accordingly. Not an issue for me since I don't travel much and when I do I lie about it and say I'm in Texas, but for others in the consulting field its a real factor. -

I am so conflicted on this issue. On one hand, our tax code has largely been shaped by lobbyists for the interests of corporations and the rich and powerful. On the other hand, my career is accounting adjacent and I need financial reporting standards and tax code to be as dense and silly as possible. But then I looked at how much I am paying in taxes this year... -

I know you didn't suggest the poor should pay more. It was a joke. From what little I know of tax receipts, this never ending income tax debate seems like a distraction as corporate tax collections as a percentage of total tax collection continues to decline. Since the great financial crisis of 2008, lower corporate tax has primarily funded share repurchase programs rather than capital expansion. Its a win-win for the wealthy who have most of their net worth in equity markets. Doesn't do much for the average joe 18 pack. While no one likes paying taxes, it remains true that the very wealthy have way more opportunities to exploit tax shelters than us regular folk. That not poor to not rich zone of wage and salary workers pays every cent owed. -

The Fitzmagic comeback against the Patriots in 2011. Going down 3 TDs early it looked like another drubbing was on its way as Brady and Belichick continued their dominance at the Ralph. Kicking the winning field goal at the 1 with no time left on the clock after a clutch drive was about as sweet as it gets. -

Those people earning under $30k a year need to start pulling their weight. Also, children. Why should those little bed wetters get a free pass? And don't even get me started on old people and the disabled. -
I'm really starting to love this WR room. We quietly got better

Defenses are really going to have to play their CB1 on our WR3. We are creating mismatches all over the field. Talk about a waste of resources but what's the alternative? Bench your CB1 of course. Teams are going to run out of CB3s and CB2s trying to cover our guys. Its pretty brilliant actually. Beane always 4 steps ahead. -

I was thinking Kiko Alonso but Augie is no spring chicken. -
I believe some of the anti virus providers have identity theft tools which can screen for compromised passwords, leaked personal data, etc. Intuit and TurboTax offer something. Worth looking into. This case is unusually aggressive and high effort for a phishing scam. Normally there aren't so many follow ups. Did you respond to any messages or answer any calls?
-
This is a phishing scam. They send out nonsense and see who responds. Best thing you can do is continue to ignore them. If they reveal any personal information then call the police. Chances are some of your info, email and phone, were leaked in a hacking event and are now available on the dark web. This is probably a bunch of slaves in Myanmar, China, India, or Russia sending you empty threats.

How much did you pay them?

I'm calling bull####. Drunks are much better singers. She had none of the confidence or conviction of a drunk. She was clearly on something else. -
True. But also there aren't nearly as many geniuses mopping the floor as hollywood may have us believe. As much as we all love the idea of out of touch corporate suits making boneheaded decisions that the grunts on the floor could have easily avoided with their aww shucks hands on chicken fried know how, I don't think thats generally accurate either. Its the blind leading the blind out there. But I am more decisive, aggressive, louder and, most importantly, taller so I get to make the lower-upper middle management decisions, as is the natural order of things.

Superior intelligence isn't a prerequisite for working in any industry. Plenty of NFL execs have little to no football experience prior to taking entry level jobs with a team. The ability to work 100 hour weeks for $22k a year is what seems to qualify you for a position that can one day lead to running an NFL team. That or being a coach's son. But money attracts talent and I also find it hard to believe that a multi billion dollar organization is run by guys who are negligibly more informed than the typical message board dweller despite spending an entire career immersed in the sport.
-
Awkwardly phrased but he said "smart about football". You don't have to be a genius to be more knowledgeable about the NFL and football in general as an NFL coach/scout/exec than the typical TBD poster. The access to inside information alone essentially ensures any scout/exec/coach knows more about the game and league than even the most diligent fan. Even the sharpest fans are still making assessments without the benefit of key information like the play call, knowing players personally, etc.

Boomer Esiason speculating Devonte Adams will be traded.

If Adams plays for us he won't have to worry about Rapp taking his head off....outside of practices. -

I would argue that the probability of something that has already occurred is greater than the probability of something that might occur. Different charges for things that have happened vs things that could have happened seems appropriate. -

I don't know man. I saw Stonehenge in the early 80s in Cleveland and it was way smaller than I imagined. Not at all impressed, especially not after a supposed monolith was nearly crushed by a dwarf. Glad you enjoyed it though. -

SI Underrated player: Khalil Shakir, wide receiver
Jauronimo replied to Saxum's topic in The Stadium Wall
Without Diggs on the field there is an extra defender somewhere. No one on this roster commands bracket coverage besides maybe MVS who I expect sees few snaps per game. Maybe its a spy, maybe its a safety that gets to play center field. In any event, its not a positive development for this offense despite what some posters have claimed. The Buffalo Bills have shown no ability to consistently get backs involved in the passing game since Chan Gailey was head coach.
