Trump The Divider
Jauronimo replied to Trump_is_Mentally_fit's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
I guess its a good thing that NOWHERE in any post have I expressed anything suggesting I'm upset that the kids were in any videos. Reading is paramount but comprehension is just as critical. -

I've run into them a few times. Its truly comical. They're a tiny organization that has no credibility with any group be it white, black, brown, liberal, conservative, jewish, Christian, muslim, flying spaghetti monster. Despite their hateful rhetoric they aren't even violent. They're recognized as a harmless group with bad ideas. A bunch of these nutjobs were standing outside the Mall here in Houston one day preaching death to whitey or something like that. They handed me, a pasty white guy with a cleanly shaven head, a flyer and asked if I was interested in attending meetings!!! -

Sins? I simply do not understand why some people are so invested in the principle surrounding the LEAST eventful thing to happen in Washington DC this week that its necessary for them to maintain the idea that the little angels from Covington are simply not capable of doing any wrong. I hope you're not among them. Its far better to stand on the high ground that its a non-event turned controversy by an irresponsible, agenda driven media and stop there. Let the crazy left talk take that fight and dissect frame by frame when a harmless smile turned into a decidedly racist smirk. -

I didn't dismiss anyone's behavior. Again, reading is paramount and you'll be better served by responding to what I have said rather than what I have not covered. "Douchebag Indian" has every right to do what he did and face any scrutiny which comes with it. No one is debating that which is why its not the focus of the story/controversy. Why the behavior of Black Israelites isn't getting national attention is a different conversation. I didn't give anyone a free pass. Why the bolded doesn't get equal billing is a different conversation. Hint: Racist minorities isn't as profitable of a story. -

I do not expect anything else from the Black Israelites and other short bus hate groups. They're a bunch of clowns and they are not the topic of discussion or controversy. I first found out about the Black Israelites when I was about 17. They were standing in Times Square preaching to disinterested pedestrians about how the White man plotted, planned, and schemed to create a hole in the ozone layer through which an alien invasion will come. I distinctly remember thinking "wait...why wasn't I invited to the planning meetings?" -

I literally said that it wasn't. Reading is paramount to discussion whether it be in the shoutbox or in a thread. Everything after the bolded is just pure gibberish. Did it even make sense in your head? Serious question. -

https://news.vice.com/en_us/article/3kgz7b/heres-where-were-at-with-the-maga-hat-wearing-convington-boys There's a few in that link. The spaz ripping his shirt off, some obnoxious chanting, allegations of a kid calling a girl a slut, a rape joke. Basically my typical Tuesday night. Its anticlimactic. But lets not pretend that teenagers are angels. Kids are nasty little c@#$s and we all know it for we were them once. -

I think I put "Frequently mean to old people" in my Tinder profile. You can be a dick all you want but NFL rules apply: do NOT let it get recorded. And definitely don't get recorded being ungentlemanly wearing a red hat. Don't even jaywalk in a red hat. -

The butt hurt is strong with you, boysty. The main stream media is positively triggered by the sight of red hats, that much is certain. A few years ago this story doesn't even make local news save national news but the American public has boundless appetite for stories involving racist Trump supporters, racist whites, and privileged white kids behaving badly. This twitter "story" hit the trifecta. Only problem is that it was mostly bull####. If the MSM had any integrity they would have walked back the entire story instead of pivoted to white privileged teens and their PR firm or trying to drum up some #MeToo ire. But the business model is break the story first and journalism second. Page 1 headlines and page 23 retractions. However, your story of cherubic wide eyed teens being assaulted by the drum music of a senior citizen rings false. There's plenty of video of these douche nozzles trading words with people strolling by and generally acting like asshats throughout the day. But that's an everyday event not national news. They certainly weren't just standing there reciting silent prayers in their head or whatever ***** they're claiming. These kids are not angels. That said they did not deserve to be berated by Black Israelites and they definitely do not deserve to be chewed up and spit out by major media outlets which only want to open another front in the Red v Blue proxy war. The only story here is a media agenda and the extent to which people on both sides of the aisle will go to politicize a non-event. -
Chiefs fire longtime DC Bob Sutton

Yes, the DC of a team who lost 5 games this season even though his offense scored 40 points, 51 points, 28 points, 31 points, and 31 points in those 5 losses was relieved of his duties. -

By taken to the whipping post you mean come within one play of going to the super bowl and losing OT? He has been out coached by Belichek a few times when it mattered. Welcome to the least exclusive club in the NFL. Firing Reid is a viable idea. Who is available that represents a better alternative? Disagree all you want but know that you're wrong. -

No one expected the Chiefs with second year QB Mahomes to blow away the competition and come within one procedural penalty of the super bowl. His seat is anything but warm. -

I think taste in humor is commonly different between men and women. Purely anecdotal but I've watched a number of ex girlfriends suffer through my favorite stand-up specials and then crack up during a woman's stand up act while I took my turn pretending to laugh trying not to ruin her fun. -

There aren't a lot of fixes for wrongful castration. Prosthetic technology just isn't there yet. -

And now you're a senior engineer supervisor. Dodging the draft was probably the smartest thing you ever did. -

Yes, going to a top 50 has been irrelevant. I could be exactly where I am today with a state school education. -

https://thehill.com/homenews/state-watch/326995-census-more-americans-have-college-degrees-than-ever-before More young Americans have college degrees now than at any other time in our history, so I'm not sure what you're talking about. The idea of college as mandatory is a relatively new concept and its being re-examined. It wasn't that long ago that you didn't need a degree to be successful. Now a college degree is the new high school diploma. Its not an achievement, its an expectation. Yet my generation was still sold the idea that you go to college and you're guaranteed a good job and the American Dream and all that *****. Get good grades, get into the best school you can, and it will all be worthwhile. "You'll have that $120k in debt paid off in no time with the amazing job you'll get with your shiny new degree, kid!" Problem is its not true and because the lofty idea of education as pure and noble the environment has not been suitable to have the necessary conversation about how the sausage actually gets made. A fair number of kids I graduated with found waiting tables at Applebee's was paying more than entry level jobs. Which brings us to this: https://www.forbes.com/sites/robertfarrington/2018/12/12/student-loan-bubble-wont-burst/#5f16d3ca6768 We're not doing kids any favors by allowing them to take out crippling debt because education cannot hurt. The simple fact is that if everyone in the world were college educated someone would still need to clean my toilet. Cleaning my toilet can be tough (I've got some real trick shot magic going on since I got back from Mexico) but you don't need much of an education to get that baby sparkling. Feed the homeless to the starving. Kill 2 birds with 1 stone. -

Adults who are still picky eaters have low IQs. Bumper stickers of any kind are for picky eaters. Leaving your shopping cart propped up on a curb or free to roam around a parking lot should be punishable by jail time. Walk it back to the corral you lazy f@#$s! Also, using a weight bench as a coffee table and doing exercises next to the bench should be punishable by hard jail time. Lying about your connecting flight leaving in 10 minutes to deplane faster, jumping up a boarding group, cutting in line, not re-racking your weights, and the myriad other things people do to game the system and save precious seconds doesn't make you clever. It makes you an #######. -

What’s your most Controversial opinion?
Jauronimo replied to Juror#8's topic in Off the Wall Archives
Here's a controversial opinion: "Serving" our country isn't some noble selfless act. For the vast majority of people in our military, enlisting was the best option available to them at the time. It was the option that guaranteed them a job, 3 square meals a day, and a place to live. For those playing the long game it even guarantees you funding to go back and get a college education after your term is up. Its an effective system which incentivizes enlistment while meeting our defense needs. Yes, there are some true believers who enlist due to family tradition or sense of duty but at the time of enlistment I'm betting they're the vast minority. Stories do have a funny way of changing through the years. In summary, I do not think the condition whereby military service represents the best option available to a person makes that individual: 1. Noble 2. A better American 3. A hero 4. More important to democracy than citizens who had better career options. -

Yes, because our best and brightest are currently in the Army and USMC. They'll perform adequately as long as someone is there telling them where, when, how, and who to vote for.
