Recession is upon us - disastrous economic data
Jauronimo replied to Big Blitz's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
My bad. Thought you were better than "stock market went up = my team better than your team". Sorry for the interruption. -
Recession is upon us - disastrous economic data
Jauronimo replied to Big Blitz's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Depends on how its going to be used. Data is great when its used to craft an intellectually honest and consistent argument. In this case, data was used to make the usual slinging of *****, that passes for political commentary in these parts, ostensibly passable. Data wasn't needed. -
Recession is upon us - disastrous economic data

The Callahan Cheektowaga Homeless Index is a lagging indicator in every sense of the word. "The stock market is not the economy unless its convenient" is the only economic truth on this board. -

Its really amazing how Harris was able to completely mismanage the Japanese economy for 20 years in her one month as a presidential candidate. -

Willie Anderson says the Blind Side is keeping him out of the HOF
Jauronimo replied to stuvian's topic in The Stadium Wall
The movie is purely a human interest story. The book deals with a decent amount of football history and how left tackle became a money position in the NFL. Lawrence Taylor was knocking QBs out of the game and overnight linemen stopped being viewed as interchangeable cogs. Anyone up to the task of handling premier edge rushers was suddenly among the highest paid players in the league. -
Should we be concerned about Milano in pass coverage this year?
Jauronimo replied to Jerry Jabber's topic in The Stadium Wall
Those are different plays. Milano has been beaten and he has had some good reps. Hes not getting toasted every play. -
Has anyone tried any of these diabetes shots for weight loss?
Jauronimo replied to Virgil's topic in Off the Wall
I know a few people who have used variants of Ozempic and lost a lot of weight pretty quickly. They swear its a miracle. Its not just diet related changes in behavior either. They're finding they don't drink as much. Basically less sensitive to impulsive/addictive behaviors. -
Tua gets the bag - $53M a year
Jauronimo replied to hellofellowbillsfans's topic in The Stadium Wall
Weirdly enough, FinHeaven is happier about this than we are! And I'm happy for them. Not enough years or money in my opinion. That was Tannehill when Clay dropped the winning TD. Dec 2018. -
I can't think of any super bowl winning team in the modern era that didn't have defined roles on offense. We should be more worried than usual.

Do you have crazy CC rewards points racked up from the Corporate Amex? I need to learn how to maximize my miles and points before the next big trip.

I don't know how I managed to fly before pre-check, lounge access, and global entry. Even with those perks it can still be a miserable experience.

Every ####### on every flight now thinks "I have a tight connection" is a clever way to force your way to the front of the plane when disembarking. Half the time I see these people in line at Starbucks 5 minutes later.

I recently flew Southwest as A-1. I was maybe the 30th person on the plane after all the wheelchair preboards and their entire extended family and friends. The wheelchair preboard in front of me spent the entire flight pacing up and down the aisle. And of course, zero wheelchairs were needed to deplane.

I'm really starting to love this WR room. We quietly got better

Well, well, well. How the turntables have...turned. -

And Peterman might get a start this season and go on to have a more successful career than Mahomes. You don't know what the future holds!!! But as of 11:09 PM Central Time, Peterman is a bum, Shanahan, McVay, Reid are the best offensive minds in the game and nothing about Brady's body of work to date suggests he will be considered in the same tier as the guys above. All of those guys got head coaching positions based on their prowess as innovative offense coordinators. -
Excellent Article on Terrel Bernard from Tim Graham
Jauronimo replied to MikePJ76's topic in The Stadium Wall
Isn't great is an understatement. The offense actively lost the Jets game with turnovers. Punts and field goals would have won the game. Against the Pats and Jags the offense had managed 10 and 7 points going into the 4th quarter. Thats bad. Winning when the offense is bad is hard to do in the modern NFL. -
Unfair media coverage is your basis for supporting Trump? Getting a raw deal in the MSM has not made him any more fit for office. I would similarly encourage you to revisit why you didn't want Trump in 2016 and vote for Brain Worms in 2024. Be your own man!

I don't know why that is harder to comprehend than accepting an option we don't love as our new messiah and the basis of our entire personality.

With the exception of the Eagles OT loss, the offense was largely a no show in all of our losses. -
Lamar Jackson sent home sick with illness
Jauronimo replied to TBBills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall
If you accept the role of a backup, present no threat to the starter, and are a good teammate who will run a scout team and prep the new rookie draft pick, you can hang around for a good 20 years as a backup QB. -
What is your drink limit before you get behind the wheel?
Jauronimo replied to Another Fan's topic in Off the Wall
If I know I am going to be drinking, I Uber there and take the car out of the equation...almost, nearly, most of the time. I need to get that % up.
